The cookbook that makes using your Instant Pot easier than ever!
This is the must-have cookbook for the must-have appliance—the Instant Pot!
The Instant Pot has been taking the culinary world by storm—and for good reason. It can speed up cooking by almost six times while using seventy percent less energy than traditional cooking methods.
The “I Love My Instant Pot” Recipe Book features delicious and healthy recipes for the Instant Pot, including Bacony Poblano Hashbrowns, Moroccan Lamb Stew, Bourbon Barbeque Chicken Thighs, and Double Chocolate Cheesecake.
The Instant Pot is the only gadget that can replace a slow cooker, rice cooker, and stockpot, and this is the only cookbook with 175 recipes, including more than 30 paleo and gluten-free recipes, for this device. You will love this collection of breakfasts, sides, soups, appetizers, main dishes, and desserts—instantly!
The “I Love My Instant Pot” Recipe Book is written by Michelle Fagone, the blogger of CavegirlCuisine.com. It contains 175 recipes that cover everything from breakfast to dessert, and features some specialized recipes for vegetarian, paleo and gluten-free diets. In addition to recipes, the book contains some information on Instant Pot features for those who may not be very familiar with how an Instant Pot works.
The recipes are broken up into groups such as “Chicken Main Dishes” and “Beef and Pork Main Dishes” so it is easy to pinpoint a recipe based on what you are in the mood for. There is enough variety that everyone should find something that they would like to try.
The only negative is that I would have liked to see more pictures accompanying the recipes. Sometimes a good picture of a dish is what convinces me to go ahead and make it.
The book has just a tiny bit of information on how to use the instant pot and is mostly just recipes. There were not pictures of the foods with each recipe so if you are into seeing how it should look you won't find that here. The recipes all seem sound and I found a lot that I would like to try. They also have them marked if they are gluten free or paleo so if you follow either of those diets you will find some of the recipes are acceptable, but not all. This book is not marketed as a gluten free or paleo cook book. The only thing I didn't like about the book but didn't mark down was that some of the recipes call for using a glass 7 cup bowl, and from everything I have read we are not supposed to use glass only silicon and metal in the pressure cookers. She also never stated what brand this might be that she is successful at using in the pressure cooker. I suppose any of those recipes I would just stick to my metal pans rather than risk wasting food if something breaks.
I checked out several Instant Pot books from the library as I received an Instant Pot for Christmas and I am loving it. I am looking for simple healthy meals for breakfast and dinner that I can make on days when the kids are busy with activities.
This was the best book that I checked out by far. I am definitely going to consider buying this book. At first glance, I found 6 recipes that I wanted to try and I am going to go through it more thoroughly a second time. Recipes I tagged were:
Nuts and Fruits Oatmeal Banana and Nut Oatmeal Trail Mix Oatmeal Peachy Cream Oats Loaded Potato Soap Easy Pesto Chicken and Red Potatoes
There’s a lot to like about this book. For example most recipes are made in 30 minutes or less, the recipes are composed of ingredients you can actually find, there’s a veggie mains chapter which is great for me because my partner is vegetarian, and each recipe includes a photo.
There’s a few things I don’t like about this book. Among them calorie counts are absent from this collection, and although the author made her name by creating an award winning paleo blog, there are only a handful of paleo recipes included here.
I love my instant pot and use it most days to prepare meals. How did we ever cook without it. These books give us a guide to the whole world of cooking and doing it in a short period of time. I remember when my Mother purchased a pressure cooker and the first that happened was the meal was on the ceiling. This book will help you cook with so much safety and produce such good food. The ingredients are available locally and the instruction are clear and easy to follow.
Nice mix of recipes. I got this book from the library and just added it to my to-buy list. I don't have an instant pot yet, but I've heard good things about the efficiency. Who wouldn't want to get dinner on the table quicker? I bookmarked at least 20 recipes in this book and can't wait to start trying them.
Not a lot different than most Instant Pot cookbooks, but I liked the lentil recipes and the directions for hard boiled eggs. Most of the recipes didn't include salt, leaving the finished product very bland.
A fair amount of good recipes, but a number of the recipes were less complicated without using an instant pot. That being said, I'll never make my oatmeal any other way.
It’s a good book with many recipes. I have taken some and just made them no need for the instant pot. Easy to read format. A good 5 that tickle my fancy to make soon.
Nothing groundbreaking recipe wise, but I did like how each recipe was clearly labeled as paleo or gluten-free. also the section on accessories to buy for the IP is great.
