I like the creative play on Santa's story. It was interesting to get the author's perspective. Nick was definitely not the jolly fat old man we know Santa to be. He was a sexy, alpha, tattooed badass. On his quest for revenge he falls in love with Joy. I liked her perspective. The story was very sexy but it felt underdeveloped. We went from 0 to love in no time. There were a few references to elements that didn't feel intuitive to me as a new reader to the series. Other than that, the plot was ok and the execution done with good writing. Safety: No others after they get together. No rape or abuse though the h seems to have a past history of abuse if I'm understanding correctly.

Nick is the original Santa but after Jack Frost killed his wife, all his time has been spent tracking Jack down so he can get his revenge. Nick's family has taken over the cheery Santa duties and Nick now works for PPA (Paranormal Protection Agency), where he can put his other abilities to work. So when his next job comes through and Jack Frost's daughter is the woman he has to keep safe, he plans on using her to lure Jack out of hiding...until he starts having feelings for Joy.
Joy just got out of a bad marriage when her crime boss husband died and is on the run from her husband's people because if they find her she's not sure what they will do. Joy is now the head of her Pixie clan but she'll have to prove that she can stay on top since other Pixies want the top spot and aren't wanting to have a female boss, so they aren't going to make it easy for her.
Nick had been hired to keep Joy safe but she wasn't helpless and had defenses because of who her dad was. When Jack Frost does finally show himself to his daughter, Nick is furious and there's a huge fight between them. Once Joy realizes that Nick used her as bait to get to her father, she leaves with her father.
Now for what I didn't like about this book. Jack Frost didn't have anything to do with his daughter because he knew Nick blamed him for Mrs. Claus freezing to death but it was an accident that Jack had nothing to do with. So when Joy forgives Nick and they get back together, it just made no sense to me. She spent her entire life being treated badly and sold into a marriage that she hated all because her father couldn't show his face around her because he knew Nick would try to kill him or his daughter if he did. The story and the secondary characters like Rudolph and the other reindeers being shifters was fun but there were too many things that bothered me about this story for me to like Joy and Nick's relationship. Santa was a jerk and that didn't sit well with me.

As always this is a naughty hot series. Read every one. This was a very enjoyable read! It was a little different than the others...darker a little bit. Nick...the REAL Santa Clause has revenge on the mind. He's been searching for his wife's killer, Jack Frost. He's angry and an agent at the Paranormal Protection Agency and he's good at what he does. He's not actively been Santa for a long time. He gets the chance of a lifetime to find Frost. In the form of his daughter Joy who herself is in a lot of danger. Her Warlord husband died and he was not a good guy. There is a price on her head but she wants to turn things around where her dead husband went wrong. Not everyone wants this to happen. Oh my! Bad Santa is so naughty but oh so good! No lumps of coal in this stocking! I adore Mina Carter's writing and have been a diehard fan for several years. She always brings her A-Game and this story is another perfect example of her talent, skill and extraordinary imagination. Bad Santa is the thirteenth release in Carter's captivating Paranormal Protection Agency Series which has always been one of my favorites. Just when I think she couldn't possibly have any surprises left in her supernatural bag of tricks, she waves her super secret writer's wand (which strangely doubles as a pen or laptop) and gives her readers another magical delight! I've come to expect a lot from Mina Carter and she ALWAYS delivers. Bad Santa is well edited and beautifully written in the third person with alternating his and her perspectives. The dialogue is smart, sassy, well executed and flows effortlessly. Yes, the covers are all beautiful and the stories exciting, well crafted, seductive and romantic but it's the characters that steal my heart every single time. They are strong, captivating, engaging, endearing, larger than life, at times totally hilarious and always sexy as sin with hot handsome alpha males and beautiful plucky heroines. They literally explode from the pages, grab your imagination and capture your heart. I never tire of the wonderful characters and worlds Carter creates for her readers. She skillfully combines every single one of these elements to craft a perfect paranormal tale filled to the brim with heart-pounding drama, heart-stopping danger, agonizing angst, heartwarming romance and a generous measure of steamy, dreamy sex. Hey, this is a Mina Carter story we're talking about and we all know she's the queen of one-liners and hot rockin' sex. I love it! So buckle up my lovelies and prepare yourself for another wild ride! OK now this is just to cute, shorty but a goody. I love the way Ms. Mina's mind works. This lady's imagination is just extraordinary I sware, her characters have such sex appeal it's just breathtaking. I definitely recommend this book and Merry Christmas or Happy Celebration that you do.

What a amazing book about Santa Claus and Jack Frost. It's filled with love, strength, and fighting for something you never thought you could have. The story will give you another take on how the Santa and his sleigh get presents to the kids ! Nick is helping to save the widow of a pixie warlord, but she has a secret that she is more than he thinks. This is a short great holiday story for your heart! Its full of Christmas , romance and also the beauty of discovering love where you never expected it. This will definitely be one of my favorites. I like reading Mina Carter paranormal romances. Her characters are sexy, intriguing and fascinating.
Overall this story isn't about your usual Santa Clause. I think more mommies would want to sit on Nick's Knee, Nick is hot and sexy guy with a bald head and tattoos not a jolly old fat man. He is looking for revenge because his wife died.

Their chemistry is scorching hot. This is fast-paced read and I adore reading it. The main characters are fabulous and the secondary characters just make it even more fantastic.
Mina Carter tells a fantastic tale for adults. I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed reading this intriguing and interesting book. It is one of the few books that I have read that is well written with a good story-line, which offers drama, suspense, intrigue, action, danger, attractions, lust, love and emotional feelings. The characters have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality. I enjoy a story that makes me LOL! I Highly Recommend this book and the series. He's started working with the PPA and goes undercover as a Pixie in order to help Joy Krasniqi dismantle her dead husband's mob organization. He poses as her lover who can take on the many challenges to assume her husband's old position. When Nick learns that Joy is Jack Frost's daughter, he feels like Christmas has come early and now he finally has the bait he needs to draw out Jack so he can finally get his revenge. But he doesn't expect to fall in love with Joy, nor does he anticipate the hurt his need for vengeance will cause.
I was initially resistant to the idea of jolly old St. Nick being a vengeful, badass skinhead. It seemed all kinds of wrong, but I was able to get past it and actually enjoy this story. I do like the idea of Santa/Jack Frost being ancient beings that more or less take on the form or duties that society needs them to. Nick and Joy were a good couple and their chemistry is pretty sizzling. The angst, after Joy realizes what Nick was all about, was also pretty delicious. So this turned out to be a solid paranormal romance/erotica. There were a few plot holes that needed filling in...like how Jack even knew that Santa basically wanted to kill him, why if Nick's entire family knew that the whole thing had been an accident they didn't try to stop him and why the pregnant Iliona's Gargoyle husbands didn't make mincemeat of Nick after his little stunt. Also, it was just a little strange that Nick's grown daughter is centuries older than the woman he is now marrying...heck, even his grandson is probably older than her. Not bad per se, but strange...but that's the result of dealing with immortals.

I so enjoy this authors paranormal romances. The characters are always to intriguing and sexy.
This story is not your usual Christmas read about Santa. In this case, Nick is not a jolly, fat man. He is a hot guy with a shaved head and tattoos and he likes to drink and have fun with women. Ever since his wife died, he has abandoned those old responsibilities and focuses on getting revenge. When he finds his enemy's daughter, he takes advantage of the situation to get the justice he wants for Mrs. Claus.
Joy is half-pixie and has lived a hard life. Now that her husband is dead, she wants to use it as an opportunity to stop his criminal network and save her from the men that want to control her and the territory. The pixie culture depicted is very violent and the women are treated as possessions. She contacts a group that can help her and they assign Nick to protect her.
The chemistry between the two is so strong from the beginning. Nick did not expect Joy to be a kind person who looks out for others first. He wants to use her to get to her father. Joy has only known abuse from men and is shocked by the attraction. They pretend to be lovers to keep him undercover and find it is not hard to fall into those roles. He has to decide if revenge is worth risking the chance at love.

Holy hades is all I can say when I started to read this story. This is not a jolly old St. Nick story in any way shape or form. Nick Claus is an Alpha male that has no problem raining death and destruction on those that deserve it. He is definitely in charge of the naughty list, and not the fun one! Now he is close to being able to wreck vengeance on his arch enemy Jack Frost. Making Frost’s daughter a part of the plan to take down his enemy isn’t anything he has an issue with. Being attracted to mortal enemy’s daughter is the issue.
Joy Krasniqi is finally free. With the death of her husband, she now controls her pixie clan and will have to make sure that she can maintain her position on top or she is dead or under the thumb of another male. Asking the PPA for help is the only thing that she can think of. Mistaking Nick for a pixie makes him the perfect bodyguard to help her. But the danger is real, and Joy not only has to deal with the deadly pixies that want her top spot, she has to deal with being a unwitting pawn in a much bigger game.
When it comes to hot as hell sexy scenes and danger peppered throughout a story, there is none better than Mina Carter. I have loved her Christmas Elves stories and the reading BAD SANTA has set totally blown my view of Santa Claus. Nick is rough and dangerous and so amazingly luscious it is hard to put into words. Joy is awesome as the heroine and she definitely is strong enough to handle Nick and anything else thrown at her. BAD SANTA has become a new favorite of mine and Nick is my newest book boyfriend!

All those books and storyies you've read where jolly old Saint Nick is a rotund, happy, bearded, figure - yeah not so much. Think 6ft plus of hard packed, short haired, tattooed bada$$! He is nursing a homicidal rage towards the man he holds responsible for his mortal wife's murder, Jack Frost. But when information comes to him that his latest charge from the PPA is Jack's daughter, Nick is all kinds of conflicted.
Joy is part pixie, part...something! She is sick to death of being traded like a pawn. When her less than loved hubby dies, she finally has a chance to take down his infested barrow and make a clean break. But she needs protection whilst she digs for dirt. Enter one tall, tattooed temptation! But when she realises that he harbours his own agenda, will she let him put a Kringle in her plans?
Joy and Nick are fun to watch as they circle each other, testing the chemistry between them. I loved getting to meet Dolph and the boys again and Nix is one quick butt daughter (she is named Nichola after all. We are all kick butt!!! LOL!) In this book we meet Nick Claus and Joy Krasniqi. Nick hasn't been the big man since his wife was killed by Jack Frost nearly 2 decades earlier. So he hung up the red suit and started working for the PPA. Little did he know that his latest assignment would be protecting Jack's daughter. He thinks this is finally a chance to get the man he has been search for all this time. Little did he know how much of a wallop little Joy would pack into his life. Can he have it all again or will he loose everything all over again?
Joy is finally free after her pikie mobster husband is dead. All she wants to do now is to clean up the burrow for all the woman that are still in this family. She has a greater goal and it doesn't include Nick, that is until she meets him. She didn't know what she was missing until Nick came into her life and flipped it all upside down. Now she doesn't know what to think does she follow her head or her heart? And if she does either will she loose something in the long run?
This is an amazing story that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. Nick and Joy have many ups and downs but you wonder can they really have a HEA or will their end goals kill that before they get the chance? I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Joys time is limited so gets help from the agency. Half Pixie and half of something is she doesn't know of as never met her dad. She has had to live under Pixie rule as the ruler wife and they are brutal. But Joy has so much fiery spirit and good in her that when he husband dies she wants to right some wrongs. To take down the bad Pixies she needs help and protection.
Nick has just been living a life of anger and revenge on his mind. After his wife is killed he gave up his duty and just lives on his lust to find Jack Frost and avenge his wife's death. He also works for the agency and agrees to work the Pixie case which also connects him to his chance at revenge.

Even though his wife died long ago, Nick still has vengeance in his heart. And Joy will give him the perfect opportunity to right a wrong that cost his wife her life. But when Joy's innate goodness stills into his heart, will Nick's need for vengeance cost him a future filled with love? I really enjoyed Nick. He was such a bad a$$ and looked the part. But his exterior hid a heart of gold. And Joy was just the key necessary to return joy back into his world. I loved that Joy was trying to right the wrongs of the crime family she was sold into. She was willing to die to make the world a safer place. While she was prepared to lose her life she wasn't unprepared for the assault Nick made on her heart. Ms. Carter gave us a well written and enjoyable tale. Both Joy and Nick were battered souls who needed each other to heal. And while it appeared their pasts would preclude happiness, Ms. Carter managed to give them journey that led to love and made sense. I enjoyed this addition to the series and look forward to seeing just who else (Dolph please???) will find their happily ever after.

Nick Claus was the original Santa but he stepped down when his wife's sleigh was found crashed and she and her reindeer frozen to death. Nick blamed Jack Frost and is hunting him down to get his revenge. Meanwhile he works at the PPA. His newest assignment is to protect Joy a pixie widow who wants to dismantle her late husbands criminal organization. He is instantly attracted to Joy and then he finds out she is the daughter to Jack Frost. He plans to use the daughter to get to her father.

This was such a good book, I really could not put it down. Nicolas Claus who is really Santa has handed his job over to his daughter Nix. He has been hunting Jack Frost for years as he blames him for his wife's death and he wants vengeance. Joy Kransniqi a half pixie and something else, she really does not know what is, has just become a widow and in control of her pixie husband Andri's clan, not a very safe position for a woman. Pixie's men are a cruel lot and Joy has no intention of letting the women of the clan be ruled by one of them ever again. So she is going to dismantle Andri's business empire by giving the information to Paranormal Protection Agency for their help. They give her Nicolas as her protection and he has just found out that Joy is Jack Frost's daughter. So he is going to help her but also put her up as bait so he can get to her father. Somewhere along the way he may just find out that he has fallen for his bait. Thank you to Mina Carter for the amazing review copy. Loved it. Highly recommend this book.

I really do love this series.
A very new way of looking at Santa. I don't think I will ever view Santa and his reindeer again without seeing tattooed biker dudes. I really was loving this story but then it just seemed to end because Joy forgave him within 5 seconds (okay 1 night).
Needed more grovelling or something from Nick.
What is he going to do with himself now he is no longer employed? Santa, Warlord, what?

I loved this story, it was so different. Nick is not your jolly fat Santa without some magic, the rest of the year he is a tattooed bad boy. Looking for the revenge of the death of his wife he falls for the daughter of his nemesis. The story was entertaining and the characters were hot together. Well done, I recommend reading this short tale.

An engaging, sexy, exciting to read story! I loved this twisted little tale so much that I just couldn't stop reading it. It is at times suspenseful, violent, sexy, emotional, and dramatic as well as funny. The dialogue is engaging, I loved the characters, and the story is just too good to put down.

Love the twist on who Santa is.
I love the twist on Santa and his reindeer and generations of their offspring. But then add in Jack Frost, his daughter Joy and the Christmas theme is complete. The fact that it has evil pixies makes it even better.

A great, quick read from Mina Carter's Paranormal Protection Agency. I really like this version of Santa! Enjoy!
