Sissy's Romance Book Review
'Real Earls Break the Rules' by Tina Gabrielle is book two in "The Infamous Somertons" series. This is the story of Brandon St. Clair, the Earl of Vale and Amelia Somerton. I have read the previous book 'An Artful Seduction' but feel this is easily a standalone book. Brandon and Amelia had met briefly in the previous book but that was touched on in here too. Brandon has taken over the being Earl of Vale from his father but has found the title holds little money for his family. So Brandon is tryi ...more

I found Miss Amelia Somerton and Brandon, the Earl of Vale charming and delightful together. The romance between them developed nicely, had the right blend of sweetness and sensuality, and was quite believable. Ms. Gabrielle’s writing is also wonderful and she hooked me from the first chapter until the very end. Brandon was honorable with the right amount of scoundrel thrown in, which allowed him to steal kisses from Amelia and seducing her. Amelia was a wonderful heroine, I enjoyed her passion ...more

What an amazing second book of the series. And I would definitely recommend this book as well as this author to any historical romance lover.
Amelia Somerton is the daughter of the infamous forger of the ton. But more then that she has the same lust for painting that her father had. She has also sold a forgery once in the past. Now that she and her sisters have a new life due to her sisters marriage to a member of the ton, they are working towards being respectable members of the ton. But when A

Real Earls Break the Rules ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐by Tina Gabrielle

This book is a revisit to the Somerton ladies. Ms Gabrielle first introduced us to the ladies in her earlier novel An Artful Seduction.

This story was also a delight. When Brandon St. Clair, the Earl of Vale first met Amelia Somerton she was working in a print shop and he was just so intrigued by her. Amelia's sister marries the Earl of Huntingdon, Brandon's closest friend and Brandon invites the whole family for a stay in his country estate Rosehi

Great characters, sizzling chemistry

4 stars+
After reading this, my first Tina Gabrielle book, I immediately ordered the rest of the series.
The story is easily an enjoyable standalone.

The author does a wonderful job of luring the reader into the Amelia's family. I would wager that many new readers will find themselves wanting to read her sisters' stories as well.

Obviously I found the female characters engrossing. The hero was equally entrancing.

The tension between the two lovers kept me enthrall

Amelia's real passion is art. She desired to be trained by the very best in England. If only she was not a woman. She knows that she can copy another artist’s work and it is able to pass, because this is what she did for her family live before her oldest sister married. Afterall, she learned this deception art from her father. But now, she really wants to be

It's an interesting story. Earl of Vale is need of wealthy heiress. That's the only way he can save his family's estate and title but then he falls for a daughter of a forger. He can't marry Amelia. So he just needs to focus on getting his painting done. May be if he is able to make a profit from any of his late father's projects things will be better. But that seems very unlikely.
Amelia finds Lord Vale very attractive. When he approached her with an offer she couldn't possibly refuse, she decid

Amelia Somerton is an artist and daughter of a forger. Luckily since her sister married Lord Huntington they no longer have to worry about money or staying out of trouble. The one thing Amelia would love is to be able to sign her real name to her paintings, but the subject matter of her work might upset the "ton" and that could bring censure on her sisters. She is a very strong minded and independent woman.

Thoroughly satisfying romance

This was a thoroughly satisfying romance that was filled with passion and love. Amelia and Brandon were wonderful together and I could feel their attraction to each other with every encounter. The dilemma that Brandon found himself in because of his father's debts had my heart going out to him and I felt his anguish over his situation. The way it turned out in the end had me cheering because Brandon was a hero so deserving of a happy ending with the woman he loved. T

ARC Review: Real Earls Break The Rules (Infamous Somertons) by Tina Gabrielle

I love romance, particularly historical romance. The majestic beauty of the time period brings to life that fabled fantasy of star crossed lovers and fairytale magic. Ms. Gabrielle took a stab at throwing in some wicked deception and forbidden attraction as the perfect lure for an intricate dance of love. Real Earls Break The Rules appeals to the senses in that it stirs up emotions quickly and paints a vivid picture of

It the old formula of man needs fortune to keep his estate but does not want to marry for it. Brandon is torn between his duty and love (of course he does not realize it is love until much later). Amelia is just lovely as the painter who only wants to make a name for herself not use someone else’s name. Both of these characters are genuinely nice people caught up in the rat race of money versus love. And oh the sexy parts. How are Brandon and Amelia going to get their HEA? Read and see.

I received a free book and voluntarily chose to review it. The Earl needs money and he chooses not be marry a dowry. My strong woman stays very strong until she is offered something that she really wants and it isn’t money. This is a lovely romance and I really enjoyed the book.

This was a wonderful story of society and wealthy people who think they can manipulate the less fortunate to get what they want! The duchess overplayed her hand and that daughter of hers was humiliated. I can't wait for Chloe story.

(2016) An earl falls in love with the daughter of a famous forger. He engages her to copy a famous painting, as well as paint his portrait during a country party at his estate. Sparks fly. Love ensues. what to do as it all violates the rules? The outcome is sure, but so much fun getting there!

This was a quick good romance. I liked both characters and the premise of her being an artist. Also thought the author did a good job explaining the plights of out hero Brandon trying to clean up the complete mess of his estate that his father left him. Good steam, sweet romance. Recommend.

Real Earls Break the Rules is the second book in the 'Infamous Somertons' series by Tina Gabrielle. I haven't read the first book, and can happily say that it didn't matter in the slightest when it came to following this story and it's characters.

Ever since Brandon Sinclair took on the role of Earl of Vale, he has had to deal with trying to deal with all the debt that his father left upon his death. In order to give himself some breathing space he wants to sell one of the family's sought after p

All Amelia wanted to do was paint and be recognized for her own work by signing her own name. But in England in 1815 women weren't allowed the opportunity to do that or own a shop without it looking poorly on their family (in addition to people paying less for a painting by a woman regardless of the exquisite quality), so she was forced to sign under a false male name. Especially since her father is a known forger, and she can paint as well as he can.

I received an early copy of this for a fair and honest review.

This book was a slow burn type of book but when it started to pick up, it became better. I liked how the hero had Alpha tendency and I wish that would have been more prevalent than was ( I like a somewhat forceful hero) the heroine was likable enough. Amelia is the daughter of a forger Brandon is a lord in debt through no fault of his own. Which means he must marry a wealthy heiress in the form of an air headed Dukes daughter. But the

The 2nd in the series, this is Amelia's story - the middle sister of the 3 siblings. I liked Amelia from the 1st book. Amazingly artistic, Amelia dreams of the day that she can openly claim credit for her art instead of having to hide behind a male pseudonym.

After Eliza, the oldest marries her Earl, they are no longer in desperate situations as before & Eliza is determined that they will be respectable & make good marriages. Amelia however longs to pursue her love of art. While attending

I should begin by saying that while this book was not a terrible read it just failed to draw me in and keep me interested with every turn of the page. I found the story lacking in the ability to effectively grip me.

The premise is alright - Lord Vale is in an immense amount of debt that he inherited and so he's set out to marry a wealthy heiress to help bring the estate back to its glory. He is also known to have his way with the ladies and some years ago had a dealing with Amelia Somerton. Amel

Real Earls Break the rules by Tina Gabrielle is Book 2 in her "Infamous Somerton", series, but can be read as a stand alone. Ms. Gabrielle never fails to amaze and entice me with her stories of love, sin, and seduction.

"Real Earls Break the Rules" by Tina Gabrielle. Here we have Amelia and Brandon. Despite their extreme attraction, they really "shouldn't be". Amelia is working hard to overcome adversity and make it on her own as an established artist. Brandon, an Earl, makes her an offer she finds hard to refuse. This is an enjoyable read that has characters I liked and a story that was intriguing. I received a free copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I quite liked both Amelia and Brandon as the main characters. Amelia is very honest and open with herself and others as to what she desires, even if it is unconventional for the time period. Brandon is an honest man, who puts honour before greed, despite being left cash-strapped and in debt by his father. That being said, clearly the struggle with finances is going to be the barrier to their union. The author's choice of how
