Every now and then I just need a book to cleanse the angst and for whatever reason this book is one that has stuck in my mind and in my GoodReads feeds forever so I figured what the hell. Thankfully this book delivered all that I expected and a little bit more.

The characters were so human and their actions so understandable that I felt like I knew them from the get go. Neither of them played games or did anything stupid. And maybe it’s partially due to the new adult binge I have been on recentl

So....when is the next book coming out? I need it like NOW!

This was my first Donna Michaels romance and I AM SO GLAD I PICKED IT UP!!! Stone and Jovy were steaming up my kindle and I was LOVING IT! Donna knows how to write some saucy scenes and the attraction between Stone and Jovy was literally jumping off the pages. I was sucked in from the first chapter and I didn't want to put it down! This was one of those books that you want to forget everything else and hide in your closet and read until

Where to start?
For starters I’m in the minority here. I truly wish that it would be different but alas it isn’t. I know, I know we can’t like every book we read but sometimes you see why everyone else does and then you just don’t get why you don’t.
Stone Jackass Mitchum is ex-military turned cowboy is offering a safe haven for veterans who need a fresh start. A place to stay, to heal and to work with Foxtrot Construction. Stone, Brick, Vince & Cord founded Foxtrot together. After a

The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Bask in the sexy, snarky, flirty banter between two very unlikely people. Stone has his focus aimed in a direction that does not include the opposite sex. He has a job to do and having his libido engaged was not on the to do list for the day or the week. That was until Jovy.

I got to say that this was so much fun. The banter was fun. The antics were just that icing to send things over the top. There was more to Jovy than Stone could have every expected. There were other fun and very entertaining

This is the first novel I've read by this author as well as the start of a new wounded warrior series, and it gets a 4-star rating from this reader.

While I think some of the character names are truly strange (Jovy, Stone, Brick and Cord, for example), this is a very sexy, very intense read and yet it still manages to be a heartwarming, hopeful, sometimes funny and sometimes heartbreaking wounded warrior romance, and it was such an enjoyable read.

This is a very heartwarming read that really pulls the reader in with characters you will fall in love with as these men build a ranch for veteran’s getting them ready to go back in to the normal world after fighting and serving their country. Jovy is in Joyful for a challenge. She has to start a gluten free vegan café in a place filled with meat lovers and make it a success. If she pulls it off the family business is hers. It isn't an easy job, but Jovy is positive she can do it and there are a few great advantages of being in the Texan countryside. One of them is the men, they're both sexy and chivalrous. Jovy has to leave after a month and isn't planning on starting anything serious and Stone seems to be the perfect candidate to ma ...more

Stone, a former Army Ranger, is focused on his partnerships in Foxtrot Construction and At-Ease Ranch (love the names). Their purpose is to give returning veterans hope and a place to acclimate to being a civilian again.
It's also giving Stone something else to help combat the guilt he still feels over his friend, Leo's, attempted suicide last year. However, to help pay the bills he needs his new tenant to pay her rent, which she's insisting she's already done. Now Stone, instead of

One would think that the way Stone and Jovy met wouldn't lead to anything other than animosity towards one another and maybe at first the dislike was there but that changed in a blink of an eye when Jovy landed in Stones arms.

Love, love, love this series. I read In a Ranger's Arms which is the first book in The Men of at Ease Ranch series second but it didn't cause any problems with understanding either book.

I was amazed at how deep this book is...... not only a romance but a story of love & healing for a hurting soldier.

And Lula Belle is just so entertaining!

Donna Michaels is a new favorite author. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This story is a great mix of laughter and loving, and tragedy and hardship. It made me smile and sigh, and it made me want to take action to make the world a better place for so many veterans still suffering in different age groups, in different countries, and barely surviving.

In a Ranger’s Arms is a wonderful story and sets the stage for what I’m sure will be a highly successful new series by Donna Michaels.

Stone Mitchem was determined to save the family ranch and create a safe haven for returned soldiers to learn a skill and re-establish their worth and independence. With the help of his brother Brick and fellow Rangers, Cord and Vince, Stone believed his dream could become a reality. But money, freak storms and emotional obligations, have turned this selfless vent

I received a review copy.

I loved this book! It is what I call a “feel-good” book. Since I am a thriller/suspense reader, often my books are high-tension books with lots of action and serious issues. After a while, I find it nice to get an uplifting, happy book. This is a perfect one because it is not schmaltzy, and the hero and heroine are both independent and have great respect for each other.

St one and his brother, Brick Mitchum (I love those names), are former rangers. They, and two other ex-

In a Ranger's Arms is the first in a brand new series (The Men of At Ease Ranch) by new-to-me author Donna Michaels and WOW, was I impressed! Sexy, snarky and oh so sweet…

This story had me at “cowboy” but I stayed for the fun and feisty relationship that developed in this not quite ‘fish out of water’ romance. Cowboys are their own breed, aren’t they? Salt of the earth types that love their land, their families and, often, their cows.

Stone Mitchum could be the cowboy poster child with his sense of responsibility, natural leadership and his quiet, but strong way… not to mention his rock hard abs - they were scrumptious too! Jovy Larso

I really enjoyed this book for multiple reasons. First, who doesn’t love a book about strong, handsome Army Rangers, but mostly, because though it was the story about Stone and Jovy, it was a story about so much more.
First, to the main characters. Stone is a Former Army Ranger who is making it his vocation to help fellow Veterans not only enter once again the workplace back home, but also to help them emotionally by giving them a purpose. To this end, he, along with his brother Brick and 2 other

YES! This is Donna Michael’s best book yet! I love this author and this book is no exception. I am so in love with these characters. I cannot pick a favorite; okay that is a lie, my favorite is Lula Bell. I want a love sick cow in my life. I feel like I am missing out in life without her!
