I'm a big fan of Rachel Goldstein's drawing books. I have purchased most of them for my grandchildren. They love them. However, How to Draw Cool Things, Optical Illusions, 3D Letters, Cartoons and Stuff is a book I purchased for myself. I just recently passed it on to my granddaughter. It is loaded with optical illusions and 3D drawings. I love to see the 3D drawings that people put on social media sites. Now I can do some of them myself. Ms. Goldstein clearly shows step by step, illustrated instructions for each project, making it easy for a novice to produce very nice drawings.
I highly recommend this book to anyone, not just children, that want to draw some cool stuff without having to learn drawing principles. Just follow along with Ms. Goldstein's steps and you'll have a great drawing that you'll be proud of.

Granddaughters and I had GREAT fun!

This is such a fantastically fun drawing book. I opened it as soon as I downloaded it and read right through it because I was fascinated to see how the effects were done. The IMPOSSIBLE shapes make you feel so clever when you complete them. I couldn't wait for my granddaughters to visit so that we could do the drawings together. So impressed that I am buying each of them a copy. They want to impress their friends.

Very easy to follow neat drawing tricks, highly recommend.

I am not a draw-talented person but I still like to dabble, especially in illusion-y fare...this book satisfied my urge. I finally drew a recognizable celtic knot!

Draw Optical Illusions

Nice simple, yet clear, step by step instructions. Good for anyone just starting to draw. Wish there were more examples, but really good for what it is.
