Four heart warming novellas that are just right for a one sitting quick read, of course, you won’t be able to stop at just one.
Four different authors and four different stories all set in Amish country, all taking place at Christmas time, and all contain a form of “love”, whether human or animal, they all make real the meaning of my favorite holiday.
Each story is set in a different part of the US, but all are connected by being set with Plain people, and feature a bit of romance, all set in the

Novella collections are the perfect read when I need a break during busy times, which happens more often than I’d like! And since I love Amish fiction, An Amish Christmas Love by four authors that I always enjoy was so very satisfying. Each story is centered around the Christmas season and includes some romance.

Winter Kisses by Beth Wiseman is a little unconventional, and I loved that about it. With three generations of unmarried women living under one roof, and three eligible bachelors staying

A Christmas potpourri of love and romance in Amish country.

Winter Kisses by Beth Wiseman -- Three generations of Stoltzfus women find romance at Christmas. Grossmammi Ruth has been widowed for a very long time, but not single by choice. She's ardently pursued every widower in their community, much to the embarrassment of her daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Love Ruth because she's funny and frank and full of mischief.

Daughter-in-law, Barbara, also a widow, has no intention of looking for love

I am always in the mood for a good Christmas story, and it's always a bonus when I get to sit down and read more than one in one book! So, it never fails when I get a new book with Christmas themes, that I fall in love with them. This is no exception!

This anthology contains four heart warming stories centered around the Amish. Each story pulled me in, hooked me and took me on a wonderful sleigh ride through God's amazing graces. These four authors know exactly what their readers like and how to

This is a sweet collection of novellas that will help readers usher in the Christmas season. The stories were short enough to make for a quick read, but long enough to help me connect to the characters.

Winter Kisses by Beth Wiseman – I enjoyed the humor of this lighthearted story. The grandmother provided quite a few fun moments and the romances were sweet, too. This was an uplifting story.

The Christmas Cat by Amy Clipston – Although I really enjoy this author’s writing, I was afraid that I migh

I have read a few books about the Amish or Plain people, but most have been mysteries. This book is made up of four heart warming novellas. They all take place at Christmas time and have various themes such as Lost Love, Grief and love remembered, forgiveness, friendship etc. Each story can be read in one sitting. I am not going to go into detail about each story, you can read that in the book description, but suffice it to say that they are heart warming stories that show us God's grace and lov ...more

I always enjoy reading Amish Christmas books. This one is now my favorite this year. Four amazing stories wrapped into one great book. Each story will warm your heart and have you feeling like you are there with them. I really like the fact that the authors took time to allow you to get to know each Character. Sometimes novellas are rushed. Not these in this book. Even though I didn't want the stories to end, each one was detailed and well written. I never read books a second time but this one w ...more

An Amish Christmas Love is another anthology of novellas from publisher Thomas Nelson & Zondervan Fiction. Like the other Amish collections, this one compiles four stories from four different authors. If you're a fan of Amish fiction, authors Beth Wiseman, Amy Clipston, Kelly Irvin and Ruth Reid are familiar names. With the theme of Christmas in the background, we can expect the warmth that is simultaneous with the season.

In Beth Wiseman's Winter Kisses, it is so endearing to see how three gener

Winter Kisses by Beth Wiseman

I feel like no matter how I chose to review novella’s the first story always bears the brunt. Not necessarily about the story or even in my feelings about the story or the rating of the book. Novella’s are hard for me to love. I have a ‘thing’ about the whole falling in love so fast and jumping both feet in. I’ve talked about that before a few times. Novella’s also have a hard time truly building an integrated story that doesn’t feel rushed or lacking or having massi

Four authors came together to write sweet, romantic stories that were set during the Christmas holidays and featured Amish characters. Each story is separate and is tied with the others by the theme. The novellas will give new readers a taste of the author's writing style and a glimpse into what Amish fiction is like. Readers who have already enjoyed these authors will love the short, but good stories that are written by authors they love.

4 stars:
Winter Kisses: This was a cute story. I liked the characters and the story. The ending was sweet.

I couldn’t be more excited to read this collection of heart warming, holiday inspired stories. I have enjoyed reading many books by each of the authors and was pleasantly surprised how each of their novellas in this collection turned out.

Hands down my personal favorite came in the form of a story with a furry companion. A sweet little cat in need of a home. How does this animal lover and book lover not love such a combination? Amy Clipston has never failed me as an author with how her stories t

Ever since discovering Beverly Lewis' books when I was a young teenager, I've always loved inspirational Amish fiction. The Amish culture is something I was never really familiar with before that, but I've come to really appreciate their culture through the beautiful books I've read about it. As well, anyone who knows me knows that I'm completely Christmas crazy, and I'll honestly read Christmas themed books at any time of the year, even in the crazy heat of summer like was the case with this on ...more

In “Winter Kisses” by Beth Wiseman, you meet three generations of women from the Stoltzfus family – Naomi, Barbara, and Ruth who just kept me in stitches throughout the story. She reminded me of my own grandmother with some of her quirkiness. Beth Wiseman does a great job of portraying each character and bringing their emotions to life. You can feel the love, sorrow, and expectation from each character as the story moves along. What fun to learn about the three ladies as well as the three men br ...more
