Honestly.. I don't know what to think of this book. I liked it but I didn't love it.
Carmen is very strange to me. Every character in this book is strange. It seems as though no one really cares that her husband is dead.
I am going to read book 2 to try and make sense of it!

Loretta Lost - End of Eternity #1

Enjoyment quantity :: 5 stars
Literature quality :: 5+++ stars

“You were his responsibility... but she was his passion."

1st POV. Mediocre dark. Suicide. Pregnancy. Emotional writing. A bit paranormal or head trip. Lots quote worthy phrase. Con artist, mind fuck. Tragedies.

Something in the bookcover just rubbed me wrong. The eye expression is perfect, like bearing a really hurting heart but instead to choose keep going. Nothing wrong with that, but the eyes make-up!

I really liked the clarity books so I thought I would really like this spin off series. Turns out I really don't like Carmen. I tried to like her but she doesn't have the same sort of underlying spunk that Helen did.

Carmen is going through a lot in this book with the death of Grayson and Helen's accident. She also has to deal with her father and Grayson's friend Brad, who seems as sleazy as Grayson. There is also a burgeoning relationship with Owen which is weird considering his former devotion

I'm not the type to not finish a series. I read this book because it's basically a continuation of her Clarity books to an extent. Also, I really love Owen. That being said, Loretta has Lost me. I don't think I'll ever read another one of her books.
This books wasn't horrible or anything, but it just doesn't quite cut it for me and I can't see spending $3.99 per book for 3 more books. Maybe if they were free, in that case I probably would.

I'm sorry I wasted my time reading this book when I could have spent it reading a book with some substance and better, more realistic characters and plot line. Not for me.

Holy wowzers. Loretta Lost just doesn't let up.
"End of Eternity", the spin-off to the "Clarity" series is just as breath-takingly good. It's the type of story that will make you laugh as it is laced with dark humour and sarcasm. It will make you gasp for air like a fish out of water was it is full of heart-breaking situations and twists and turns that will make you dizzy. It will make you swoon because of the awesomeness of the characters. It will make you ache, cry, burn and fall in love. It'll

"I would almost rather spend time alone with the voices in my head than with any men made from flesh and blood."

I was extremely sad when I finished Clarity by Loretta Lost. I absolutely loved that series and was excited to learn that End of Eternity is another series that features the same characters from Clarity. The only difference is, is that End of Eternity is Carmen's story, while Clarity is Helen's.

This books picks up after the hanging in Clarity book 3. Carmen is all shook up at the sight

I am a HUGE fan of Loretta Lost, so I was really excited to read this one! First ... I have to tell you all that while this *can* be a stand alone novel, I would recommend you read *all* the Clarity novels first, since this is a continuation of those books. A well-needed continuation !!!

Carmen's husband has committed suicide, and she is very pregnant. Afterwards she starts finding things out about her husband and she realizes that she never really knew him and her world is turned upside down. Wi

Arg I did it again, when will I learn? In case your confused, I'm talking about how Loretta Lost wrote another great book, with a cliffhanger ending and I don't have the money to get the next book. That ending though... Just knowing that it was a Loretta Lost book I requested to review it without even checking out the description, I knew it would be a great one. What I didn't realize was that it was already free on Amazon, so those of you who are reading it, get it before its gone. Secondly, thi ...more

Walking in on your husband’s lifeless, post suicide body swaying in the breeze of the open door is bad enough, but pregnant Carmen now has to deal with both the funeral and her sister’s car accident on the same day - as well as take care of her father while he deals with her sister’s crash as well. Can she navigate the stress as well as the obvious attempts of the men in her life to soothe a grieving widow?

I was intrigued by the idea of an inner monologue for someone experiencing life that incl

So Bizarre - It must be true
I finished the psychological thriller End of Eternity: Book One by Loretta Lost last week. This book with its impeccable proofreading, and editing was filled with uncertainty, fear, and a vast array of complicated emotions. I must admit that my first impression of this literary house of mirrors was completely wrong. The cover made me think, "Oh, another hot romantic, knight in shining armor, girl book." Wow, once I started reading this twisting, turning, complexly wov

The End Of Eternity is part of a serious of books written by Loretta Lost. I was automatically drawn in to Carmen's life. I wanted to know all the details of the mystery surrounding her husbands death. The details in the writing are fantastic and allow you to visualize what's happening.
I feel that Carmen is losing her sanity. I understand her distress with all she has lost. That comes across really well in the writing. Her distress leads her to do some really dumb things because she is not think

End of Eternity starts where the Clarity series ends. Clarity is about Helen and Eternity is about her sister Carmen.

Carmen is 6 months pregnant when she comes home to find Grayson, her husband hanging from the chandelier. While trying to deal with his death she keeps hearing Grayson in her head saying awful things to her. Why should he be any different in death.

Loretta has done it again by writing a story that grips you from the first page, satisfies you throughout, and leaves you wanting more

The writing of Loretta is flawless as ever! I enjoyed this book immensely and read it in a few hours. I recommend that you read the prequel to this series, Clarity which brings more insight into Grayson's tragic death.
Now, on to the review...

The book starts when Carmen walks in on Grayson after he has died.

Predictable, but a good escape read.

This picks up where the 1st book ended. More sadness and tragedy for the family. Hard truths are revealed, because of the tragedy. This series reminds me a bit of V. C. Andrews early writings.

I received this book as a gift and read it without knowing anything about it...the only way I can describe this is a train wreck - it is so disturbing you want to turn away but so intriguing that you just can't. I still haven't decided if that is a good or bad thing. I loved the writing style and the author's ability to completey suck me in but some of it was so dark and twisted I felt like I really should just put it down. However, I didn't, I read it all...in 1 sitting. And whether I want to o ...more

How can the one person you hate you so much

Carmen's husband has committed suicide and her sister has been in an car accident. Carmen learn more about her evil husband Grayson she learns more about him now that he is gone. Who is telling the truth? Can she believe all the stories she still loves him even though he destroyed her sister. Is Grayson going to destroy her as well. Some really dark issues but it made for a good read.

Disturbing read

Spoilers Ahead.

Couldn't relate with this book. The storyline was a bit disturbing. Just weird.. The worst part was the heroin was pregnant. A women who married a mentally ill person who didn't loved her but only married her to get close to her blind sister whom he loved. Then he killed himself. Flipped the pages after I got tired of her talking to her dead husband. Don't waste your time.

We get to see and know Carmen at her most vulnerable and her view of the situation of Grayson's death and more on her family.

Am looking forward to the next installment in this series and more on Helen as well!

I loved this book. I thought the blurb about it sounded good but I did not expect to like it as much as I did. I could not put it down. It was a non-stop, crazy roller coaster and I don't think that will change with the second book. I am dying to know where this story will lead and what will happen to Carmen. I am really rooting for Owen being a good guy, but in this story, I have no idea what will happen. I immediately recommended this to my best friend.

A series about love and marriage with devastating twists.

I chose this rating because there was no end, nothing was really settled and I didn't like it well enough to get another book in the series.

I've never been a huge fan of Carmen, but it was interesting to see a book from her perspective.

There were a few times where it dragged slightly for me, but it wasn't a bad read.

Overall, An okay read.
