Every town needs a bad boy, and Wrangler's Creek's has been gone far too long

Getting his high school girlfriend pregnant was just one square in Roman Granger's checkered past, but it changed him forever. When his son's mother skipped town after the birth, Roman decided to do the same, baby Tate in tow, hoping for a fresh start.

Now Roman fears his teenage son is following i

Every book by Delores Fossen I read only reinforces my belief that she has mastered the ability to write the craziest, wackiest and funniest small town stories that capture the good, the bad and the ugly; stuff that will make you cringe, roll your eyes and laugh out loud; and BRANDED AS TROUBLE is no different. If you need a book to make you laugh or need a lighthearted and entertaining pick-me-up, this book and this author's work is sure to do the job.

This is Roman's story and it is a doozy. After getting his high school girlfriend pregnant and having to raise his son Tate by himself after said girlfriend dumped both of them. Roman made a rule to only sleep with woman three times. "Three times or less was just casual sex, but anything more then that strayed into commitment territory." He was used to woman chasing him and wanting more but when he is forced to move back to the ranch because of his sons problems and reconnects with Mila. Sparks ...more

When Delores Fossen has a new book out, I jump on it. She is definitely my all- time favorite contemporary romance author. Her stories never fail to delight. She somehow manages to perfectly blend humorous moments, teary moments, and real life struggles into a wonderful, believable romance. While this story tackles some tough subjects, she approaches them with optimism and humor showing how even what may seem a daunting problem can be faced and overcome.

Roman Granger was always known as a bada

This book, and this entire series, feels like a “train wreck” read for me. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – after all, the reason why gazer block is such a problem after a highway accident is that we can’t turn our eyes away from the disaster.

And so it is for me with the Wrangler’s Creek series. The entire thing is so overrun with stampeding drama llamas, in so many coats and stripes and colors, that even as it drives me absolutely bananas I can’t turn

Branded as Trouble is the third book in the Wrangler's Creek series, and having thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the series, I was eager to read this one, and, as has been the case, this installment in the series was another excellent and fun read, and it gets 5 stars from this reader.

Roman Granger is the divorced dad of 13-year old Tate, but his work in one of the family-owned businesses keeps him away from home for long periods of time, and home hasn't been the ranch for a very long t

I've long been a fan of Harlequin Books since I could remember. Their books are always filled with romance a treat to read. Although I frequently read Harlequin, this is my first time reading Delores Fossen! Luckily for me it was a great treat to experience her writing. I loved the second-chance romance storyline. I also loved to see how Roman grew and changed through the years and ultimately how he handled his sons decisions. Another aspect,

This was a book of how hurts as a child follow you to adulthood and shape you for good and bad. Misunderstandings and broken trust build walls that may never fall.
Roman Granger considered the badass of the family. He's stayed away from the ranch since he was 18 and a single father. Now thrown back in the middle of family and the ranch for the sake of his son Tate he's forced to face the past he'd rather forget. Mila Banchini his sisters best friend and Tate's mothers cousin is the opposite

Good book. Roman is the third of the Grangers and the one who is actually the owner of the ranch, even though he wants nothing to do with it. Instead, he concentrates on his own rodeo business and takes care of his son. Things aren’t going smoothly on that front, and Roman came home from a business trip to find that Tate was in trouble at school. The only thing to do is pack up and finish out the school year in Wrangler’s Creek, the very last place he wants to go.

Tate’s aunt Mila has stayed in W

Mila Banchini has a lot going for her. She's smart, pretty, a good friend, and owner of the local bookstore. She also has a wacky mother most people in town steer clear of and, oh yeah, she's most likely the only virgin over the age of 25 in Wrangler's Creek. Plenty of men (of all ages) are willing to help with her "little problem" but Mila's heart has always been set on Roman Granger. Too bad Roman fell for her self-centered cousin in high school. In the years since Mila's cousin left town, ab ...more

Roman Granger might have been the black sheep of the family and the town’s bad boy, but he’s always taken parenting seriously, and when his thirteen year-old son Tate shows signs of following his footsteps, he knows he must stay close to the boy, but after Tate gets in a school fight, he runs away to a friend, Mila Banchini. Mila has always been infatuated with handsome Roman: a single father when still in his teens, he has a business to run, he has never had time for relationships. But events b ...more

I try not to get all fangirl and start gushing out about Branded As Trouble but I can't guarantee it will not happen. I loved the story, absolutely every brilliant word of it. Delores Fossen's writing is something else. She can capture into one sentence so many emotions and layers of meaning it is delightful to just read the books, not to mention enjoy the stories. There can be so much tragedy and sadness in the meaning of the words and in the story yet it is said and expressed in such a way I c ...more

"Branded as Trouble" is Delores Fossen's newest book in the "Wrangler's Creek" series. This book is the long-awaited instalment from Roman Granger's perspective, Roman having been an important but somewhat reclusive character in the previous two books in the series.

After his high-school girlfriend left him and their baby, Roman took his son (Tate) and left Wrangler's Creek, despite being the owner of the ranch there. In San Antonio, Roman stays as far away from his family as possible- which is d

My first book by Delores Fossen and certainly not my last.

The Good: The personal conflicts cropping up throughout this small town has a little bit of a Soap Opera feel to it but I loved every minute of it. I very much enjoyed most of the characters and their quirks. I felt the family connections between the Grangers and their extended family, including Mila, was probably one of the best things about this book. Although not completely parallel, the town reminds me a bit like Brenda Novak's Whiske

This was a hilarious read. The romance, conflict, the characters, as well as how the plot played out made this book hilarious, enchanting, and sexy at the same time.
Roman has had a ...... weird life. He wasn't ready for fatherhood after the horrendous role model his father was. But when he got his high school girlfriend pregnant he stepped up to the task and did everything he could to make it work. And when his girlfriend left town he took over sole responsibility for his son Tate. He did every

One of the Wrangler's Creek series, in which we meet commitment-phobe Roman Granger who's convinced that keeping sex to three times and then saying good-bye is protective of his heart, especially after the mother of his 13-year-old son took off shortly after the boy's birth. Every time she shows up, Tate ends up being hurt and now he's acting out, for reasons Roman isn't sure.

When he takes Tate to the family ranch in Wrangler's Creek to get him away from the school where the latest difficulties

Roman is too busy workings and being a single father to a troubled teen to have a relationship. When his son manages to get expelled from his school they decide to start over in a new school back to his home in Wrangler's Creek. Little did he expect to be seeing a lot of Mila who is very different from his son's mother in every way and its she who is slowly but surly making him question his rule of not getting close to any one.

I've been so busy lately that I just needed a moment of escape and th

If you're looking for an easy ride into the sunset, think again. Mila and Roman have been dancing around each other for decades... it's not gonna change overnight. No matter what mojo Vita works. No matter how many not so subtle hints are dropped. No matter how many people seem to know about her "v" status that really shouldn't. However, if one of them happened to take a step in the other's direction, play the game by the rules of the other, and make an offer that could hardly be refused... well ...more

This is the first time I’ve read this author’s work and I was so glad I read this book. The characters are so unique and wacky and really interesting, and the prose is crisp. The dialogue is snappy and the story events keep a fast pace throughout the book.

In fact, the only thing I would have liked more of would have been deeper scenes that explored the hero’s reasons for steering clear of relationships. The couple’s romantic conflict is based solely upon that, and I wanted maybe a little more em

Roman Granger, the Granger's bad boy, has finally met his match in Mila Banchini who has had a crush on Roman since their high school days. My favorite scene in the book was between Roman and his 13 year old son, Tate. Tate asked just the right question of Roman who avoids relationship like they are a plague. Roman says he is bad at relationships and Tate asked him how he knows. Just the right question at the right time. The other Granger's make a appearance in the story and at least one other g ...more

This one wasn't my favorite, I just didn't really feel the pull between Roman and Mila. I mean, I was told it was there and the attraction was there, but I didn't really see Roman fall in love with her. I think there was just too much going on in the background with Tate and his issues in school and his mother. As well as Roman's mother, Belle, and her love life. Not to mention Mila's mother dropping her revelation about Mila's father. The story just felt too unfocused, so the love story was los ...more

Branded as Trouble

Mila had loved Roman forever, even when he got her cousin pregnant. He refused to marry the cousin and raise his son himself. When his mother had a heart episode, and his son was found with a bottle of pills he rushed to the hospital along with the rest of his family. As he was getting the doctors report, he fainted. His appendix burst. So he, his estranged mother and his son all ended up in the same wars in the hospital. Mila, not to be left out, offered him her virginity....f

Roman returns home to Wrangler's Creek even though he hates it. The fact that he would do anything for the betterment of his son was extremely sexy. Mila was a friend. Only a friend. But when Mila steps up and asks/demands that Roman rid her of her V-card, things start to change for him. I had a hard time putting this book down. I'm really hoping that there will be more books set in this town. The secondary characters are awesome!!!

This was a 3.5 story about Roman Granger and his thirteen year old son that he had raised since his high school girlfriend ran away right after Tate was born. Roman decided that relationships was not for him so he did not date any one girl more than three times in a row so they would not get the wrong idea about him. He did not know that a young woman by the name of Mila Banchini would turn his whole world upside down without him even knowing what hit him. Good read.

Talk about a steamy romance! 😱😱 I usually steer clear of "cowboy romance" novels, but I got Branded as Trouble by Delores Fossen in my monthly Reader's Service shipment. I was running low on my TBR pile and decided I would give it a shot. I am SOOOO glad I did. The rest of the Wrangler's Creek series is now on my TBR list.

While this was an okay read, I did think the story line went on longer than it needed to. Parts of the plot were implausible, and some of the plot strands didn't seem necessary except to add padding to the plot.

Really good book...

Except all the 50 Shades of Nonsense/Twilight stuff. I loathe those ‘books’ and don’t understand the appeal of vampires that sparkle or romanticized abuse.
