Love grew from the flames.

Brooke Winslow fought the demons alone, until a cowboy changed everything…

Brooke Winslow had the life she wanted until a car accident changed everything. People called her “lucky” because she survived, but luck was the last thing she felt when other lives were lost. Guilt plagued her and she hit rock bottom, not wanting to live, no longer wanting to face the images of that fateful night. Who would ever understand? Who would ever accept her secrets?

Tuff McCoy wasn’t a stranger to tragedy. He gained guardianship of his siblings after their parents passed away. He quit the rodeo and moved to Kerrville, Texas to work on Tebow Ranch with his distant cousins, the McCoy brothers, to provide a stable family life. Things started to come together, his brother and sister were smiling again, until the house they live in fell into the hands of a different owner. Will they have to move? How will he put his family through change again?

However, the new landlady wasn’t so bad…

In fact, if she’d just open up things might get pretty hot down on the farm. But Tuff is learning, letting go is a lot to ask.

Rhonda Lee Carver is a bestselling author of contemporary western and romantic suspense, but she loves to write other genres too. She's known for writing stories that keep readers laughing, crying, gripping the edge of their seats, and screaming all in one book...like riding a virtual roller coaster. Whether she's creating sexy cowboys or tough guys, or sassy, independent heroines, readers are sure to find strong, powerful, memorable characters that are relatable.

By day, she taps into her creative, fictional world but at some point she transitions back into reality where she's a volleyball-stands cheerleader, homework virtuoso (at least she thinks so), amateur nurse to skinned knees, mediocre chef with some awesome microwave skills, pet-guru (all the strays show up at her house), and a Jackie of all trades for her kids who are the loves of her life. Yoga and chocolate keep her sane. Hallmark movies require cuddling up with tissues because she can be emotional. She adds a sprinkle of her own real-life adventures in each story she spins because a little truth never hurt anyone. She wouldn't give up one thing in her crazy, chaotic, ever-amusing life, except, she might do magic tricks for the bungalow on the beach she's had her eye on (GOALS).

Writing for Rhonda is like falling in love and finding a new best friend over and over again. Her characters will find a place inside your heart too.

What an amazing book!! This book has it all.

Brooke is dealing with scars that she can't seem to move past. A call from an attorney changes the course of her life and brings her to the one man who could help her move on.

Tuff is just trying to make ends meets. Being the caretaker to his younger brother and sister while working the land is all he has time for. Finding out that he might have to leave the home he has made for his family has him worried.

However when these two meet, there is chemistry they can't deny. Brooke just has to let down her walls and let Tuff chase away the demons.

EMOTIONAL ROMANCE AND SALVATION

Not that familiar with this author's writing. Story was intense as the main character, Brook, is suffering from strong survivor's guilt as a result of a car accident. When she is given the opportunity to leave town on live in a ranch, she takes the chance to hopefully heal herself. She meets Tuff, the renter of her guesthouse. He is struggling with his own problems as he was left to raise his younger brother and sister. An emotional read going from inner turmoil to lasting romance.

Good

Two people struggling with loss. Tuff McCoy struggling with the loss of his dad and step mom, and taking on the responsibility of raising his brother and sister. Brooke still having nightmares about the accident that changed her life. These two people are brought together when they each needed help. A slow easy sexy romance.

This book hit home for me....

I was able to relate to the main character at times.
Everyone handles trauma differently.
Everyone can use a hero to slay those demons. Just a matter of letting that hero in.

Wow, That Was Absolutely Amazing

What happened to her father and mother? Not much is said. The book may not be long but it is full of emotions. Goes to show you don't need a long drawn out book to be enjoyable.

It continually held my attention. I didn't want to put it down. Only thing I would have liked to have seen is what reactions were after she told him her story.

Hell Yeah- Letting Go

Rhonda Lee Carver write another great addition to the Hell Yeah series. Letting go is a tale that grabs you by the heart and you can’t help but truly feel something for her characters. This book can be read as a stand along or along with the other books in the series (I recommend reading all the books in the series!)
We meet Brooke, who right off the bat is battling herself and the past all at once and is struggling. We learn that Brooke was involved in a car accident that cost the lives of a mother and daughter. Brooke tried to save the little girl and was pulled away and is living with the guilt. Brooke is no longer the girl she used to be and you get a good idea of what she is struggling with. Brooke gets mail and a phone call that turns her world into a different direction, maybe even a good direction.
Tuff McCoy is working on the Tebow Ranch and lives on the Winslow Farm where him and his brother and sister help out as part of living in the other house. Beatrice, the owner of Winslow Farm passes away and Tuff now has to worry about keeping the home he has for him and his siblings. Tuff see’s the girl who has come to town and is now the new owner of Winslow Farm. Brooke, has it set in her mind that she is going to sell the farm her grandmother has left her, but after meeting Tuff and getting a touch of her old self she starts to second guess her choice.
Rhonda has touched some sensitive topics in this story, but I commend her on how well she has written about it. I know it could go either way for people, but I believe she did it very well. Everyone deserves to be loved, and to have those second chances in life. This book will not disappoint!!

What do you do when you feel like you've hit rock bottom? When you feel like you have no where to turn, that nothing is working out at all? That you feel so much guilt, that at one time you even thought about taking your own life?

You let a McCoy slay your demons and heal your heart. That's what!!

Brooke ends up in Kerrville, Texas, home of all those hot McCoy brothers of Sable Hunter's Hell Yeah series. Tuff McCoy, one of their distant cousins, along with his younger brother and sister, is living in the guest house of the ranch left to Brooke by her deceased grandmother. Tuff breaks through her barriers, slays her demons and heals her heart. Was it easy and quick? No it wasn't. It took time and patience on Tuff's part, to show Brooke that she was worth something, to herself and him, and that she deserved to be loved.

So much compassion and love between these 2 ends up with a very sexy and steamy game of pool and some very hot sex scenes.

I love this addition to the Hell Yeah kindle world family.

I was able to get an arc of this book and this is my honest review!!

Nice, emotional story of a damaged soul that meets a lonely soul that becomes her savior. Brooke Winslow has been depressed since she was the sole survivor of a serious auto accident. She has been tormented by the fact that she couldn't save the four year old girl in the other car. Her depression is quite serious, and her therapist is concerned. One day, she receives a letter and a phone call that change her life.
Her grandmother has passed away and has left her property in Kerrville, Texas. She is baffled but gets herself to Texas for the funeral and the legal disposition of the property. Tuff Mc Coy has been living in the guesthouse on the ranch, and is afraid that he and his younger siblings will have to leave the house they are living in.

When Tuff meets the owner, he is immediately attracted to her. She finds him attractive too but she is wary of a romance in her condition. Their hormones don't listen.

A few things could stand a little more exposition, but a nice story anyway.

Rhonda Lee Carver did an exceptional job writing about a touchy subject. She took us in and got us out and moved on. Brooke was brought to her knees and with the help of Tuff became the woman she was always meant to be. Family values, love, kindness and understanding are important values which we see in this story. Tuff's story was no cakewalk either. As Brooke is taking care of family business, Tuff comes along and together, she gets through a hard time in her life. Rhonda made us laugh with Tuff's younger siblings and with the 4 of them, they all heal. Great, great read and a story that has stayed with me after finishing the book. I was given this book and I chose to give an honest review. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars!

Who doesn't love a second chance romance. After an accident left her life out of control and Brooke was given her grandmother's farm upon her death, she expected to go there and sell. However as fate would have it she met a cowboy, not just any cowboy, a McCoy cowboy! While Tuff isn't a Tebow ranch cowboy he's just as hot and wonderful. Brooke finds out that she can heal much faster by letting Tuff in, after all not every man out there would give up his own hopes and dreams to raise his siblings without complaining. He's definitely one of the good ones. It's only after you let go of the bad that you receive the good life has to offer. I'd love to read more about them as a couple and his siblings as they all form a family.

Brooke had gone through a very tragic accident that left her wondering if she would ever find love in her life again! This is a great story with lessons in how life is! Tuff had gone through his own issues by losing his parents and taking care of his siblings so they wouldn't be separated! Will he ever find someone that would not only love him but his brother and sister too. Rhonda Lee Carver writes such wonderful true to life and love stories! I loved this book and I truly believe that anyone that loves this genre would enjoy it too! Buy and see what happens between Tuff and Brooke you won't be disappointed!

Rhonda Carver wrote another book that was amazing but I wouldn't expect anything less! Letting Go is about Tuff and Brooke coming together but also letting go of their pasts! Tuff is raising his younger siblings on a dance in Texas that Brooke inherited. Brooke has had a hard life of letting go of her demons but with Tuff's love she is working through them. Letting go approached the sensitive Subject amazingly well. This book made me feel joy and happy tears for the couple!
I was given a free copy of this book and this is my honest review!

This is a touching story. Well written, perfectly paced, you follow along with no problem. Loved that Tuff is a loving person with a heart of gold to take the necessary responsibility to get and keep his family on the right track. Brooke has to overcome a very hard deal but with her strength she comes out on the right track. A must read for a romance with a HEA.

Great read

The only bad thing about a novella is when they are great they leave you wanting more. The storyline was a bit heart retching so have some tissues but my the end your smiling.

I truly love seeing Sable Hunter's McCoy family through the eyes of different authors.

In this book we meet a distant relative of the McCoy's, Tuff (Ted) who works on Tebow Ranch but lives in the guest house on the Winslow farm. Together with his brother Danny and sister Chelsea they all helped out the owner Miss Beatrice when they could. Now she is gone and the fate of the farm and their home lies in the hands of her granddaughter.

Brooke survived an accident in which the person at fault and her daughter died. She has scars both inside and out most from the accident and one from after. Although she is in a better place now, she is still hiding from others and herself. She needs a change, even her doctor sees that.

That change comes in an unexpected way. Her grandmother Beatrice died leaving her the farm she has only childhood memories of. She always wondered why her grandmother never reached out to her. Now she was going back there but she is determined  not to stay. She's going to fix up what needs to be fixed and sell the place.

There is an instant attraction between Brooke and Tuff but true to form Brooke fights it. She doesn't want to get close to anyone, doesn't want to reveal anything about herself. It's a good thing Tuff is the persistent type.

Rhonda hits some sensitive issues in this one and handles them very well. The budding romance, her attitude toward owning the farm, and her interactions with Tuff's siblings all become milestones.

A perfect example of why I absolutely love the McCoy's and everything I read of Rhonda's.
