Luca Marchese and Isabella Rinaldi were each other's first kiss, they were young and their families were friends and that first kiss had such a profound effect on both of them, both knowing they wanted the other.
Soon after the families severed ties and Izzie always kind of blamed Luca for his absence, I mean she knows it wasn't his fault any more than it was hers but she missed him.
Years later and at the start of this book their lives literally collide again when Izzi

If you love romance novels and stories about the Mafia, you will love this book! I'm the author of Corrupt Me. Of course, I rated my own book 5 stars! I had so much fun writing this novel. I hope you all enjoy reading Luca and Izzie's story as I much as I loved writing it. Reviewing my own novel is not that simple, so I thought I'd share with everyone my inspiration for this novel.

I hope that by the time you finish this book you can honestly say, "Luca Corrupted Me!"

What Inspired This Novel?

After reading the Vendetta trilogy written by Catherine Doyle, I’m deeply addicted to Mafia stories. Therefore, when I saw the synopsis of Corrupt Me, I was beyond excited to read this. However, I do have mixed feelings about this book and I’d like to explain them as much as I can.

To begin with, Izzie and Luca are classmates and also childhood friends, but with their different family backgrounds, they are doomed to be enemies for starters. Well, I think when you’re related to some sort of Mafia

Ugh, OK I did not like this book. It bored me, and I just couldn't connect with it.

Izzy was a strong female character? I guess she was, but I am not sure that I like her though. She was kind of superficial, and went on and on and on about herself, and her family. Trust me, I can remember details once I read, no need to mention it a hundred times in the book. Her family was rich, and powerful.

I get it.

Do I need a remainder in every chapter? And do you really want me to have pity for her?

"I'm not that bad, babe."

All I can say is I need a Luca Marchese in my life, seriously.

Izzie Rinaldi is so close to becoming the head of her families empire. Izzie isn't afraid to go after what she wants, until she bumps into Luca Marchese at school. Son of the most notorious man in Philadelphia and her first kiss. As Luca does everything in his power to make Izzie see that he's 'not that bad' she soon finds out that maybe they have more in common than she thought, and that maybe she might be ju

I love me a hot mafia type book and this one is a bit different than all of the others I have read. For one, the main characters are younger and still in college so it has a bit of the YA theme running though. Secondly, you have a young girl in charge of a crime family, so the situations are definitely reversed.

But along with this also comes the underlying YA theme. While not overrun with angst, yay, this story does have a lot of the YA flavor. Isabella is young and hard core. A bit mean and def

This book felt like it was two different books. The first half was more about the chase. Luca has never forgotten Isabella after his family cut ties with hers when they were young. They meet up again in college. Isabella realized right away that Luca was a playboy and avoided him. A literal run in with him in their senior year sparks Luca into actively pursuing her.

For the first half of the book, this what you get. Luca chased and Isabella waivering back and forth. I didn't particularly like th

This was a great book in every aspect!! It had a sexy, sweet & cocky hero and a kick ass heroine who didn't take any s**t from anyone!!!! Izzie was the perfect heroine, she was a total bad ass and had a backbone, she never let anyone see her sweat or bowed down to anyone, especially Luca!!! Izzies was what I love to see in books, not a weak bone in her body, I hate a weak heroine!!!

Izzie was expected to run her families company and felt trapped by rules, by her grandfather, by her legacy and es

Then, the blurb…

SOLD IT!!! Star-crossed lovers mix with a bit of Mafia? Oh yeah! I just wanted to sit down and absorb the pages.

But then I started reading and…

but I kept going.

NO! I think the blurb lied to me.

I felt disconnected from the story and from the characters throughout the whole book. The writing was a little rushed which didn't help the story at all.

The execution of the plot and the lack of emotional connection between the main

WOW....Is all I can say of this book by Jillian Quinn. Talk about a role reversal is all I say and I enjoyed every page of it. Izzie is a strong woman who is loyal to her grandfather and his business and then there's Luca who is also into some shady business but who also desires to break free from his father's business to be his own man. Izzie and Luca have known each other since childhood but had to break ties early on due to their families. They meet up again in school by literally bumping int ...more

Jillian sent me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly tell you that I Loved this book!

Luca and Izzie have totally corrupted me. I love to read romance books but I don’t normally read romance books like this and I’m so happy I did. I’m used to the good girl falling for the bad boy who deep down is really a good guy “Corrupt Me” is not that kind of book.

Izzie Rinaldi is a college senior & is hire apparent to the most powerful company in Philadelphia. She plans to go to law school before taking over the company for her Grandfather. Luca Marchese is the youngest son of the Philadelphia area mob boss & lives a charmed life as he enters his senior year of college. He is a very popular, good-looking young man who is used to getting what he wants. After Izzie literally knocks Luca over, neither of them can get the other off their minds. They aren't s ...more

I just cannot finish.

Izzie...I cannot get past her. She boarders on crazy and is totally unlikable. She is just plan mean to everyone and Luca is the sweetest and she just continually trashes him. She is the rich uppity person that she judges others to be. I know I requested to read this, but I just cannot finish.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

My family had a suffocating effect on me, all the pressure of their lies and success weighing me down. Like a bird set free from a cage, for one day, I felt the air breathing back into my lungs. And Luca had had a hand in that.

Luca and Izzie have known each other since they were kids, even shared their first kiss together, but when their families severe ties they no longer get to see each other. Now they are both in the same college, with Izzie trying to enjoy her last year of freedom before

I have to start by talking about the characters here, as much as I loved the plot they were my favorite aspect. Izzie is such a bad ass, I want to be her. Yes, she’s gorgeous but that’s not why I envy her, she’s also strong, confident, bold and she doesn’t take shit from anyone. She may be young but she doesn’t scare easily and her loyalty is admirable. If Izzie loves you, she considers you family and she will do anything to protect the ones s

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. This is the first book I have read by Jillian Quinn and I loved it. I can't wait to read more. There is still an attraction between them after all these years and they can't resist exploring even thought Izzie really tried to. There are a lot of obstacles in their way, (family ...more

I don't know how to feel about this one. It was interesting and fun but somehow it got repetitive. I don't know!

I really did enjoy it though. I love the love and hate relationship between Luca and Izzy but the sexual tension between them and the actual love story took so long and i was having a hard time keeping up with the story between the issues with their family and why they can't be together.

It was good, but I felt like too much was going on. Realistically, it wouldn't happen like that.

My thanks to Jillian, Netgalley and Penn Publishing for allowing me to read&review the ARC of Corrupt Me.

When I do occasionally read and review a romance novel I can be a bit moany. The spineless women always in the clutches of arrogant, rich assholes… come on, who enjoys the constant ‘damsel in distress with wet panties’ all the time? I don’t. I had high hopes for Jillian’s characters and I knew she could deliver!

Ok so this book is not typically a genre I would read, but I always say it's good to branch out. I'm so freakin glad I did! This book is HOT, and not in a corny way, but in an absolutely honest way. The characters are uncensored and I love that about them.

I LOVE strong female characters, and Isabella Rinaldi definitely fits the bill. She is smart, intelligent and knows where she comes from. She's not perfect, which I also love, especially when every book I read at the moment has 100% perfect MC

As you can see from my rating above, I really loved the story of Izzie and Luca! I loved it so much that I’m constantly bothering Jill about her next books because I just need more!

The story is told in alternative views, switching between Isabella Rinaldi and Luca Marchese. I really loved being able to get inside of Luca’s head. I don’t know what it is about getting inside the head of male, but I’m always won over with this!

This book was amazing! Luca Marchese is my new book boyfriend. If you're desperate for a new book boyfriend, look no further because Luca will steal your heart. At first, he seems like the typical cocky, arrogant, womanizer we've all grown to love in NA novels, but Luca is so much more and even more complex of a character than I ever expected. He's the son of a Mafia boss, struggling with his responsibility to his family and the life he wants for himself. His character is not without his flaws, ...more

I've been finding it difficult to begin my review and that tells me one thing - Corrupt Me is going to be one of my "happy books." When I am feeling down or really stressed, I have a few movies, television show episodes, and books that I can turn to that help me get through most funks I might experience.

Corrupt Me was a smooth, calming read that allowed me to imagine each scene and circumstance in my imagination creating my own mental movie. I became completely lost in the story and in the beau

Corrupt Me is my first Jillian Quinn book. The description pulled me in right away. I was not disappointed with this story. It's told in dual points of view. It's a mafia story with not a lot of violence or graphic descriptions. If you want the love story of two people from rivalry families, this is it. Corrupt Me was a one sitting book for me. I could not stop reading from the moment I opened my book.

I love that this book is not all just about how Izzie is a weak woman who is corrupted by a man. But it is about how Izzie is a smart, strong woman who will do anything for those that she loves and she doesn't NEED a man but chooses one. Luca is just a man who was born into a family that he doesn't feel that he fits into and so he chooses to change his path and be different. This is a mafia romance and is thoroughly enjoyable and has some very sexy scenes!! ...more

Corrupt Me is the first book in the Philly Corruption Series.

Izzie Rinaldi is a strong female character. She was a no nonsense kind of girl who is about to take over for her grandfather as the head of her company. I love how she had a backbone and didn’t put up with Luca. She put him in his place like no other.

At first Luca Marchese seems like the typical cocky, arrogant, womanizer but he is so much more. He is the son of a Mafia boss who is struggling with his responsibility to his family and
