Author

From the author: "A collection of formal poetry in three sections: the first personal, the second examining the wider, and the third engaging with history and politics. As the forms used include ballad, ballade, blank verse, ghazal, heroic couplets, kyrielle, nonce forms, rondeau, skeltonics, sonnet, and villanelle, The Killing Tree lends itself to use as a text in teaching formal verse."

Excellent formal poetry. This book includes a variety of poetic forms: kyrielle, sonnet, rondeau, rhymed couplets, quatrains, ghazal, ballade, triolet, monorhyme, villanelle, blank verse, free verse, and so on. Quite an accomplishment.
