received the arc and i am only at 30% of the book, i already felt like pulling my hair. after forcing myself to fucking finish the book, below are my comments.

chapter 3:
i certainly don't mind the vivid mental images of pounding water dripping off ethan's naked body.
still, i should say no.
when i open my mouth to speak, words refuse to fall. i don't say no, that's okay. or actually i'm going somewhere out of the way.
instead, i press my lips together, and i nod yes.

chapter 4:

Stupid, weak heroines are overrated in my books. And one who can't say NO??? Please. And in one of excerpts the heroine stated (view spoiler) And she still can't say NO to any of his invitations?? And I saw the book has 358 pages. Shocking face now. Not ever reading this.

I was listening to this book via audio and absolutely hated how it was narrated. Maybe if I had read this book then it may have had a different review

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 winecorks
Dude: He’s not selfish when it counts *wink*
Heroine: Not all of us outgrow our emo phase
Steaminess: I think the bus windows fogged up...
Emotional: Hug your brothers tight

This rockstar romance is just what your heart needs. Especially if you love emo but strong female characters and men who wear eyeliner and rock tattoos. The writing is strong and emotions it evokes will have you hugging your siblings and falling a little bit in love with a boy and his guitar

This is was an entertaining rock star second chance romance. Although I didn't love this book, it still captivated me and kept me reading until the end. I enjoyed the characters, but found their initial break up difficult to believe. It just didn't really make sense or have much emotional impact. I understand why it happened, but there was no build up or investment in the characters yet, so it all just felt rushed and unbelievable. Since the entire book was based off of the aftermath of this bre ...more

This is a spin-off of Crystal’s other rock star series, Sinful Serenade. Even though, the Sinful guys do make appearances in this series too, it’s not necessary to read their stories too. Each of the four main books in this series are standalones. However, the entire series involve all the members of the Dangerous Noise band and thu

Loved it. Loved. It.

This was my first Crystal book, and I'm completely hooked on her rock star romance.

This was a "true love" story, and it was just so endearing. I could feel the young love between Violet and Ethan in the prologue, and then felt it when the love shattered, but then I felt elation at learning how much they each still loved the other. They had a history and knew each other well, and that added a really cool element to the story. Reading how they found their way back to one anoth

This is a great rockstar meets second chance romance but it did take me a little time to get into the story. Violet is a very intelligent woman that is going for her Masters Degree in Mathematics at NYU, Ethan is the lead guitarist or the rock band Dangerous Noise. What grabbed me was learning about the past events in Violet’s life and how it had such an impact on her lifestyle today. I love being on tour with the band and at the same time we get the

I was bored out of my mind. The constant "I know I should say no yet my mouth can't seem to obey so I say yes" from the h was soooooo annoying. I didn't like her at all. Even the H wasn't very likeable.
Frankly, nothing is happening in this book and the audio version is 8.5 hours long... it would be a very long time to be bored. Better stop now then.

Three days ago I chose this book because I really wanted to read Rock Star novel. I've red a lot of boss/employee or sports romance novels th

Recommends it for: Everyone
I'm a huge Crystal Kaswell fan. I fell in love with her Sinful Serenade books, so when I found out she was writing books based on Dangerous Noise, I was over the moon. This book has steam, it has tension, it has drama, and it had my emotions all over the place. The relationship between Ethan & Violet was all over the place. I liked how the author switched the view points so we could see the struggle from both sides. Some of the battles that these two overcame were so typical to most couples – we ...more

It was a fun read, but I seriously don't get why it was such a big deal to either of them that she was going to get her Master's or that he was going away FOR THE DAY to play a show. Like, REALLY, you two? Come on. Unnecessary drama.

Also, speaking of unnecessary drama, the whole backstory of Asher felt like a plot point of convenience. The whole book would've existed just fine without it. I don't feel like it added anything.

(But, I kept reading, and will read the sequels, so...)

Loved Ethan and Violet. Their love is a second chance story that is fierce and so strong. They were supposed to stay together forever, but when Violet goes away to school, Ethan becomes a famous guitarist. Neither one of them has forgotten the other over the years and when they come back together, it's like no time has passed between them. With Violet helping the band, they have no choice but to spend time together again. Will they be able to make it this time?

I loved how straight forward this couple were, to everyone else, but each other. I found it an exciting read and can't wait who's next. I hope it's Joel, cuz kinds of crazy.

This book was just awful. There was no real story, the characters were childish and immature and all they did was have sex or think about themselves having sex, all of which was printed, complete overkill and not a turn on at all. How this has got such great reviews is beyond me!!
20% DNF. No rating. Violet was whiny and slightly annoying.

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.*

I wanted to like this book, I really did, I just couldn't get into the characters. Ethan I disliked from the very beginning, while I felt for Violet. Maybe I want a fairytale instead of real life, but I'd like to think that two people who are really, truly in love are willing to do whatever it takes to make their relationship work. Ethan was completely unwilling. Violet got accepted into a Master's program, which meant that she wasn't

The story of lead guitarist Ethan and goth maths student Violet is a second chance romance, not really my favourite thing hence only three stars but it was good.

I liked Violet. She was strong and clever and was no blushing virgin. It always peeves me though that during breakups the guy fucks everything warm and the girl has one luke warm committed relationship. Just always feels a bit like the old double standard view of sex. That aside Violet was cool and I liked her love of goth make up, sci

5 Electrified Guitars for Dangerous Kiss

I read all of the Sinful Serenade books, and I liked them all, and would recommend them to all my rockstar loving girls, but Dangerous Kiss really pushed me over the edge. Something about Ethan and Violet just really spoke to me in a way no other rockstar romance has in a while. I don't think it's simply the guitarist and second chance combo platter that I particularly swoon for - you basically get that with Kara and Drew in their Sinful story (btw, nice t

When I first saw that The Dangerous Noise guys were getting their own series I was excited...this was the first book to the series and it was really great. I love second chance romances and if you add in a rock star...yes please!

Ethan and Violet are a great pairing and I absolutely loved the Garbage songs as a backdrop to their relationship. I’m a huge fan of the band Garbage so I really loved seeing their music intertwined into this love story. There wasn’t really any angst or drama which I lov

Ethan and Violet used to date. He freaked out when she got into a masters program after the death of her twin brother. Basically both were grieving and over reacted to a very simple situation.

Being an audiobook listener and not reading often, I have been waiting for Crystal Kaswell to hopefully put out a book on audio! I am so excited that this was the first one put out, it was so good! I love rock band stories, and this one, coupled with another of my favorites, second chance romance was the perfect story for me. Violet and Ethan were together for 3 years, but when it was time for Violet to go to graduate school, things didn't work out. When several years later they met up again, th ...more

The following quotes by Violet is what this book is all about. The author changes it up a bit but this is the premise of this story. I want to duct tape Violet's mouth by the time I was 60% into the book.

"This is where Ethan belongs. He doesn't belong with me. Don't get me wrong . I'm selfish enough I'd take him. But we both know he would never choose me over music."

"I wanted him to care about my dreams as much as I cared about his. But he didn't. He threw me away. I can't take him th
This is the first book I have read by Crystal Kaswell. I was instantly drawn in by the phenomenal duet narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. It also happened to be the first book I have listened to where they narrate with each other (crazy right) They have a huge library of books they have done together but i have only listened to them separately. I understand why they have the library they do, they are smoking hot together! The duet narration was also a very enjoyable way to listen to this s ...more

The charismatic guitarist of the group has a reputation for hitting it and quitting it ever since his heart was broken by a Goth beauty. It's been 2 years he should be over it by now right?
