Stone is the president of the Lords of Chaos, the second and youngest MC in the small Midwest town where he grew up. From a very young age he’d heard the stories of his dad. A man of vision who’d helped start the first MC in town, and how his partner at the time Clyde Drexel had double-crossed and murdered him. There was never enough proof, but the locals were convinced. Now thirty years later, Stone, who has thwarted Drexel at every turn, is the president of his own club. The two men never see eye to eye on anything so it’s a bit of a shock when Drexel turns up dead and his only daughter finds herself on the enemy’s doorstep seeking protection. Chloe Drexel is away at school when she gets the news that her dad is dead. In the days leading up to his death she’d been receiving cryptic texts and phone calls, but none surprised her more than the one ordering her to seek out his sworn enemy for protection on the event that something should happen to him.
Now you would have to be a fan or have read a few of JS books to know that this book was a slow burn. With the first sex scene coming at around 60% into the book. Also, we only had a few of them but they were still very HOT! Just not as intensely OTT crazy as I have come to expect from this author.
This book is the story of two rivals coming together via circumstances beyond their control. The heroine Chloe is the daughter of the hero Stone/Gavin sworn enemy, whom (after she fathers murder) is told to seek Stone's protection. Chloe runs to his place after hearing the nefarious plans a few members of her father's MC had for her. She is desperate and searching for answers. "Who killed her father and what does that mean for her and her future!?"
Now the hero Gavin is reluctant to have the daughter of his mortal enemy in his club or his home. But he was never one to turn away a person in need so he allows her to stay! "She was an orphan. She had no one left in the world. No one but me. Whatever obstacles stood in our way, I couldn’t let that stand. She needed me."
He knows her being in his home was going to be difficult. With so much bad blood between them because of her Father's betrayal of the hero's father. His mother being the only witness to this, was holding so much bitterness that she slowly but surely instilled in him that bitterness and the need for revenge.
So Gavin was fighting his attraction and effectively forces himself to see Chloe as a child! And this seemed to work....for a while anyways. Also, Gavin is keeping secrets from Chloe and with the danger that they face, could he share these secrets with her?
In general, enjoyed this book and it's an interesting story however it ended too soon for me. I wanted more of a conclusion with the issues and secrets. I wanted to witness first hand these moments and not told as a recollection of facts at the end.
This left me a little disappointed and feeling like something was missing!
But what saved it for me was also the EPIC EPILOGUE. Something JS is known for!
Safety: no issues or triggers with no drama. Faithful.
Jordan Silver is on a roll with all of these releases recently!
Gavin Stone is a tough, sexy biker. He is the president of the club he formed after the death of his father. He hates the president of his old club because he believes wholeheartedly that he killed his father. Now, that man is dead and his young daughter just showed up at his door, begging for protection. He knows he should not feel attracted to her not only because she is the enemy's daughter, but also because she is almost 10 years younger than him.
Chloe is young, but she's not naive. She is well aware that her father is a president of a MC, even though he's tried to keep her sheltered from his activities. Now, her father is dead and she has a note from him telling her to go to a man that is his enemy for protection. She is attracted to him instantly but his cold demeanor tells her he will never think if her as anything other than the enemy's kid. Or could she be wrong about him?
~hot filthy talking biker who starts out as a real jerk, but he definitely warms up by the end of the story ~young feisty heroine who gives the hero a run for his money. She acts tougher than she really is and Gavin sees through her facade ~hero pushes heroine away - ~steamy sex scenes in the second half of the book - classic JS hero *think 12 inches, dirty talking and very bossy ~no cheating or ow/om drama ~great epilogue that is years out with marriage and babies! -she always delivers the good epilogues
. 2stars or 3stars??? .... I went with 3 because it did enjoy it for the most part, even though it was easy to put down and I would forget to pick it up again.
I felt like JS phoned this one in.
Chloe is the daughter of Gaven Stone's enemy. But he's dead now and Chloe needs sanctuary from her dad's second in command who wants her any way he can have her.
Gaven is one of those hero's who never puts a wrong foot forward. So there's really no tension in the story. Not even when the action is happening. He's late 20's I think and Chloe is 18. But the chemistry is pretty insta. I don't understand why he falls for her though. She's kinda a whiny bitch... The author tells us she's nice etc, but what comes outta her mouth in the story is a whole lotta whining.
safety is good. No skanky OWs in this one, even though they mention early on how he has casual sex like other people choose tshirts in the morning. The sex isn't as raunchy as it sometimes gets in JS books.
With the preamble to their story being the blurb of this book- let's get to the plot which was actually in it. Gavin Stone, our hero is the president of Lords of Chaos MC, and his biggest nemesis is Clyde Drexel with whom he has a long running rivalry for murdering his dad. Things take a turn when Clyde is killed, and his 18 year old daughter Chloe ends up in his MC, asking for protection. Initially hesitant and fueled by a vengeful mother, he soon takes her in and then realizes Clyde has made a will to fuck him from the grave. However, as attraction sparks between Chloe and Gavin, can he forget his past and make her his?
Honestly, sounds like a dark, gritty novel but its actually a short and sexy, low angst book. We have witty banter between the two crazy leads, overuse of the words fuck and ass, some dirty and kinky fucking, loads of puffy vags cured by sucking and further dicked more, and a sweet epilogue.
Stone, President of the Lords of Chaos MC, never in his life expected the daughter of the man who killed his father on his doorstep. Chloe knew she had to get help, her father sent a note to seek out Stone for protection before his death. Stone doesn't want to protect Chloe out of principal, but the man Stone is makes him step up. He should have the patient of a saint though when he realizes Chloe is all woman, one that he wants but if he makes her his, how will the others handle it.
Very entertaining. What I liked about this one is it was not an instant love connection, it was a slow build up. Loved Stone, he is gaga worthy. Liked Chloe, she has a bit of a chip on her shoulder buton once she begins to trust Stone she blossoms.
JS's books are kind of hit and miss for me and Biker's Law was pretty much a miss. The story line was decent but the flow was wrong with random pieces of seemingly important info being just thrown out in what felt like a haphazard way. This made for some plot holes that I think could have been avoided. The Hero that I just never did grow to like and the heroine who seemed a bit dense didn't help much helped make this a disappointing 3 star book at best.
Gavin Stone is the President of the Lords of Chaos MC in the small midwest town where he grew up. His Dad helped start the first MC in town many years ago with his best friend, Clyde Drexel. But Clyde double-crossed him and then murdered him. There was never enough evidence to convict him so he then became the President of the Jokers MC. Stone never even met his Dad because his Mom was still pregnant with him when he was killed. It's now 30 years later and Stone has heard his Mom say everything Clyde has should be theirs his whole life. Stone has had to deal with Clyde ever since he started the Lords and the two of them have never seen eye to eye on anything. Stone's MC doesn't deal in drugs or guns they have legitimate businesses and Clyde doesn't. When Clyde is murdered Stone is shocked when his only daughter turns up on Stone's doorstep looking for protection. Chloe Drexel was away at college when her Dad was killed and now his right hand man wants to marry her and take over the Jokers. Chloe is scared and she doesn't want to marry this awful man so she runs away. Before her Dad was killed he sent her a text saying if she ever needed help to go to Gavin Stone.
DNF @ 20% I recently read Biker's Baby Girl and was SUPER lost at the end when all these previous H’s took over the plot in a massive multi book crossover, and I was slightly interested in one of them, Lawson. I thought maybe this would be his book. I don’t think it is since this H’s name is Stone, but regardless I can’t push anymore.
The h drove me nuts. I think she’s supposed to be “feisty”, but I find her annoying AF. She basically goes to the H for help, her dad (who we’re led to believe killed the H’s dad) was murdered by his club and they’re after her, but instead of being nice or appreciative about it… she’s hostile, prickly, and mouthy.
Bottom Line- I’m assuming she’ll thaw, and we'll learn her dad wasn’t the bad guy, but this is only 100 pages and there is nothing going on… I’m bored.
Jordan Silver is BACK!!!!! I love love love loooooove this book so so much and this is what the book that make my body quivering with desire!!!
This book wasn't like WHAM-BANG-THANK YOU kind of book. This book wasn't insta-love either. But the romanticism was ah~~~~~~mazing!!!
I love how the hero talks. That was so much Jordan Silver's heroes should be. No nonsense. To the point with dirty-as-fvck mind. Are your panty melted yet?
Pssstt.... I love their love scenes, that was a love scenes that make you blush, make your cheek reddened, so please.... don't read it in public if you don't want to embarrass yourself. Damn if I don't fall in love with this dirty-romantic book!
Classic Jordan silver romantic erotica. He-man alpha head of an MC that doesn't sell or use drugs. He lives in a town with the other MC run by the man who his Mom says killed his Dad, so he has been working to do better, be better, than his enemy. When his enemy dies, the late enemy leaves the care of his 18 year old daughter and the MC to our hero. There are a lot of problems to work out, problems keeping her safe. There is an immediate attraction between the two, though the hero is about 10 years the girl's elder. I really like the main characters, I really like the hot scenes, and the twists of the plot kept my attention.
This was ok. There were so many mistakes, it was sometimes hard to read and the events in the story can’t really take place. Like the guys dad was murdered while his mom was pregnant and he’s almost 30. It says his dad was toying with online ordering?!?? If he’s almost 30 and this book was written in 2016, he was born late 80’s...sorry no online ordering during that time! Try mid 90’s. Also one part that I found disgusting in the book was this part below.
“I found some cream in the guest bathroom for my hoo-hah”
First who has cream for a “hoo-hah” in the guest room?ewww🤢 and second, who uses cream on THEIR “hoo-hah” that they found in the guest room? Double ewww!🤢
Another angst filled revenge story the way Jordan Silver likes to write. This is my second read of this book, but to be honest it wasn't one of the more memorable ones. Still, A good enough story to pass the time.
Gavin's dad was killed years ago, allegedly by Chloe's father. Now Chloe's father was killed recently and she seeks out Gavin to protect her from men from her father's MC who wants to marry her to take control of the MC. Lots of drama, lots of sex.
It was good in the way Jordan Silver can make it good. The h just wasn't super likable and the story was a little frenzied. I did enjoy it, just wish for more conversations, and wanted to feel more emotion. But good for a freebie especially if you like the author.
Jordan Silver is back to her typical OTT protective alpha male and feisty, sassy innocent female. After the last few she has written, this is back to her old style of writing. Loved it.
I never get tired of the stories this author writes. She added more dimension to this alpha character. I liked he didn't take shot and that he was taking what he wants. An enemy's daughter needs help he takes her in. He is attracted to her but he doesn't want more complications however that doesn't last long. Overall emotions were interesting and the characters were cool.
Stone's life is turned upside down when his enemy sends his daughter to him for protection. Chloe finds a letter her father left that told her if anything happened to him to seek out Stone. When the will left by her father states that he marries his daughter and gets is estate will have his enemies coming for his daughter! Will Stone and his MC be able to keep her safe and will they get their chance for a happily ever after. This story kept me glued to the pages!
Another steamy read from Jordan filled with sexy alpha bikers who take no shit and are very protective of what is theirs especially their women. Oh and don't forget the sassy and curvy women who steal the hearts of these bikers. Stone has a plan to avenge his fathers murder, but Chloe was never part of the plan. But now that she is in his life he knows he will never let her go. Can't wait to see what's next!
Not great writing. It was rushed and the writing style was very novice. Not easy to get sucked into. There was a ton of repetition and I had to skip a bunch of paragraphs to move the story along. The sex was hot but fast and rushed. The very end was the best but it was too rushed. Prgency kink. 3.5/5.
First Jordan Silver I've read and I gotta say I enjoyed being in Stone's head. He was funny and I laughed at his self talking repetitive vocab. He kept it going for me but I gotta say, big age disparities which seem to be a common theme running through Silvers books ain't my thing but if its yours, go for it.
Sure! Help a female in distress! So far Jordan Silver's books have been fun and interesting to read. It is always fun to see how two characters from totally opposite background ends up together. The other elements that added to the story are great!!! Looking forward to the next book.
Enemies to lovers... this book does this genre better than most! The H is hard and mad but only for a minute lol I love that he doesn’t act a fool for 90% of the book treating the h like trash and letting others do the same like so many in this genre do. This book has heart and heat and a whole lot of action<3
Gotta love men with a filthy mouth. Especially a hard nosed biker who lives up to that filthy mouth !! This book was very entertaining and I look forward reading more of JS's work.
So this is my first time reading this book. I skipped it when it premiered because I typically don't like enemy's to lover's romance. I am pleased to announce that I loved this story! An excellent addition to my Jordan Silver collection.
I liked this one - not a fan of younger and older themes (which appears to be a common in authors books…e.g 18 y heroine and a much older man - unclear how old hero is here but I would say mid to late 30s) but I didn’t mind this one. Even giggled a few times. Would read another from this series
