Anatomy class is so easy, said no one ever! The Anatomy Coloring Book by Eric Wise just might be the answer you have been looking for. This book is a nonfiction, text book, study guide, workbook and coloring book all in one. Do not be fooled by seeing the phrase coloring book, this is a detailed text book. If you are a visual learner, coloring the body is a great memory tool. However, this book is suited to all learners because it is a detailed, easy-to-follow book. Kaplan’s Anatomy Book is very detailed and the illustrations are clear and actually pretty. The text uses anatomical terminology. Each illustration is self quizzing with an answer key. This book is divided by systems. There are specific chapters on each system like cells, tissues, skeletal system, articulations, nervous system, sense organ, endocrine system, cardiovascular system and the list goes on. The best part is the muscular system because it has flash cards you could remove to use. If Anatomy is a struggle for you this book has you reading, writing and coloring which is so helpful to memorising. I give this book five big golden stars. The five star rating is because anatomy is an extremely difficult subject and this book can be the difference in passing the class and being able to graduate. Being able to quiz yourself as you go is super helpful. The book has a very clear users guide that explains how to properly color the diagrams and how to get the most out of the textbook. My one wish is that all school subjects could have a guide like this. Coloring your way through school would be a game changer for visual learners like me. Now, stop reading this review and go buy this book before you flunk Anatomy.
I tutored Human Anatomy for 5 years and this is the best book to take to lab! One of our own Santa Barbara City College instructors helped with the text. Great for any anatomy student!
