My Five star review for: A Mighty Rolling Thunder
Written by Kerry Alan Denney
This Horror novel was my first read by Kerry and I’m glad I came to learn of this author’s talent for writing horror with this story mainly because I was surprised by the level of fear I felt while reading. The story starts off with a cataclysmic event that basically leaves some humans unchanged while changing others to a baser level of kill for pleasure without regard for human life. This world for each person changes

A Mighty Rolling Thunder by Kerry Alan Denney starts out so nice…but it quickly turns into a run for her life for Livy…enter Conor, a guy with no memory…

At 17% it hit me…I have had those same thoughts. What would I do? How far would I be willing to go if the shit hit the fan? Lawlessness, fear, hunger, need desire…The Rapture…the people are gone, just vanished.

Could you imagine talking to your dog, yeah, I know you already do, but what if he really understood you…and talked back?

A Mighty Rolling Thunder is an amazing book you should read. This is not the first book I have read that was written by Kerry Alan Denney, and I promise it won't be the last! This author knows how to draw you into her story. This book is written by an expert and it shows. The plot is imaginative and unique and is difficult to put down. It almost has an "The Stand" by Stephen King, kind of feel to it. The pace is perfect giving you lots of action but never rushing you through the story. There are ...more

When the metaphysical takes on a very real aspect, two-thirds of the world’s population is wiped out. Those who remain find either their inner greatness or their darkest impulses brought uppermost, and in the resulting chaos, Livi finds herself facing off against an obsessed businessman possessed by the darkest side of humanity, intent on owning her, her art, and her soul. With her only back-up her snuggle-loving golden retriever, Beauty, Livi is lucky to find allies in the most unlikely places— ...more

Wow, Kerry Alan Denney is the real deal. This is the first book I've read by him and am just blown away by his mastery of storytelling. There are so many levels of "life messages" in this book, so many great one-liners, so much intensity . . . if I could give it more than five stars, I would. I love books that make me think beyond the story, which in this case is a spot-on supernatural thriller. I'm thinking about how we reap what we sow, how we're all a bit of darkness and light, and how at the ...more

An exciting fast paced apocalyptic non-stop action adventure! Unique and original with deeply empathetic characters, especially the fur buddies and disgustingly horrific villains! One wild ride!

A Mighty Rolling Thunder by Kerry Alan Denney
A Mighty Rolling Thunder by Kerry Alan Denney is a frightening paranormal story. It's about the end of the world. I gave it five stars. It is non-stop action and breath-taking intensity.

Protagonist Livi DeSilva is a thirty-three-year old artist on the run for survival. Her golden retriever is named Beauty. She met Conor McLain, an amnesiac. He had a German shepherd named T-Rex. They teamed up in an effort to survive a mutual foe, Victor van Danz, a

Mr. Denney has done it again.....written another book I couldn't put down. Its a great mix of different genres: post-apocalyptic, supernatural, horror, paranormal, and urban fantasy. I loved it, my new favorite. I loved Livi, the heroine, because she is such a strong-willed, determined woman. I also loved Conor, the book's male hero. Who wouldn't? But I especially loved the dogs, T-Rex, Beauty, Cisco, and Pancho. So lovable, and such fun canine characters, and funny too. And also furry heroes! I ...more

A great story

This is the most wonderful post apocalypse story I've ever read. It has adventure, danger, the supernatural, good men and bad, romance, and dogs. You won't want to put it down.
I'm a fan of this author, having read several of his earlier works, including Jagannath, Dreamweavers, and Soulsnatcher. This newest release, a blend of supernatural thriller, post-apocalyptic horror, with elements of romance, suspense and the awesomeness that are dogs, simply does not disappoint. A Mighty Rolling Thunder is an epic read that combines the universal struggles of good versus evil with the fundamental basics of an awesome Southern country breakfast of eggs, bacon, and grits.

I received a copy of this book from the author for review purposes. This is in no way reflected in my opinion of this anthology. I did not receive any form of compensation for my review.

A Mighty Rolling Thunder is a post-apocalyptic tale that will keep you hooked until the very last page. Combining elements of Dean Koontz with William W. Johnstone's Ashes series (One of my favorites for all you post-apocalypse fans out there.) this story of good vs. evil is a fantastic read filled with both hear

A Mighty Rolling Thunder is an intense read, moving me into an entirely new world for a post apocalyptic novel, and is another one knocked out of the park for this amazing, talented author.
Kerry Alan Denney moves you thru each scene, taking you to the edge of your seat, making it impossible to want to put it down. Pages and chapters become irrelevant as time ceases to exist except for the time in the world he's created.

While I can't wait to see what he comes up with next, this one will join th

Wow! I read the whole book in one sitting. I just could not put it down. A Mighty Rolling Thunder is a fantastic journey into a new kind of post-apocalyptic world, one you will never see anywhere else. Denney consistently writes the most amazing novels, nothing like you will read from anyone else. He has no typical theme or genre; he makes it his own, and when you read it, he makes it yours as well. Highly recommended for all speculative fiction readers!

Rich imagery and a very different plot made this book nearly impossible to put down. This is not your typical apocalypse or rapture story. is Horror Fairy-tale a genre? If so, this book MIGHT fit there. My favorite part is the dogs... and I'll not be telling you any more, so as not to spoil the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Kerry Alan Denney’s A Mighty Rolling Thunder came to me with high recommendations. I enjoy a good apocalypse novel and was pleasantly surprised when this one was that and so much more. After the Rapture in the year 2024 when half of the world populations is mysteriously removed, Denney fills his apocalypse with supernatural beings that inhabit the remaining human and turn them toward good or evil and the age old war is played out in the microcosm of Livi DaSilva’s world. Livi is one of the good ...more

I won a copy of this eBook and had not read anything by this author before. From page one I was struck by the quality of the writing. I knew I was going to be carried along by the story, not bogged down in unnecessary purple prose. Mr Denney knows how to draw the reader in with his fluent, intelligent penmanship and he keeps the action going at a cracking pace, page after page. (Wind-in-fur!) It is a thrilling post-apocalyptic novel that keeps you guessing as to the true nature of the good and e ...more

Kerry did it again! Had me sucked into story from page 1 and as I read I got totally freaked out. Just thinking about shadow-mans taking over someone and going on a killing spree was scary but having some guy who is insane and has a God complex due to his lack of masculinity and thinking he was absorbing people's powers just freaked me out. I loved the part of being able to communicate with their dogs telepathically, that wa

Thrilling story!

This story definitely lives up to its title. It is mighty. It's not another post-apocalyptic story. Well, it is, but it is definitely unique and very creative. I've never read any of Denney's work before, but I definitely will look for more of his work! Denney's writing is amazing and the environment pulls the reader right into the middle of the story. The darkness is balanced perfectly, and the sense of terror is unyielding. I really enjoyed the story, and things are not as they

I enjoyed this book.

Let's start with what I didn't like: At times the book lagged for me. Not enough to stop reading so it was a small annoyance. At first, it was difficult to understand what was going on but, a bit more into the story cleared things up a lot. Just be patient, you can decide what it means to you. What I just told you was clear as mud but I promise, you will understand, just keep reading...!

Review of “A Mighty Rolling Thunder” by Kerry Alan Denney.
This being my first time reading Denney, I wasn’t too sure what to expect. I wasn’t disappointed though with what I found within the pages of the book. If you want a short description of “A Mighty Rolling Thunder” I would say that it’s like Stephen King’s “The Stand” if King was more brutal in his writing.
The premise of the two stories are basically the same. An apocalyptic event happens, good guys and bad guys are defined, and a battle

'A Mighty Rolling Thunder' completely blew me away with a huge, impacting storyline. Well written and well thought out. The storyline itself is full of suspense, thrilling scenarios and a wide variety of characters. Livi is a great lead. She's beautiful inside and out. Her passion for life, her loved ones and her beliefs are strong. Conor is also an amazing character. He makes snap judgement calls and they actually work out. Brady and Beth are the best. They are the epitome of love and hope. A g ...more
