As the guitarist for the rock band Caged, I know the rules: no relationships. No complications. Leave ‘em smiling when you go, but always go. Besides, it’s not like I’m ever in one place for more than a few days at a time. As the next hottest thing out of Austin, the band and me are riding the wave, and the music is a

Gone For You is book one in the Sixth Street Bands series by Jayne Frost. In full disclosure here, I have already read books four and five of this series and have fallen so in love with them that I wanted to go back and read the first three books that I missed. So, I already have a connection to these characters. This is Jayne Frost’s very first book, her debut into the world of book publishing. As the book progressed, I felt the flow get better and better, or maybe it was just my love of the ch ...more

Meh! Coulda - shoulda - woulda type of scenario. Just not much to this one. Story sagged and never really grabbed my attention. And the characters were less than convincing. I had a very hard time getting through to the end. It felt really juvenile and meaningless.

I've heard nothing but good things about books three and four in this series but since I always feel left out of the loop when I don't start a series from the beginning, I decide to give this a go.

And it was all right...very light romance with no major issues however its fairly predictable. The books is short (167 pages) so the depth is lacking.

Cameron and Lily meet when one of his band members is injured and the rest have to have a place to hang out for a few days. It just happens to be

Gone for You was the first book in the Sixth Street Bands series by Jayne Frost.

Cameron Knight was the gorgeous guitarist for the rock band Caged. He was a one night no strings attached guy. Until he met Lily.

Lily Tennyson was a student who also worked two jobs to keep afloat, one of which was at an upscale hotel. She was assigned to the band Caged while they were there for a few days incognito to ensure all their needs where met and the public stayed at bay.

Gone for You was written in a single

Lily has a great job at a resort in Dallas. She had no idea what she was in for when this famous guitarist walks into her life. Cameron Knight looked like nothing but trouble but what was wrong with finding out just how much trouble he could be.

I'll just cut to the chase about Gone for You. I struggled with the rating on this one, I didn't know whether to give it one or two stars. Harsh, right? I just really didn't connect with ... anything ... in

DNF 20%. Maybe it’s the current political climate- or the fact that I’ve been sexually harassed on the job before (many times, with varying severity), but I couldn’t get past the fact that if the male MC looked like Harvey Weinstein and not a sexy, tattooed rock star, we’d see his behavior for what it is: sexual harassment. And I’m really disgusted about the fact that the message it sends out into the world is that if the guy harassing you is sexy, it’s flirting.

Maybe the story suffers from not

"Gone for You," the first book in the Sixth Street Band Series by Jayne Frost, was amazing and I absolutely loved it! I liked that it wasn't too long or too short, but just right. I read it in under two days and enjoyed every minute of it. Cameron Knight and Lily Tennison were wonderful main characters, and I loved their personalities and chemistry together. They clicked right from the start, and though their re

I reviewed this book and the second one in the series (Fall With Me) at the request of the author. I am so glad that they reached out to me to review these books because they were AMAZING! I really loved getting lost in these books. Plus they were cute, quick reads and that was exactly what I needed at the time!

Now on to the actual review of this book!

Cameron Knight, lead guitarist for the band Caged, lives the good life. Caged’s fame is on the rise, his pick of the ladies is endless, and his bandmates are his best friends. When the bassist for Caged is involved in an accident in Dallas, the news spreads like wildfire, and the hotel where the band is staying is swamped with fans willing to make all their “troubles” disappear. Now we move from the virtuous, faithful hero of Fool Me Once to the disgustingly promiscuous Cameron, lead singer of a rock band. Yeah, I do struggle with this trope, I'll be honest.

From threesomes and very dirty, disrespectful chat between the guys in the band about the women they fuck, to use their word for it (not sure how they figure they are any different or any better than their groupies, but I guess the double standard is still alive and well) to devoted, faithful lover in the s

“‘Before you get all starry eyed, you should know I haven’t had a girlfriend since the eleventh grade. So I probably suck at it.’”

Cameron Noble, known to his fans as Cameron Knight, is the guitarist in a Texas rock band, Caged. Feel free to get starry eyed though because Cameron is such a cutie, and while he didn’t used to do the dating thing, he sure is sweet, sexy, and chivalrous about it when he meets Lily Tennison.

Lily might just be Cameron’s match. Though her job puts her at his disposal, s

Jayne Frost's Gone For You is the first book in the Sixth Street Band series and I really enjoyed Cameron and Lily's story. This was actually my first read by the author and I'm definitely intrigued by her. The book immediately thrusts readers into the mind of Cameron Knight, our main hero, and I was frankly overwhelmed at first. I initially felt no connection to the secondary characters, even though Cameron obviously

Gone For You is a rockstar romance that captured my attention right from the start, and even though it falls into the insta-love category, everything about how Lily and Cameron meet and fall for each other is just perfect. I’ll be honest—I went into this thinking I was going to be reading just another rockstar book, something to pass the time and keep me entertained…and finished with this being one of my favorites in that category. Consider it rockstar romance done right!

It’s got all of the elem

Gone For You was my introduction to this author and I'm happy to say it was a pleasure. I'm thrilled that I got in during the beginning of the series and I'm not frantically trying to play catch up as I seem to always be doing. While I enjoyed the chemistry between Cameron and Lily that wasn't what totally sold me on the series. It's the chemistry between the Caged band members that had me ready to stow away on their tour bus. I really enjoyed their close relationsh

This is first in the series of The Sixth Street Band. I always like a good rock romance and this book let you take a little look at the life of these bandmates on the road. Cameron was the typical rocker with women at his disposal and that reputation followed him which he was fine with until he meets Lily. The author gives you plenty of humor and steamy scenes to keep it interesting.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

A wonderful read from a male POV......BRILLIANT idea!!!!

GONE FOR YOU is the first book in Jayne Frost's Sixth Street Band Series. I went into this book blind, not knowing anything about either the author or the storyline of the book. I came away absolutely loving both. The book was extremely well written, it had an easy flow to it and was just the right length. Jayne didn't try to cram too much into it, instead she just let the story build itself up in a way that I was drawn into it.

In the world of Rock 'N Roll it is best to be free of relationships. With all the travel, groupies, and other temptations along the way, it is very hard to maintain the intimacy and care needed. Also, Cameron lived through his father's betrayal to his mom and family. That man only ever thought about achieving fame and glory. No wonder he walked away from his family!

Nothing prepared him for the impact meeting Lily would have on him. The minute he saw her he felt someth

Cameron is the guitarist for Caged, a rock band based out of Texas. He’s used to having his choice of women, all more than willing to throw themselves at him for a one-nighter. When a traffic accident involving Caged’s drummer occurs, Cameron has to stay at an exclusive spa before his next big concert. He meets Lily, a competent, hard-working student who is very different from the women he usually meets. He’s intrigued by her and decides to sweep her off her feet. She will be the girl

This is the story of Cameron and Lily. Cameron is in a popular band and used to getting what he wants. Lily is a young woman estranged from her rich family, working her way through college. Their lives are very different. Jayne Frost does a wonderful job telling this story and bringing it all together for a happy ending! I loved this book and look forward to more from this author.

This was just ok. Nothing spectacular. It didn't feel fully fleshed out, and the ending was pretty rushed and rough.

My Thoughts:
an engaging, witty, sexy as all hell take on the quintessential scenario of celebrity falling for the girl next door .

This was a sweet light read. First book by an author I never read. I'm going to read the rest of the series for sure as I'm curious about the other member of the group.

Gone For You was a light and fast read, and fast not just in the way that you can read this in a couple of hours but fast also in how things go between Lily and Cam.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy this book a lot and I loved meeting all the men and seeing them in action. It was super fun and hot but when it comes to romance everything really happened super fast, that in no way affects my opinion of the book. I'm just letting all of you that get put out by this stuff know.

Gone for You was a decent rockstar romance. I thought it was ok for the most part, but I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I liked that the story is centered around Texas.

For the most part this book was really easy to read and I got through most of it quickly, but I got to a point where I really just lost interest in the characters and the story. The story focuses on Cameron and his relationship with Lily who works at a resort the band is staying at to get away from media. I reall

I was gone the moment Cameron Knight couldn't stop thinking about the beautiful Lily Tennison and asked a valet more info about her. He's got it bad for her, and I got it bad for him, too (LOL). I love that the story was told in Cameron's perspective; I thought it sounded more pers

rock star stories are my weakness and this one didn't disappoint... my only complaint was it was too short.. I wish it would have been a full length book instead of a novella so the story wouldn't have been so rushed.. I did love the boys in the band... looking forward to reading the rest of the series

And kudos to the author.. it was set in Dallas and all the points of interest hit in the book were real.. right down to street names... nothing will kick you out of a story set in your town like th
