In her book, "UNDERTOW: A U.S. NAVY VETERAN'S JOURNEY THROUGH MILITARY SEXUAL TRAUMA", Diane Madden Ferguson describes her experiences of sexual trauma and injustice during her time served in the U.S. Navy. I admire her courage and strength to share her story, to try to prevent the same injustice from being done to other women and for being the survivor that she was and is. A compelling and emotional read. This was a Goodreads first reads book I received in exchange for my honest review.

Where trust is broken, faith is shaken and dreams are shattered, the ocean of life threatens to swallow us

Diane writes a traumatizing story and does it with grace. An important read for all military. Also for husbands, brothers, fathers and any other family or friendships that interact with the victims.
