Okay, I've read a lot, like A LOT, of romance novels. Can't even count the number of intimate scenes I've read. The FIRST intimate scene in this book? Best one I've read...ever. It was sweet. It was hot. I had to read it a second time, just to be sure I was right. Yep. Best first sex scene ever.

I enjoyed the rest of the story, too. I had some suspicions about where some things were going, but this author kept it fresh, and fun.

Rory is definitely One Hot Scot. He's also i

Time passes. Time heals. Time sucks. Im weary of being told all I need is time, when in actual fact what I need is time out.

I was struggling a little bit about how to rate this book, if either 3.8 or 4 stars, and I think Im gonna give it 4 because the cover (just take some time to appreciate it please), and because I had such a good time reading this one.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily wrote an honest review.
This book is more like 4.5 star. I have to say this book really held my interest from start to finish. I do have to say that being it was written by an author from another country and written based in another country, it did slow my reading of the book down. But that certainly did not take any of my enjoyment while reading it. There were a few things I had to look up to see what it meant and most of the time just finding

I loved these characters. I love those books where you click with not just the main two characters but the others aswell and that's exactly what this book is like. Fin is one of those characters you can picture yourself going to the pub for a glass of wine with. She's smart, funny, sweet and I just loved her. With her crazy and absolutely hilarious (and sometimes vulgar) best friends always having her back, you get a sense of them all having a really strong bond.

Rory is *swoon*. Well

As the title is One Hot Scot, you might be surprised to know that it is set in Scotland!  This is the first book I've had to read in the Scottish dialect. .. And I REALLY did have to go back over some parts and reread in Scottish accent (although I mostly ended up sounding Irish to myself)
I digress..
The story is sweet and heartbreaking, funny and cute. I have Fin and Rory in my head now, but I could have bashed their heads together at times! Stop r

Boys and girls, if you haven't read Donna Alam, now is the time to start. One Hot Scot is hilarious, intriguing and sexy.

Fin's life has never been great. High school was awful, kids are so mean. She finally feels like things are good when it all goods to pot. Back in her hometown, last place she wants to be, broke and unemployed. Her friends help pick her up. Fin's interactions with her girlfriends are some of my favorite parts of the book. Ivy, Nat and even ole June are so entertaining. I look

5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐big stars for Donna Alam's One Hot Scot - and trust me, this is one smoking hot book. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time, and the hot sexy scenes, grab your boyfriend or your husband and keep him home for the day. The writing is brilliant. The vinacular is Scottish, obviously, so it took a minute and a little dictionary diving at first but so worth it. The characters were real and genuine. The story is compelling and complicated. There are many twists and turns and once you pick it ...more

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the way the story was told and I loved the characters. The author writes in such a way that's it's easy to read , which I love in a book.

In this book we meet Fin, her friends Ivy and Natasha and of course, June. We also meet the man of the book, Rory.

Fin considers herself broken. Widowed at a young age, living with her friend who feels she needs to start living again and being back in her home town.

Rory, loves woman but seemingly has a lot on his plate. Put

Romance at its best. I didn't know what to expect from the book. But I was happily surprised by it. It is amazing how so many mistakes and misunderstandings can lead a person in the wrong direction. But fate must of wanted it to work out.

She is a young widow and is trying to pull herself together after the scandal that her husband had caused. But going back home and running into the one man she left home because, may of been the best thing to ever happen to her.

I voluntarily read and reviewed
Although I had to re-read passages - due to the Scots dialect and slang - on occasion, this was a sometimes long-winded, but satisfying read. I enjoyed the H, Rory, and to a lesser extent, the h, Fin. (Being in her head was humorous, but also very irritating with her indecisiveness...Ugh)!
The best part of the book was the last 20% or so, when things began to come to a resolution (at last)!

One Hot Scot is the first book in Trouble by Numbers series, and much anticipated new release from Donna Alam. I love all of Ms. Alam’s books- I’m not sure how she does it and it never ceases to amaze me how she is able to up the ante with every story she writes- her books just get better and better, with each new release. The story is extremely well written, the plot is brilliant- it’s sexy, oh so steamy and very witty- with just the right amount of drama, suspense and emotion. I was abs

It’s been awhile since I've written a review and the reason being, I have been in the worst book funk ever. I have tried to get through various books numerous times over the last few months, but it just wasn’t to be.
Then along came ‘One Hot Scot’ book funk cured. Oh My God I have never laughed so much while reading a book. Timing is everything when telling a joke, right? The punchline needs to be surprising, it’s crucial that your delivery is as good as the end. The Author of this story is not

The elusive blue… 5+ stars!!!!!

I devoured this book. It’s the reason for my book hangover and a story I will not soon forget. I love how Ms. Alam steadily unfolds Fin’s backstory, how she is left hurt, angry and dazed over the loss of her husband. Now a young widow of 25, she finds herself back in a small town in Scotland where she grew up. Remembrance of a tender time come flooding back to her special memories of a young man. A man whom she offered her innocence and would forever change her hea

5 hilariously steaming hot stars

This book was on one hand hilarious but on the other hand panties melting. I mean more like really steaming hot.
The story itself was interesting, very well written, spiced with plenty of Scottish burr and the right amount of twists. And have I said hilarious? Yes....I was laughing quite a lot.

Fin has had a horrible time trying to get over the sudden death of her husband, Marcus. While she wasn’t sure how she felt about him anymore after years of being treated like an object, the way in which he died still haunts her. All the lies, secrets and betrayal has left her feeling like a shell of a woman so she escaped back home to Scotland to stay with her best friend Ivy while she tries to but her life back together. This was a steamy and hilarious second chance romance. The witty (and often amusingly vulgar) banter between the characters really made the book. As another reviewer mentioned, since the author is from and wrote the story based in another country, some of the slang and dialogue did confuse me a bit. As I kept reading it got easier, but initially, it did slow me down a bit trying to figure out what was being said.

I'm usually not a fan of the manwhore hero, but Rory did win me over in the end. I d

One Hot Scot is a second chance novel by Donna Alam

Fin’s life sucks, he husbands has just died, well presumed dead after going missing at sea, she has lost her job, her life style she is used to, she has just missed out on jail time due to a scam her dead husband did, and to top it all she has had to move back to the one place she has hated her whole life, Home! Now living with her best friend, she must find her way out of her funk and simply move on with life, something she is to depressed abou

This book. I had a lot of fun reading it. There was a bit of a language barrier but after a few chapters I was reading like a pro. It gave the feeling of being on vacation without leaving my couch. I really enjoyed living in Fin's eyes. She was kick@ss. I really enjoyed Mr. Tall dark and f*** me himself Rory. His accent made him twice as attractive. This is an amazing book and I cannot wait to read more from Donna Alam!
This is a must read / one click read for me.
Here are some of my favorite one
Fin is newly single and trying to figure her life out. I couldn't get into this book, put it down a lot, forgot about and couldn't wait to finish it. There is a lot of Fin interacting with her friends and no development on the relationship between Fin and Rory until like 60%. I didn't feel I knew the character and they behaved like children most of the time. Rory acted strangely stalkerish after sleeping with Fin. He let himself into her house when she wasn't there, smelled her pillow and dug ar ...more

This book ended up being really hard for me to read cause I just did not have it in me to keep looking up the Scottish slang that was every other word in the book, this was a major turn off for me. For someone who is not familiar with Scotish words this may be a deal breaker for you, The other thing was the H. He was an arse. This book was HILARIOUS.
I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of times I literally LAUGHED OUT LOUD!!!
I absolutely adored the journey that Fin and Rory took in this book. From their first encounter, to meeting again years later, to all of the crazy a** drama that happened, to finally, FINALLY, getting their HEA.
I NEVER saw the ending drama coming and WHAT A TWIST!!

One Hot Scot by Donna Alam a hot five-star read. This is the first book in the Trouble by Numbers series, and is a second chance novel. Featuring one very hot scot called Rory Tremaine he is ripped, handsome, rich and a lady killer of epic proportions, he is also one half of a set of twins who couldn’t be more different they may run a business together and look alike but that’s where the similarities end. Hilarious and Hot

You know how sometimes you think, 'well, this book is maybe 4.5 stars, or just a bit above or under, so I will give it 5 stars'? This book is five stars. Hands down. The hot scenes are maybe a 7 of 10, the romance an 8 of 10, but what really makes this story is the humor. And the surprises. And what seems to be a good grasp of Scotch culture. The author did a nice job making this story not feel like a formula romance. Very enjoyable. I hope the author expands on Soraya in the fu

When Fin finally ventures out to help her BFF Ivy open her hair saloon, she runs into somebody she hasn't seen since she was twenty one years old Rory, but he doesn't recognize her! Donna writes dirty stories, according to her family. She hopes you find them funny, too.

When not bashing away at a keyboard, she can usually be found hiding from her family and responsibilities with a good book in her hand and a dog that looks like a mop by her feet. She likes her humour and wine dry, her mojitos sweet, and her language salty.
