Sarquis’ portraits changed everything. James Thomas has the identity of the man hunting him, but there’s one problem…
James can’t kill him until he has the code that will save Mak Ashwood’s life. And the man hunting him is the only one with the code.

James must take him alive, but he can’t do that without resources. Resources he doesn’t currently have.

James will do anything to protect those he loves, and that includes making a deal with Europe’s most feared and violent man. The same man that wants to kidnap and torture James’ girlfriend. A man known as Alexandr Biskup.

The risks are grave. The deal will create a powerful alliance, but the clock is ticking: if James fails, he and everyone he loves will die.

Lucian is the superb fourth book in the James Thomas Series by Brooke Sivendra.!!! The story is an intense romantic suspense with excitement, delusions, a code, deception, secrets, action, adventure, mystery, car chases, betrayal, obsession, manipulation, complications, time factors, risks, interrogation, set ups, loyalty, family, shoot outs, drama, danger, threats, chemistry, passion, intrigue, tension, humour, twists, discoveries, violence, cross-continental travel, evil organisations, mind games, palpable suspense, loyalty, and camaraderie.
WOW, things are heating up in more ways than one! This story really threw in a few massive twists and turns that I certainly didn’t see coming! After the events in the previous book/s, things don’t get a chance to settle down- as a deadly game of cat and mouse now ensues. I loved that we got so much more of James and Deacon’s backstories. And we finally begin to get some answers as to why he’s being hunted. I also applaud Ms. Sivendra for her attention to detail, even creating a religion, language, customs, and culture, for the cult members. Genius!!
The only thing I noticed was that the events in chapter 20 really should have been slotted in-between chapters 23 and 24, because the timeline is out of sink otherwise.
I am in awe of all the intricately connected details, and the level of tension and suspense infused into the storyline, with all the many and varied clever touches Ms. Sivendra managed to weave into this multi-layered storyline. It is a true testament to her writing prowess!
Recap:
This is such a fantastic story. I am really having trouble finding the words to do this book/series the justice it deserves. The characters are beyond perfect. They are complex, fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws. They had me completely invested in them and the outcome of their story from word go. I was eagerly and quite anxiously following along as the story unfolded. I spent a lot of the time on the edge of my seat, my heart pounding through all the adrenaline inducing action and jaw dropping revelations. Completely riveted by the story, I wouldn’t put it down and read it all in one sitting.
This series is one continuing story, so you really should read the previous book/s before starting on this one- as there is important information, storyline, and character introductions which you should know in order to fully appreciate this book! The best thing is that all the books in this fantastic series are available right now…. YAY!!!!! So there is no waiting between books! #WINNING
This is so well woven, with a massive amount of clever plotting and intricate layering. I am so impressed with Ms. Sivendra’s masterful storytelling talents. She may not realise it, yet 😉 but she’s just gained an avid stalker, um I mean fan, yes, an avid fan!
You know when you read a book that is sooo good it completely captures you- sweeping you off your feet, consuming you in a way where reality is suspended and all you can think about is the story? A story that is so great you can’t stop at just one book- you need to hunt down the entire series to devour, because you’ve developed a serious addiction and need your next fix, STAT? Where you become so consumed by the addiction, you then proceed to stalk the author, and chasing down every book she’s ever written, caught in a one-clicking frenzy- only to end up on a book-binge of epic proportions, hoping like hell she’s got more books in the works because you’ll never tire of her stories- ever? Well Ms. Sivendra is one of those authors- her books are completely and irreversibly addictive. I should have a massive book-binging hangover, but I don’t! Because I loved every second of every mind-blowing minute I spent between her pages 😉. I really couldn’t get enough, and let’s face it at this stage I’d read her shopping list, just to get a ‘fix’ 😊
Highly recommended reading. Really, it’s a MUST READ, and should be on everybody’s TBR!!!

Kudos! And thank you, Ms. Sivendra!

The twist and tangles of this series has the reader sitting on the edge of their seats. We are first introduced to Mak and James in the most unusual circumstances and as the series progresses we learn a little about their secrets and abilities until book four....Lucian. Oh my goodness this book continues and ramps up the story. Brooke's fine writing makes for a page turning yarn that one just cannot put down. Absolutely can't wait to find out where this story leads us.......Wonderful book, brilliant series

Incredible and crazy-impossible to see coming twists? Check.
Heart racing-pulse spiking-can't breathe situations? Check.
Steamy chemistry between lovers? Double Check.
The fourth book of this series is everything! A huge surprise pops up in this book that I was in no way expecting, anticipating, or even imagining!!! When I got to a certain chapter...I had to read, and then again, and then re-read one more time that this particular addition was being made!! I won't spoil it for you....but sheesh! I don't think I took a breath through the entire chapter!!! Ladies, and possibly gents...you do not want to miss this series at all. Brooke does and amazing job of building so much action and suspense, and it just escalates quickly with each book that passes! This review will be another short one, because, ya know, the fifth and final book is staring at me from my kindle and I just....gotta....go......

Deals have been made with devils and everything is coming to a head. With every bodies life hanging in the balance, can Mak and James keep their love protected?

This story is written with a lot of realism. Bullet wounds don't miraculously heal. Every relationship is built and felt. Every fight they make to saving Mak's life, is a battle.

What will happen in the conclusion of book five, only weeks away from release? A nail biting, cliffee crazy and addictive story.

If you haven't started this series, then think again. Don't miss this epically hot and hair raising thriller/romance.

Squally out!

Lucian (James Thomas #4) by Brooke Sivendra is the enthralling fourth book in the James Thomas Series and is the gift that just keeps on giving. This series must be read in order as each story continues straight of the end of the other. Brooke’s word smithing and style makes this an out of this world ride as we follow the Thomas Security team as they try to capture the evil men who will stop at nothing to get what they want. The usual danger and drama, threats and violence, secrets and action, planning and chases, betrayal and lies intensifies. I continue to sit on the edge of my seat as I read page after page of goodness and soaking up each and every word that Brooke so effortlessly strings together to give us an amazing ride. It is not just a story it is so much more it is an experience, it is an obsession, it is an adventure, it is just sooooo, much more.

James and the team continue to plan and plot ways to get to the very men that are causing them no end of trouble but they are also causing violence to others without any though but themselves. James knows he need to put an end to them but time is running out. As things heat up and become more intense so does the pressure and more lies and secrets are being revealed. Just when they think things are going their way, boom they find themselves facing something totally new.

I am not sure my poor heart can take much more that is how good these books are. I have upped my smoking because I just can’t put the book down. Sleep? It’s over rated when you need to follow this amazing stories. I cannot give these stories enough justice with my words alone.

I am about to delve into the fifth and final book to this series. I can’t wait, in fact I am not going to wait. See you all in my review of Sorin book 5.

>Book review – Lucian
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 4th book in the James Thomas series and ends in a cliffhanger. This part of the story deals with everyone realizing that Eric is alive and part of a weird cult. Why Eric actually married Mak is still unclear. James and Deacon spend a lot of time fighting to get to Eric, while trying to protect Mak. There isn’t a lot of James/Mak couple action, but the action still makes this book worth reading. From the first page, my heart started pumping and never stopped.
>James has to deal with some very sketchy individuals to work his plan to get to Eric. The danger her puts himself in seems extreme, but not in comparison to the danger Eric poses. More is discussed about Eric, his life and his new cult following. All of Mak’s questions start to get annoying, but I think her questions highlight how in the dark she is kept.
> This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. For the 4th book in a series the action is still non-stop.

Deep Crazy Secrets

Oh. My. Gosh! Getting the next book asap!! This series is SO ADDICTING! You just can't help but want to know what's next. And I definitely want to know what's next!! My mind travels all over the place. I can understand the feelings of betrayal at times from Mak's character. It scares me to think how crazy things could be in a secret society. Secrets run deep. Crazy runs deeper. Brooke Sivendra is masterful at keeping you guessing, leaving you wanting more information, pulling for the "good guys" even though they may not be exactly good... I'm actually gonna be quite sad when I finish the series. The characters are complicated to say the least. But LOVE has entered and we all know love is stronger than anything :-) CanNOT wait to get started on the next book and see how she wraps all this up or if it opens up another series.

Usually I try to write a summary before I give my opinion. But the book is action packed and kind of hard to give a simple summary. This book is part of a series and I felt like I had walked into something and wasn't fully aware of what was going on. I do suggest reading the other books first. Some stuff was explained but other stuff was just hinted at. I think if I had read the other books beforehand I would have given it a higher rating.
It was a little slow for me to get into at first but by the time it ended I really wanted to know what was going on. And now I have to find the next book because this one ended on a cliff hanger.
I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review. The opinions in this review are 100% my own.

I really don't want this to end

Has this series sucked me in! Especially since I read this in one day!
This book had it all...action, suspense, creepy cult things, sexy time and more clues into James and Deacon's past. I love all these characters and you really feel close to them. I get the stomach pings when something happens to them! It's so intriguing and damn, do I love the sweet progression of James and Mak's love affair. They are so consumed with each other, you want them to have that perfect life together. And James is fighting for it, which I look forward to reading more about.

The saga continues to race along at an increasing tempo from book 3 (which I missed) but nevertheless I managed to grasped what took place in book 3 and in turn enjoyed this book. Its another edge of your-seat" story that ends with a cliffhanger into book 5. James and Mak relationship is HOTand theres quite a bit of violence in the torture. Definitely recommend, but please read the series in order for maximum enjoyment (trust me I didn't and I regret it. I will however at a later date reread the entire series in order)

I was hooked on this series from the first book. Now I am not sure how to rate this book. In this fourth book, the suspense has increased but also the brutal violence and steamy sex has increased. This is not a typical read for me. Due to the increasing suspense, the relationship between James and Makaela are just brief encounters. I will continue reading this series because I do want to see how James is going to stop the threat to Makaela and himself. Due to this, I am giving this book four stars. I am hooked. I received a free copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review.

Brooke Sivendra's James Thomas saga just keeps getting better and better. When I thought James's intense missions in protecting Mak and keeping his own identity safe were already nail-biting, book #4 just took it to another level. Absolutely addictive, spellbinding-drama at its finest. Lucian is the most intriguing one yet and the revelations in this book were shocking. Can't wait to read the conclusion, book #5, SORIN

Lucian is the 4th book in the James Thomas series. And it ended in a way that makes me eager to know what happens next. Eric, Mak's missing husband has kidnapped her sister, Maya, and wants to trade her for Mak and her boyfriend, James, not knowing that James is the same person as Liam Smith that he's been looking for. Wow! This gets more interesting. "I received this book from eBook discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review".
