A truly foundational work that has spawned many imitators and adaptations for other instruments. The study of this book, simply put, will help you develop a beautiful and consistent tone through all registers via variety of exercises. Many more woodwind players besides flutists should be aware of this!

It was interesting. I'll have to ask my teacher about a few things Mr. Moyse says. The exercises are much like the other tone exercises I've got from various sources (probably because they were taken from this book).

This book really helped my flute playing. One of my teachers used it for our lessons. It’s slow and tedious at times, but the reward is a beautiful flute tone.
