1. Write for a specific person, not a demographic. 2. Write with art and layout in mind. 3. Be concise as possible. 4. Investigate your subject as deeply as possible. 5. Use deadlines as motivation.
There are some interesting things said about writing copy here. I enjoyed some of this book. I endured most of it. Some of the ads are so racist and sexist that their creators should be shamed, not held up as examples to emulate. This book came out in 1995. So it’s old enough to know better.
