Hot and sexy
I loved this story, the couple have an age difference which the guy is hung up on. This is a second chance romance with lots of delicious, hot, suspense.

Nice story with one of the Underground crew finding a second-chance love. The trainer Anton has been working undercover for Interpol for the last ten years and wants to take time off. He asks Tex for a recommendation in his area and Tex allows him to stay in his home.
When he goes to a diner for a quick meal, he finds an abusive owner screaming and terrifying his female employees, including one possessing a voice he never thought he'd hear again. He runs into the kitchen to find the young girl he had met 15 years earlier, now grown into an exhausted, down woman.
Sofia has had a hard time with life and the young, pretty twenty-year-old college student is no more. When he finds the depth of trouble she is in, he takes her and her troubles on. She needs a hero, and this tired, fifty-year-old spook is it for her.

Roman is finally on vacation. He is staying at Trex's place. He decides to go eat and hears an argument. He can't believe it when he hears Sofia's voice. He ends up dragging her out and takes her home with him. Sofia doesn't know what she will do. She has lost her apartment, her job and has no clue how she will pay for her mom's stay in the nursing home. She is also staying with the man she has loved for 15 years. Roman has denied her for 15 years because of the age difference. Can he help Sofia? Will he finally give into the one woman he has loved all this time?

Age doesn't matter if you are 15 yrs. older as long as you love each other. I hate when men threaten women for sex or whatever. Those kind of people are disgusting when they do that and to have a former love come back in her life again I love reading that.

Good read
Roman just wanted something to eat. Someone else wanted to yell at the waitress. Finally he'd had enough and he went into the kitchen and confronted the cook. Told him to put down the knife and that Sofia wasn't working there anymore. Sofia was shocked. No one had ever stood up for her before.

I loved the book!
I love Becca Jameson + I love Susan Stoker's universe.
The combination was awesome.
Roman deserved his own happy ending.
Sofia was at the end of her rope.
She had not paid rent in a long time + her utilities were about to be shut down.
She still had to paid her mother's nursing home.
What is a girl to do?
Roman ( Knight in shining armor ) comes into town + saves the day.
This was a very damsel in distress story.
I would have liked to have some participation from Wolf's team. ( Wolf, Dude, Abe, etc )
Overall, it was a good read.
No Cliffhangers!

Every thing I like
This story contains everything I like. Strong, take charge man yet kind and thoughtful. Stepping in to take care of business and yet not stomp all over the woman who is strong and trying her best to deal with all the issues she has. Also on the plus side is the fact he is a mature 50 and she is 35; not kids yet not acting like they are over the hill and perfect sex scenes! This was a real winner for me, just wish is was longer, I hated to see it end. Read it! You won't regret it.

10+++ - I'm feeling fortunate to have "discovered" Becca Jameson's Underground series, and Susan Stoker's series, and THIS mash up of the two is brilliant & wonderful & I know I'm gushing but I don't care! I loved this quick, steamy read bringing a wonderful HEA to one of my favorite characters from Becca's series. Two thumbs up for Roman & Sofia! *Hearts* : )

Good story!
This was a well written quick story. This was very character driven. The storyline was easy to follow. And you keep flipping the pages to see how this couple gets their HEA!

Roman has lived Sofia Leskov for 15 years and after a very long undercover job in Chicago he's decided to check up on Sofia. But when he arrived at her diner he's shocked at how she looks. After losing her job he takes her home to Tex's beach house. It will take only two days for both of them to discover their love for each other and help Sofia with a scuzzy nursing home manager. A very short and sweet read.
