Whatever force made Lucky, either God or the Universe, wrapped him so tightly around my heart that sometimes I’m suffocating. Biologically, we are made of too many similar parts, yet our chemistry is like a meteor shower, raining bright sparks of light into the dark night. But it’s not our biology or chemistry that worries me the most, it’s the physics of our love that goe ...more

I am just utterly speechless.

MY LIFE IS COMPLETE !!! Please read Maldeamores (Book #1) before reading this story.

Y'all don't know how much I needed this book after Maldeamores!! Book 1 ended on a cliffhanger that was 100% painful and then came Book 2 which saved my life!! There are some past instances repeated from Maldeamores but it takes on a completely different view.

The book oscillated between two time frames - the past and the present. You get to see Lucky and Belen's struggles coming to terms with their love througho

If you read my review of Maldeamores you know I loved that book. It was intense, extremely passionate and unique. So naturally I was excited to read Malentendido, but this book ruined it for me. Sometimes author's need to recognize when a story is perfect the way it is, and let it be. At the end of the first book I was both devastated and in awe of Luciano and Belen's story. I felt every single emotion those two were experiencing with every fiber of my body. What happened in this sec

It’s loves like yours and mine that break down boundaries, make people question what’s right and wrong, make them look a little deeper into their own beliefs and prejudices.

This book was so perfect. Perfectly messed up, perfectly painful, perfectly right and perfectly wrong all at once. After having my heart so exquisitely demolished in Maldeamores, I had no idea where Mara White would take these characters, where she'd be taking ME. I know she's not an author that hands readers a garden var

“What happened to us wasn’t a curse, or even bad luck. It was the road we had to take to consecrate our love.”

3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book/sequel just didn't do it for me like the first one. I'm not saying it's not good, but compared to the first book it's kinda dull.

Almost everything is reminiscing of the past, a few parts of what's happening in present. And the only thing that saved this book from three stars is the ending, and I was like FINALLY!!!

This part kinda tainted Lucky and Belen's love an

Malentendido. *sigh* There are no words. I've never read anything like this. How can Mara White be able to write about something so taboo, something that will definitely be shunned and frowned upon in society, and make it into something so beautiful?! This book is literally a work of art. The trials and tribulations this couple goes through, to fight their burning attraction for each other, it's a tes

Bey’s kiss wasn’t my first, but it was the only one that mattered.

Totally and utterly addictive, this duet blew me away. You must read book one (Maldeamores) first because this is the continuation of Lucky and Bey's story. To say that the first book ended on a cliffhanger is a slight understatement, but book two flawlessly flows right into the next chapters in the Lucky and Bey's lives.

Mara White is a master at writing taboo romance. She draws you into the main characters' hearts and minds a

Mara, Mara, Mara! What do you do to me?

You write with this beautiful style that sucks me right in. I'm there up against the fridge, on the roof, heart breaking in a locked room. You manipulate my heart making it beat fast and then just stop. It stops because it is stunned.

No spoiler because you have to have to have to read Maldeamores before Malentendido, if you didn't read it bugger right off and read it now. It is a matter of time until she finds out. I was dreading it and excited for it. Eag

An unconventional love story which is probably one of the most beautifully written of its kind, Maldeamores and Malentendido by Mara White were an initially uncomfortable reading journey for me, yet I must tell you that it became AMAZING as I progressed. I have read several taboos in my life but nothing about an H and h who really are introduced as blood related. I knew what I signed up for when I read the blurb on the ARC form. I knew what I was reading was about first degree cousins, but what ...more

The moment I finished Maldeamores (Lovesick) I immediately wanted to jump right into this story because I needed to find out if these two lost and broken should finally got their happily ever after, especially after reading that epilogue. Luckily while most readers had to wait patiently (or not so patiently) for the next book, I didn't discover this forbidden romance until the release of Malentendido (Misunderstood). Let me just say how grateful

5 stars! This sequel healed my heart<3

Eeeeeeekkkk! I have no words to express my gratitude to Mara White for giving us more Lucky and Belen! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

If you read Maldeamores over two years ago like I did, then you can totally relate to my suffering. The ending gutted me and I was one of the readers that kept bugging and asking the author if we would get a sequel and she kept saying "no". So can you imagine my reaction when she finally gave us hints of a possible sequel?!

I never thought I'd see the day when my favorite couple from the Heights would actually have their happy ending - but I just did! This review may contain spoilers, you should read “Maldeamores“ first.
Until almost completely to the end, I didn't even think that they would get a happy ending at all. Whereas I treasured every word Mara White wrote, I was a bit concerened about the fact, that she included more past chapters than present ones and time was running out. So, in the end everything got a

Make sure you read Maldeamores book one before you read this story as it's the continuation of Lucky and Belens story.

We are told this story in the past and present tense through two points of view. Although I loved book one I enjoyed this even more as I felt I was holding my breath way too much.

This truly is a fantastic duet. I highly recommend you give it a go.

This is the second book and conclusion in the Maldeamores duet.
I absolutely loved the first book and felt every ounce of sorrow, love, indecision, and angst. And with the ending of the first book, I was so geared up for the second. However, something was missing in this book. Some of the fire died down and I was left with ash.
For me, I felt that some of the Past POV from both Belen and Luciano were repetitive and unnecessary. I also wasn't sure how some of the scenes with Yaritza were relevant

This is one of the BEST very very BEST romance series I've ever read. And don't take it likely when I say that, because I read over 200 books last year. I swear I fall in love every single with some of the most wonderful characters ever written but this book, this series STOLE MY HEART AWAY.

Mara White writes with a passion I've never experienced, parts of her writing feel like pure poetry, while other parts of her writing feel as honest and unpolished as her characters. And I mean that in the ve

I feel so lucky to have received an ARC of this book. To be honest I really haven't stopped thinking of these characters since I finished Maldeamores which is the first book. This story is one of a kind and one I will not forget. Gosh the feels in this story are all consuming! I felt like I was going through what these characters did from the massive guilt, sadness and longing. This author makes you feel so many things and as much as your heart aches it will also mend and

While this is a Standalone it’s the continuation, and conclusion, of Maldeamores (Lovesick). Not to worry, there’s a page with the entire Cast of Characters so you can see who everyone is, in case you didn’t read Maldeamores. I was such a huge fan of it and I loved this one even more! Why did I read this? I must be a glutton for punishment. Or maybe I just saw all the glowing reviews and thought this would be something different than it is. I'm confused. Maybe I read a different book, because I honestly can't find one good thing to say about it.
I feel like the author wrote this one because all the pressure from readers asking for a HEA after the previous book. But 80% of the content in this book are flashbacks to the past which we already read in the previous book, and do ab

I enjoyed this so much so it kills me to rate it 3 stars. I just didn't like the Yaritza scenes. I wanted Belen and Luciano. I wanted to feel their love (which I did) and hurt for them (which happened) and hope they have their HEA. I'm so happy with how their story turned out. But Yaritza (and one other scene I'll talk about) dropped this from a 4 to a 3.

This is between Yaritza and Luciano. (view spoiler)

I fell hard for both Luciano and Belen and their tumultuous and very complicated love story in Maldeamores. And now with Malentendido, Mara White continues their quest to find the peace they only feel with each other but never really knowing if it is still within their grasp.

Wow. I am somewhat worn out. I feel as battle weary as Lucky and his Bey feel. These two have gone to hell and back for each other and with the past and present laid out ever so carefully within the pages of this book, I was

Luciano and Belen love story is forbidden in every sense of the word. Despite this through the way the author lays out everything from their eyes on how they fell in love is beyond control. These two gravitate and revolve around each other. In Malentendido the consequences of the separation is heartbreaking and draining of your soul.
