My five-year-old adores this book. He wants me to read it to him for a bedtime story every night. It is my least favorite book to read aloud to him.

A little outdated and linear at times, but incredibly useful still! I learned a lot and can’t wait to read the other guides as well :)

When I was exploring adding a Minecraft program to our 4th through 12th grade library patrons (and was "Minecraft illiterate), a co-worker with teen sons (both Minecrafters) recommended I read this book to get a basic understanding of how Minecraft worked. While I am by no means an "expert" after reading it, the Guide was an outstanding overview of what Minecraft is (kudos to the creators for building such an imaginative world); how it works complete with "recipes" for building structures, creating weapons, prepping food, etc.; explaining mobs (the passive, neutral and hostile) and the different environments encountered; and survival in this virtual reality world.

This is perfect for beginners with loads of handy hints. My boys and I all play this game and even though we know a fair bit through experience and by watching YouTube, it was still interesting to read through this guide book. My kids love it and I am sure it will be returned to again and again.

In this book, it tells you about exploring the world of Minecraft. It shows you how to get explorers maps to find naturally generated structures, and special ways to mark where you have been without getting confused or turned around and lost.

Pretty much an elementary guide into the game itself. If you've played Minecraft for some time or already know the basics, I'd skip this book.

I'd recommended for those who have no clue what Minecraft is and would like to get started.

This is definitely the book to give kids who are interested in Minecraft but have never played. My most important discovery from reading is the existence of mooshrooms (basically mushroom cows). My new Minecraft goal is to find and adopt one.

Helpful for new players, but doesn't have much new info for pros, or people who have played for a long time

Šitas bija mums tāds atkārtojums, bet ir pāris lietas, kas ieviestas tikai svaigākajās mainkraft versijās.

Includes the basics of Minecraft, but not so much in the way of tips and strategies for exploring the world.

book

The book was good, but the book was mostly copied from the book Minecraft: guide to survival why it was like that, I don’t know.

Guida ottima, perfetta, spiegata molto bene.

+ Gives a clear overview of how to get started, and where to find important items.
- Doesn't acknowledge the existence of online multiplayer (except for Realms), which is one of the most popular features.
