Jennifer Lewis is the USA Today bestselling author of more than thirty books, which have been translated into more than twenty languages.

"I’ve been making up stories since the day I was born. I always loved to draw as well as write and as a child I drew graphic novellas featuring penniless but plucky Cinderella heroines. My love of daydreaming earned me the nickname “Dozy Duck” in Kindergarten, and I still consider staring into space to be a constructive activity.

I was born in Manhattan but my family moved to London when I was six months old, toting me along in a cat basket. I grew up as a Brit and traveled extensively in Europe during my only-slightly-misspent formative years.

I came back to the States to earn a bachelor’s degree in Semiotics from Brown University and begin a journey into the world of trans-Atlantic accents that I have still not fully emerged from. On graduation I returned to New York, where I learned to explain Semiotics on job interviews (“It’s the study of signs and systems of meaning!”) and to apply my knowledge in a very enjoyable career at a television museum.

While organizing exhibits on subjects ranging from Elvis Presley to Monty Python, I began to experiment with writing my own stories. It was quite a revelation to discover that the tales I’d been dreaming up forever could actually be turned into books. After a couple of detours--my son and my daughter--I focused all my creative energy on writing and my first book came out from Silhouette Desire in 2007.

I live in South Florida with my family, which includes an adorable greyhound and four horses.

Not impressed

This story plot did not hold my attention. It was a predictable story line. Sandro just did not have much personality and neither did Serena. I can see her being embarrassed by her fiance dumping her and she not wanting to be around family. Everything else in the story did not do it for me.

I should note that this is two stars simply because my tolerance for very predictable, even in a romance book that one knows is going to be somewhat predictable is rather low. I do want to note however, that the heroine is particularly well done - she isn't going on about how ugly she is, she acknowledges her faults, and has some humor.

SENSUALITY RATING: YES Profanity (very mild, not a distraction from the plot; YES sexual encounter (Mild, acceptable)

GENRE: Current day Romance; Romance; Biracial Romance

SETTING: Rented beach house

CENTRAL FEMALE CHARACTER: SERENA RAINES – African America best-selling author; Persistent

CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: - SANDRO LEONE – from Europe; persistent; royalty; great cook

SYNOPSIS: She never expected a raging storm. Her fiancé was no more. A raging storm did not matter. He had his own issues. He found her a challenge since she did not want him disturbing her peace.

WHAT I LIKED: Rescue of the dog.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: Is she an easy lay?

OVERALL RATING: (3) stars because I really enjoyed his persistence and lucky he was there for her. Well written and could have had a more interesting ending. “Stormy” damsel in distress. Not a particular plot because the reader knew where this was obviously going. No surprises here.

The only thing good about this interracial romance story is the cover of the book. This book is called; "A Prince For Christmas!" Should have been called; "Disrespecting A Prince For Chrismas!" Serena got on my damn frickin' nerves. All she cared about was her social media status, oh what are my followers going to think, being shallow and Woe, Is Me. Smh. If you ask me, her ex got out just in time {just saying} And Prince Sandro - shouldn't have even given her the time of day. Then the book just stops abruptly (about 70%) and is all advertising excerpts of other books. Will not be continuing with next book.

I am a Grinch, so not really enjoying the book is no surprise. I needed something easy to read and this book fit the need. Romance novels are not my thing either. The story was very predictable. I am through reading about Christmas.

Fantastic

A short but thrilling read. The chemistry between these two, adding in a rising storm and a dog, was certainly worth the read.

A good free novella, but it didn't impress me enough to read the next book in the series.

A Prince For Christmas is a short story where we meet Serena Raines, a lifestyle guru, and Sandro Leone, a playboy Prince. They end up spending Christmas riding out a winter storm in each other's arms. I loved seeing their first meeting. I can't wait to see what happens next. These characters are charming. They are good together. Their relationship developed swiftly and was intense. I felt their connection and wanted it to be more than a holiday fling. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Cute

I liked it. I am not a big fan of series. Especially when they are short like this one. This was a cute romantic start to that spark that sets off fireworks in the belly and heart.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was cute, light, and fun. The prince is such a charmer and I am looking forward to reading the next book. I only wish it were a little longer.
