An interesting and enlightening story of a man who dedicated his life to God and during his life and even after death touched so many people which eventually lead to him being canonized a Saint
So inspiring!! A wonderful book on such a holy saint! He’s so underrated and the miracles attributed him are in the thousands… so much healing from him because how selflessly he lived his life on earth. All for Jesus!
The story of Saint Charbel is a story of a man who took up his mantle as a Saint from a young age. He didn't deviate, but entered into such a deep relationship with God that he put aside the outside world. He has had thousands of miracles in his name. His story is so inspiring. I wish there were a better translation of this book. The book needs a lot of editing but the spirit of the author pokes through.
The Lord constantly raises up people like St Charbel in order to stir and stimulate us to follow the demanding, but fulfilling, way of Jesus Christ. In more recent times we have had the inspiring lives of St John Paul II, St Teresa of Calcutta, St Pio of Pietrelcins, and - very recently - St Carlo Acutis, St PierGiorgio Frassati and St Peter To Rot (New Guinea). If only the world knew where real happiness lies !
This was a pretty good book. I am glad i could pay some respect and honor this saint for a short while. The book is medium length kind of short compared to classics. I think anyone could enjoy it :)
A helpful introductory to an important and powerful saint in the church. The book mainly suffers from being a slight hagiography, and being a poor translation at points.
