Book Review For: Call To Engage by Tawny Weber

Call to Engage by Tawny Weber My rating: 4 of 5 stars 'Call To Engage' by Tawny Weber is book Two in the "Team Poseidon". This is the story of Elijah and Ava. I have not yet read the previous book and do feel that I would have enjoyed this more if I had but overall I found this be be a exciting story. This was a second chance at love For Elijah and Ava. Both have changed so much since their marriage where they had to deal with a tragedy that they
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series, Call to Honor, and jumped at the chance to read this sequel Both stories are concerned with the men who form the Poseidon team of elite Navy SEALs, their interactions, what happens to them and their search to discover just who is betraying them...... Whilst this story could be read as a standalone, I believe readers will benefit from reading the series in order as

Call to Honor was a really great start to this series and this installment only confirms to me that this is definitely a series for the keeper shelf. CALL TO ENGAGE is filled with drama, intrigue, betrayal, passion and emotion, and of course the bonds of brotherhood the team shares which are sure to be tested again and again. Unlike the previous book that left me grinning from ear to ear, this one left me in a pensive mood, even though I really enjoyed it.

I have become more of a Tawny Weber fan as I keep reading her books! So far her books have a great story filled with a lot of background and great swoon worthy relationships!!

This book follows Elijah who is recovering from a bad mission and trying to get his life back on track while figuring out what happened. Elijah is an elite Seal whose life has been dedicated to serving his country. This book also follows Ava who is Elijah’s ex-wife. She is also working on getting her life back on track. Eli

Second book in the Team Poseidon series and it is better to read the first book if you can. Elijah has been betrayed by a team member. And a marriage to Ava that went horribly wrong.

Ava is strong and has moved on to rebuild her life. She works at a gym.

Elijah stays with his cousin after her gets out of the hospital and guess who owns the gym? Yep, the cousin. Ava wants to keep it professional and Elijah would like more.

The Commander wants to find out who betrayed the team.

This is the second book in the Team Poseidon series and is better read after the first book. It continues the story of the Poseidon's quest to find one of their own who betrayed them all. In the process we get to know Elijah who was severely injured in the betrayal and Ava. After a devastating tragedy, Ava divorced Navy SEAL Elijah Preston. But when circumstances bring them together again, old feelings resurface.

Team Poseidon #2

This second chance at a HEA for Lieutenant Elijah Prescott “Rembrandt” and his ex-wife Ava Monroe has Elijah taking some R&R to think through the issues bothering him. Elijah and Ava never really talked things through before they divorced and it has festered as they moved forward with their lives. Ava is no longer a pampered princess and Elijah is not as sure as he once was. Add in the fact that the Poseidon team is looking for one of their team that

Elijah and Ava never had any trouble communicating between the sheets. It was outside the bedroom where the difficulties began. The pampered, only child of wealthy, controlling parents, Ava was not prepared to be the wife of a Navy SEAL. In truth, she never tried to be, letting her fear and her mother's continual attempts to sabotage her marriage to Elijah rule her. When tragedy struck, instead of turning to her husband in their shared grief, Ava ran - from her pain, from her fear, and from her ...more

This is the second book in this series and I am loving them MS Weber knows how to bring to life these SEALs who are driven by honour and strength and to protect, and they also know how to treat a woman. This is Elijah Prescott’s story a time for Elijah or Rembrandt as he is called by the team to work out a few things that have gone wrong lately and to perhaps reconnect with the only woman that he has loved and he is going home to do so and what a journey it is sit back and enjoy.

Fun! Fun! and Fun! This was my first Tawny Weber book and my first Team Poseidon book. What an energy filled story with angst, and passion! First when the story begins, Lieutenant Elijah Prescott is in very bad shape. It's obvious that although his body has healed, mentally he is not over the disaster that was his last assignment. As part of one of the most elite teams in the Navy-Poseidon

I love this series. Add a totally alpha male hero, an ass-kicking kick-ass heroine and a great cast of supporting characters and you get one awesome book. Can't wait for book #3 in this series.

Call to Engage is the second novel in the Team Poseidon series, and I'm very glad I read the first novel in the series, Call to Honor, because although this novel can be read as a standalone, having met the myriad cast of characters in the previous novel made it much easier to understand the SEAL team and it's members, the botched mission that forms the backdrop to Call to Engage, and the relationships between the characters. At its heart, this is second chance at love story, and I liked it marg ...more
Exciting continuation of the series and second chance love story. Team Poseidon is searching for a fellow team member who has betrayed his country and his team. The first book, Call to Honor, involved discovery of the treachery and finding out that the man hadn't died during the mission after all. This story is about Elijah Prescott, one of the victims of that same mission. He has mostly recovered from his injuries, but still suffers from some emotional fallout. Elijah heads home on leave to dec ...more

I probably should read the first book, because I get a feeling that a little of book 1 feeds into book 2. However, I’m managing okay. We have the mission with the group, and the group is trying to find out if Ramsay is still alive. We also have Elijah who is dealing with the aftermath. Then his ex-wife is brought into the story. They still have issues they haven’t solved.

Anyway, I struggle with Ava. Seriously struggle. Some of my perspective comes from being a military

The author has an interesting way to grab the reader’s attention. Left me thinking that I won’t be going anywhere for a while. Even though this is part of a series, I don’t feel you have to read the books in order. But in order to understand the group of men that Elijah Prescott works with, you may just want to make sure to read all the books that come out in this series.

This was another great edition to Tawny Weber's Team Poseidon series!

In Call to Engage, difficult subjects dealt with - for Elijah, betrayal by a team member, physical and emotional aftereffects of an assignment gone wrong - for Ana, a very personal tragedy that occurred during her marriage to Elijah a few years earlier, and a difficult, strained relationship with her parents - all of which makes for different angles within the story.

And that is precisely what makes this a wonderful story! We r

Tawny Weber is known for writing stories with sexy Navy SEALs. I have read many of them that were part of the Harlequin Blaze line. This is the second book in the Team Poseidon series. Uh, not sure how I missed the first book, but I did. Bad me!

This is a novel of second chances. (God I've been reading a lot of these lately) Elijah and Ava were married before and they are very different people now, but they still have feelings for each other. Ava is now working in a gym. Ava reminded me a little

When I was younger, I was never concerned with showing up late to parties, the whole fashionably late thing and all, but now, I hate being late. I say this because, once again, I'm late to an amazing party in Tawny Weber's Team Poseidon's party, and I could kick myself to be honest. I'm new to this series, and yes, I know that I would probably be better off reading the first book, but she's such a talented writer that I wasn't completely lost. An emotional, passionate, and touching romance story with a touch of danger and suspense.
This story has a heartfelt, in-depth look at the sacrifices, challenges, and the instability that military families live with on daily basis, how the service to the country affects those serving and to those who are left behind waiting for the homecoming. The nightmares, flashbacks, and losses the service personal faces and come home with were described with raw honesty as well as the terrors that they carry

Call to Engage by Tawny Weber is the second book in her Team Poseidon romantic suspense series which features tough, honour bound SEALS, who form an elite Team called Team Poseidon tasked with sensitive missions that only these special trained SEALS can complete, and their strong, independent heroines.

I adored the first book, Call to Honor and was eager to get my hands on the next book. It is better to read the first book before you read this one because the action and the mission continues from

The past happened and all you can do is to move forward. However when confronted with your past, that’s a whole lot easier said than done.

Ava Monroe knew about that. She had married, she had lost and she had dealt with it, right? Except when she runs into her ex husband, then she isn’t really as sure. She is a different person though now. She is stronger and wiser now. She can deal with this and anything he throws at her.

Second in the Team Poseidon series, we return to trying to understand what went wrong with a mission that revealed a SEAL who turned on his own, but why remains unclear. The chaos in the wake of that treasonous behavior has Lt. Elijah Prescott still hurting and plagued by horrendous nightmares. The second book in Ms. Weber's Team Poseidon series did not disappoint! This one follows "Rembrandt" (aka Elijah Prescott) as he and the Poseidon team continue to try to find the missing traitor who eluded them in the last book. Elijah's also struggling with his future--is it still in the military? as a part of the Team? or does he have a second chance with his ex, the only woman he ever loved? Does making one of these choices exclude the others?

I loved Ava--she truly is a kick butt heroine! Fin

Elijah/Rembrandt had devoted his life to the Navy and his SEAL team. His marriage had ended when a tragedy put too much pressure on the precarious relationship. A mission gone wrong had left him needing months of recovery. While the team was under suspicion from a rogue team member, Elijah returned home to family, friends, and the one woman who had and still held his heart.
