Ellie Stuart is finally getting a chance to make something of her life and her three boys, even though it's tough. She's juggling a job, college courses and motherhood but is thankful that Navy SEAL Sean Harlan continues to rent them one of his homes far below market. Sean continues to fight his feelings for Ellie; he's just not a commitment kind of guy. When he goes out of town for a weekend getaway to get her out of mind, her children are inexplicably abducted, leaving her shattered and strugg ...more

Loved it. Marliss Melton is one of my favorite writers of Romantic Suspense, and TOO FAR GONE is another winner! It's got a courageous, sexy, caring hero, a brave, no-nonsense heroine, lots of gripping suspense, some hot romantic scenes, heart-breaking moments, and a conclusion that brought tears to my eyes.

Ellie Stuart is a young, divorced mother of 3 young boys, determined to turn her life around after ridding herself of her loser, cheating, no-good husband. She rents a small cottage in Virgin

Navy SEAL Sean Harlan admires Ellie Stuart for moving forward with her life after she and her three boys are abandoned by her husband. Sean becomes her landlord, but he keeps their relationship as friends. He doesn't need a woman with kids in his life. But when two men pull Ellie out of her car and drive off with her three boys inside, Sean promises to help her get them back. The police are of little help, questioning whether Ellie is behind her children's disappearance. It looks like Ellie and ...more
My least favorite SEAL Team 12 book to date. The kidnapping plot didn't work well for me, and super-powerful secret organizations are a weak plot device in my opinion. Right down to the silly password phrase and griffin ring, the Centurions came off as more comic book than suspense thriller. The all-encompassing power of the group wasn't believable. I was sorry to see that the author intends to bring them back in future books.

I did care for the main characters, as well as Drake and Skylar. I'm

Wonderful series full of action, romance and suspense. The plot for Too Far Gone could have been ripped from the headlines, with a twist here and there. The character development and romance were both realistic and the plot was suspenseful with the good guys winning, but with a few loose ends.

Ellie is a single mother struggling to raise her three boys and get an education so she can give them a better life. Her dead bead ex has totally bailed on them and Ellie is all they have. She is making it
3.5 stars. After three fabulous books, this one was a little meh for me. I didn't connect with the characters and didn't feel any chemistry between the hero and heroine. It was okay, but the others have been better.

This was not one of my favorite's in the series but it was well written. I just didn't connect with the main characters and the "who kidnapped her kids" was a bit far fetched.

Sean is a Navy Seal who is renting out his house to Ellie and her three boys. Ellie has had a very hard life and had a horrible first marriage. Sean takes care of Ellie and her boys and he is like a surrogate father to her boys when he is around. He is attracted to Ellie but thinks he could never be with just one woman (in

Although I had some problems with points along the way and I had to ignore my mind asking questions. Once I ignored my internal monologue of questions, I did enjoy this story.

The scene where the kids are stolen from their mom was definitely riveting. You could really feel what kind of terror that would be. The concept of who is behind the kidnapping is really good and falls into modern day conspiracy theories of secret groups who control events behind the scenes.

The characters are well develope

I have loved the other books in this series. That said, I didn't enjoy this book at all. I couldn't get past Ellie having sex on her mind while her three young children were missing! If my children had been kidnapped and I had no idea who had them, I wouldn't be able to function let alone be initiating sex with a new partner! I found it unbelievable too that an undercover FBI agent would reveal his true identity to a new sex partner he barely knew because he was so overcome by desire. Pleeeeese!
The sixth addition to the SEAL Team 12 series. A wonderful suspenseful continuation of a great series. Definitely a mother's worst nightmare. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat until the conclusion. Has some really heart wrenching moments especially regarding the children. The romance itself lagged a little but that was understandable in light of the situation. There were appearances of several characters from previous stories and introductions to others that we would love to see m ...more

Ellie Stuart lives a crazy, hectic life. It’s not easy being a single mom raising three kids. You know how people are always warning you to avoid driving the back, county roads; well Ellie should have taken that advice. While she was driving one night along a back road, Ellie ends up being ambushed by a couple of men. The men pull Ellie from her car and take off with her three kids in the back sit.

Now Ellie needs her landlord’s help. Navy Seal Sean Harlan would like to start something with Elli

Too Far Gone is a sexy, emotionally-charged and downright enjoyable, suspenseful romance!”BCM

Is it too much to ask for a little bit of peace and quiet?

So my favorite of the series so far. I loved Sean, I loved Ellie and I loved them together. 4.85stars

Our SEAL of the week in this thrilling episode is Sean the good-time guy acting on that spark we saw in Don't Let Go with hard-luck Ellie. Independent Ellie's struggle raise her three sons in a better environment than either her past or theirs has seen has to fight to find who the mysterious people are that have kidnapped her sons. She hits all the right notes as a distraught & frazzled mothe

For some reason I have found Sean's denial that he doesn't date women with kids to be funny. From the moment that Ellie showed up he was always around and playing with her kids. So in a way I was glad to see all the crap that came Ellie's way, as it forced both of them to admit they cared for each other more than they wanted to admit.

I do have to say that I do think less of Sean for little getaway for sexcapades. At that point he knew he had a thing for Ellie and his trip into playland could on

Got to be kidding me, there was little time for romance because of all the action and subplots. Ellie, well, I liked her well enough except that she sounded way too desperate for Sean. I understood her desperation and was distraught for her children, but - it felt too convinient. I didn't like the fact he was intimate with another woman while Ellie was fighting for her three sons that night. Hell, Sean couldn't even 'help flirting a bit' with another woman during the storyline before he finally ...more

While this novel had a bit of romance in it, the main story was the kidnapping of a mother's three children. Ellie, a single mom, is on her way to drop off a paper at college when she is thrown out of her car and strangers drive off with her three boys. She turns to Sean, a Navy SEAL, who has feelings for her in order to find her children as the police and the FBI seem to be accusing her of killing her own children. Sean and Ellie search out Carl, the father of the boys who swears he has nothing ...more
I love this series. Marliss Melton creates intriguing stories that keep you interested and moving quickly through the pages.
The relationship between Ellie and Sean is hot and started building at the end of the last book. He has a soft spot for her three boys, but he doesn't want to settle down. He can't stop thinking about her, though. He does what he can to exercise her from his thoughts, but she remains. When her boys are kidnapped, he's right there for her. He cares about them almost as much

Book 6 in the Seal Team 12 series is Harlan and Ellie's story. A good story and nice romance that I I didn't expect to like. Harlan wasn't one of the team that I ached to read about especially after Solomon's story which left me kind of weary fo the series. But HArlan proved to much more likable then I expected and Ellie was a great strong character; a single mom struggling to raise 3 young sons and prove her independence at the same time. The suspense was there and I liked the introduction of t ...more

Too Far Gone held every element with equilibrum between suspense and romance. The writing is so wonderful and so visually stimulating that you'll see the story take on this realness as the characters and storyling come to life where you'll feel you are actually seeing it not reading it. This story is definitely an adrenaline pumping read where you will feel the emotions that the characters are feeling. Marliss definitely has this talent for drawing out her characters both leading and sub and her ...more

Yesssss! I did it! I finally ended this book. That was not bad, truthfully, but for some reason I found a bit boring and then I stopped reading some time ago. I finally decided to give it a chance again and I finished it!!!! Yeah!!!

The story about the kidnapping of three children seemed a bit strange to me. I couldn't find it so plausible and maybe this was the reason I cannot commit to this book.

Besides, the hero was not in my heart. Now I'm going to read the next one of this series and then pu

This book was a lot more suspense than it was romance. In fact, the romance seemed like almost an afterthought to the main plot. However, I will saw that the book was a page-turner. But you can find a lot of page turners. I picked up this book because Marliss Melton usually does such an awesome job as a romance author. That's the only reason why I knocked this book a star.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire story. At first I had a hard time following as it jumped from scene to scene, but once I got to know the characters I was fine with it. Like everyone else, I'd love to read more about what happens next. The epilogue was like the season finale if a series that's then canceled - we will never know what happened next! Despite that, there is definite resolution so I'm satisfied.

Still that horrible formatting where each paragraph in a new section is written in microscopic font. why???

I liked the main characters, but I hated the premise of the all-powerful corrupt secret society that reaches throughout all levels of government. It's just depressing, especially since most of them go undetected and unpunished. It really takes away from the happy ending.

Incredible. Too Far Gone was very well written. Marliss Melton leaves nothing out. Every small sub-plot is neatly tied up. This book was thrilling...with humor, friendship, affection, family loyalty and some really hot Navy SEALs. Couldn't put it down! Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Those who love Susanne Brockman will like Marliss Melton's SEALs. This one is a real page turner about every mother's worst nightmare. Her children are kidnapped and she is framed for it.

Very bood suspense action romance.
