If you have ever wondered what goes on in the world of dark ops, terrorist threats, threat assessment, or how are they thwarted, hang on tight, because Patrick Parker is about to take us on a high tension, rapid-paced, edge-of-your-seat ride with SIX MINUTES EARLY!

A former Green Beret has turned traitor to his country by stealing four miniature nuclear bombs for his new employer ISIS. The plan, learn what makes them tick and destroy vital American facilities, bringing the political giant to its economic knees, destroying any sense of security the U.S. may possess.

Called on to spearhead the hunt to find and stop the attack, Max Kenworth, former Delta Force officer and nuclear weapons expert will join with both FBI agent, Gail Summers and Mossad operative, Danya Mayer in a race against time as they piece together the elusive clues while staving off opposition from both enemy and allies, alike. The clock is ticking while governmental egos become rancorous roadblocks to saving the very soul of the United States.

Where will the bombs make the greatest impact? Is ISIS looking for instant gratification or the long term domino effect? As Max and his team prepare to defend the target of their collective gut instincts, they will lay their lives and the lives of the country on the line…and then they discover, for all the deadly power technology has learned to harness, one simple component could make all the difference between success and failure.

Patrick Parker not only details one of the contemporary world’s greatest nightmares coming to life, he does so with a bold and raw take on the often witnessed “governmental competition” to earn a “gold star” on their report. Gritty, raw and often frustratingly realistic, is it that easy for an intelligent and patient enemy to turn our last lines of protection into divas willing to prostitute themselves for a piece of the limelight? Heroes will rise, fall and remain unsung and Patrick Parker’s tale will chill your very bones with its stark and realistic atmosphere!

Discover intrigue, espionage, and what goes on behind the black curtain of security in this fabulous thriller that never lets up!

A Thriller with Unmatched Suspense!

Max Kenworth is a retired US Army Delta Force officer and nuclear weapons expert. Bart Madison is an ex-Special Forces officer who crossed paths with Max one too many times, and soon found himself booted out of the army. Max never believed he would come face to face with Bart again....Until now.

ISIS has come up with a plan to strike terror and death in the heart of America. They have money and the means to recruit disgruntled Americans to carry out their plan, and Bart Madison is their man. With help from a FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia) commander and his men, Bart attacks a secret NASA base in Panama where in fact four SADMs (Special Atomic Demolition Munitions) have been stored and guarded by the US Army. After acquiring the nukes, Bart hands over two to one group of terrorists who plan to take them to the Middle East. As for the other two nukes, Bart has come up with a plan to deliver and detonate them at key points in the United States that will change the course of the nation and world forever.

Max is approached by Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to find Bart Madison, and with the help of Danya, his Israeli lover and Mossad contact, he embarks on a journey that takes him to the jungles of Panama where he engages drug dealers and FARC terrorists, and back to America where he desperately searches for Bart and his ISIS contacts before they are able to follow through with their plan that would kill millions and devastate the nation.

This book is a page-turner in every sense. The author's background and experience have offered him a wealth of information which he puts to good use in this book. Details like how our security forces at home squabble over who's in charge, and how effective ISIS has been in recruiting Americans to conduct their bidding do not go unnoticed by the reader. I'm sure things in this book are happening all around us right now, and equally sure our government keeps them from the public in order to avoid panic.

In 'Six Minutes Early' the nuclear threat against America is alive and real, and one cannot help wonder if ISIS or some other similar terrorist group is planning such action against the United States this very moment. If such danger exists against America and our allies, I can only hope we have men like Max Kenworth, aided by women like Danya and Gail, and friends like Ludwig, to be on-hand if and when that day comes.

This book is an exciting thriller!

Max Kenworth is a former Army specialist with experience in nuclear weapons. When Bart Madison, former Green Beret now working for ISIS, steals 4 miniature nuclear bombs from a secret U.S. base in Panama, the hunt is on!

With help from FARC revolutionaries, Bart delivers 2 bombs to ISIS with plans to take them to the Middle East. The other 2 bombs are to be delivered to the U.S. where they will destroy important facilities that will cripple, perhaps destroy America's economy and security.

Max teams with an Israeli Mossad agent named Danya and a determined FBI agent named Gail. together they fight not only the odds against finding Bart and his terrorist accomplices, but the bureaucracy and red tape of Homeland Security and other agencies more interested in claiming to be in control than finding the missing nuclear bombs.

It all comes to a head as Max follows lead after leave, with Bart seemingly always one step ahead of him.

A political thriller that fair gallops along. Nuclear weapons are stolen although they are not really supposed to exist. An ex special-forces officer is the perpetrator and has a wide range of potential buyers - ISIS, drug cartels, Hezbollah - as well as his own agenda for their use - essentially to throw all of officialdom against each other and cause as much damage to the USA as possible. His 'good' counterpart, also former special ops, aligns with FBI, Mossad, Homeland Security. and a variety of other acronyms. The story is taut, the action strong, and both sides intelligent and skilled. It does rather feel that everyone and his dog are involved and that the author wants to include all of the modern world's social issues. It is complex. Nonetheless a good exciting read. Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

Six Minutes Early by Patrick Parker shows the great risk taken by security operatives in the fight against terrorism. Max Kensworth, a former Delta Force officer, is given the assignment of recovering stolen nuclear weapons (SADM). Representing the Department of Defense (DOD), he works closely with the FBI, Homeland Security and other security agencies, including the Israeli Mossad. These security agencies are bound by their interests in securing the weapons and saving their countries from possible attack by ISIS, Hezbollah or Iran. The whole operation is meant to be a secret one, in order to maintain calm in the U.S. and prevent information about the SADMs from getting to countries like Russia, as these are classified government equipment.

Six Minutes Early is full of suspense, action and intrigue. I totally enjoyed the storyline as I could relate it to real issues in the international community such as terrorism and counter-terrorism. I was really fascinated by the operations of the intelligence agencies, their strong ability to think outside the box and maintain a high level of secrecy. I was also amused at the naivety of Dawn Blakey. I loved the choice of words by author Patrick Parker, which gave Six Minutes Early a not too serious tone. Patrick Parker was also able to truly communicate and share his knowledge with readers without the use of vague sentences. He obviously poured himself into his writing which gave Six Minutes Early a touch of uniqueness. I was totally engaged by every chapter right to the end.

This is one of those books that grows on you the more you read it.

A mixture of Suspense, International Intrigue, Terrorism, Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Military genres.

Max Kenworth is part of a specially created joint task force assigned to track down four devices and the major players in a terrorist plot. The task force is up against an invisible clock, determined foes, and bureaucrats with opposing ideas.

I enjoyed the story overall. Mr. Parker does his best to enlighten the reader about things that are not common knowledge to many. While it may interrupt the flow a bit, it is not pages and pages like some authors I've read in the past.

Warning: There is Violence as well as Adult Language and Situations.

A Kindle Unlimited read, SIX MINUTES EARLY is not the first novel from author Patrick Parker that I have read, and is not likely the last. Yet, I found it disappointing. While I enjoy Patrick Parker's tales, this one failed to keep my attention. Possibly because of the drama and suspense of current political events within the intelligence community.

As a character driven reader, I found both the antagonists and protagonists one dimensional and the dialogue stiff. The scene setting was bland or non-existent leaving that blank canvas of my imagination unfinished.

In the gripping, heart-pounding political thriller “Six Minutes Early” former Delta Force commander and nuclear weapons expert Max Kenworth is charged with recovering nuclear weapons stolen from a storage facility in Panama. The theft jointly executed by disgraced ex-Special Forces Officer Bart Madison with the assistance of FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia) they are determined not only to sell two of the weapons to terrorists in the Middle East but to use the other two to bring death and destruction to the United States.

Faced with government incompetence in an election year, and “holes in national security” Kenworth with the aid of Mossad agent and his lover Danya as well as FBI agent Gail after assisting in the recovery of two of the explosives headed to the Middle East, locates a plot by Madison and his ISIS affiliates to attack landmarks in the States that will devastate the country and kill millions.

Fast-paced and action-packed tension and suspense quickly escalate as two of the weapons are smuggled across the border and into the United States under the eyes of Homeland Security. Emotional tension sparks further when Kenworth suspects Madison’s attack on an American national landmark only to put himself in danger as he begins to unearth his enemy’s plan. Well-developed and very realistic with a cast of compelling and multifaceted personalities, the plot quickly and seamlessly flows to a confrontation near the end that will keep you glued to your seat.

I thoroughly enjoyed “Six Minutes Early” a a story of “merciless rebels” and a man’s tireless energy in stopping a nation-wide disaster.

A gripping, realistic thriller you can’t put down

Six Minutes Early hooked me from the first chapter. Max Kenworth is a compelling lead, smart, seasoned, and human, and the tension around the stolen nuclear devices feels uncomfortably real in the best way. Patrick Parker’s military background shows through every page. The missions, decisions, and political obstacles all feel authentic, which makes the stakes even higher and the suspense even sharper. The pacing is tight, the twists land perfectly, and the sense of urgency never lets up. If you enjoy action-packed thrillers with real-world detail and smart storytelling, this book is absolutely worth reading.

Highly recommended for fans of military and political suspense.

This is a political thriller. Four man held nuke devices have been stolen from a secret facility in Panama. Max Kenworth is heading the investigation. How do you keep something like this quiet? Not easy but with help Max works at finding the nukes and getting them back. Bart Madison is helping the enemy and he is ex-military so knows how to evade Max and his crew. The trouble is those working with him do not have the commitment. Can they find all of the nukes in time?

DNF. No matter how good the story line is, it is hard to stay interested when the dialog is stilted and artificial sounding. The characters words simple did not match their persona.
