Rouge has survived the last months of school and is starting a new chapter after graduation. She wants answers to the questions about her past and is still hiding secrets from those she loves.
Her hope is to find what she needs in Niagara Falls so she can move forward in her relationship with Michael and have a chance to convince his family that she is worthy of him.
The ancient Grollic Book reveals another of its secrets, only to Rouge. She desperately wants to find the truth about her past. Nothing could have prepared her for what she's about to learn.
Compelled

Can she find answers in the ancient journal she carries, or is she opening Pandora’s box?

Rob’s missing. Rouge’s passed out. Caleb just told her that Rob’s been taken away to be put down.
Oh yeah, and Rouge’s pregnant.
Wait, what?!
Rouge’s the Seventh Mark, Michael’s a guardian who’s already dead. How can he get her pregnant? The high and mighty Caleb is even more determined now to stop Rouge and the abomination growing in her belly.
On the run from Caleb and the Higher Council, on a mission to save Rob, and at the same time trying to stop the dark angel Rouge summoned – the team must figure out what the Power of Three is before Bentos kills them all.
However, there’s a catch: if they go after the dark angel and kill it, anyone with angel blood in them will die. If they kill Bentos, there is rumor that all his offspring will die except the next Seventh Mark.
Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.
The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.
There was a war going on that we humans knew nothing about- a century's old war between werewolves and... Hollywood would call it a war between werewolves and vampires."
3.5 stars. I'm no writer, editor or publisher, and I don't claim to be. That being said, I could actually see this author's writing getting progressively better throughout this series. I wish she could go back and just totally rewrite books 1 and 2. I wrote individual reviews for those books listing my issues with them, however I praised the storyline and plot.
The story focuses on Rouge and Michael, but my favorite characters were Grace (Michael's vampire/Nephilim twin sister) and Rob (Rouge's werewolf/Grollic older brother).
"I did what I was told... it's rare and never works out." Rob lifted his hands in the air."
This series touches a lot on family and sacrifice. How far would you go for someone you loved? How many sacrifices have people made for you just for you to be where you are?
And one thing that I LOVE about this series, is the main heroine Rouge. She is not whiny, spoiled, or ungrateful like so many heroines in other YA series. I admire her a lot and it really helped me want to overlook the editing flaws in these books.
"He moved up beside me and glanced down at me. "Thank you." "For?" I left all emotion out of my voice, deciding it was time to start acting like the woman I was and not the child I wanted to be."
Overall a good read. Plenty of excitement and mystical lore. Focuses on themes of good and evil, family, forgiveness.
I loved the storyline. It was complex and even though at times it felt like just another supernatural book it would make up for it with plot twists. There are a lot of typos and areas where it seems the author lost track of places and people and mixed them up. It also feels to be an “American” book but written with some language that refers more to the UK, which is fine but there is very little detail about places and the words are not what someone born and raised in the USA would use or the vocabulary what they would speak. Even with these difficulties, I loved the storyline and the main characters. There is a bit of character development and they seem to grow with each lesson learned. I will recommend to others.
Four friends two of which are hybrid and one with lots of power to fight evil....
Come join the adventures and trials of four young warriors - Grace and Michael are children of angels and Hunters while Rouge and Rob are hybrid of angels and werewolves. Rouge has a special power of being able to do magic too. Can these four defeat the greatest evil there is and save the innocents in the process.
A series full of adventure, good vs evil, angels, werewolves, trust and lov, as well as these four growing into themselves and their destinies.
These books were so good and I'm so happy I found them! It has a little bit of everything in it. Wolves of sorts, angels, magic and so much more. It could use another editing as there were a lot of mistakes throughout, but don't let that ever you from this series. It got better as the books went on and I loved them nonetheless.
Loved the series, the suspense and thill, but the ending being over in a few pages left a little to be desired. Won't deter me from reading others series by this author, but felt this one could have brought more meaning at the end to all the tribulations the characters went though.
It doesn't matter if you're team Grace & Michael or the new kids on the block Jamie & Rebekah, someone is always going to be on the run. They all have a higher calling to defend the world against evil. It's unfortunate that when this young you only see or hear what you truly want. A good read with twist and turns around every corner .
A great paranormal read about hunters (Decendants of Angels) and Grollics (a version of Werewolves) for the young adult and older. This is a complete box set. I thoroughly enjoyed Rouge and Michael's story. It was well-written with characters to fall in love with.
W.J. May is incredible! An Author so prolific keeps the adrenalin high all the time. I just finished the boxed set and the start stories about the 18 year old twins of Michael and rouge. It was on fire from start to finish!
I have read this book series at least 6 times. It was the first YA romantasy series I ever read and I loved it! It’s such a great introduction to more mature romance and fantasy books. I still go back to it from time to time and it just never gets old, Still one of my favourite series. Rouge is a fantastic main character and Michael is a brilliant love interest. The sorry takes all the twists and turns that you hope it does and keeps you glued to the page the whole way through. It’s rare to find a series that really grabs your interest right the way through and for me this book has always been able to do that. No matter how many times I read it.
