Shifter Date #1

Must Love Lions

Rate this book
Alexis Parrish is very single. Sassy and smart, she's great at her job as a journalist, but it's never given her the time to find the right man--specifically, a human. So when she gets assigned to interview Max, a lion shifter, about the new dating app he's created, she can't believe her intense attraction to him. After all, humans and shifters don't date.

Max is used to causing trouble. He broke tradition by creating the dating app, Shifter, which humans and shifters alike can use to answer the call of the wild.

When Max challenges Alexis to give him a chance, she can't say no. A human like her has no business with this handsome alpha lion, but she can't resist his magnetism. Their chemistry is primal, their connection positively animalistic. After all, once you go shifter, you never go back.

But when a rogue shifter group against interspecies dating targets Alexis, Max will stop at nothing to protect her. It's more than his pride on the line; it's his mate.

Warning: If sassy, sexy, and carnal reads aren't your thing, this book isn't for you. It contains lots of dirty sex, violence, and witty banter.

Love is love. Max, an alpha lion shifter, believes that with every fiber of his being. That’s why he created a dating app called Shifter. It’s an app where a human can fill out a form and find their perfect shifter match. Relationships between shifters and humans are extremely taboo, but Max thinks it’s time for that to change. He believes the app will help break down the walls between the two species.

Alexis is a journalist that has been assigned to interview Max about Shifter and his controversial viewpoint. She is far from convinced that shifters and humans should mix. In fact, she is flat out against it. Despite that, there is no denying her intense attraction to him. After some convincing from Max, Alexis agrees to go on one date with him to see if he can prove to her that they aren’t all that different from one another.

”Love wanted what love wanted, and it didn’t give a shit about gender, race, or species. Lust was the same. He desired Alexis, and if Max was human, he’d be willing to bet nothing would have stopped them from tearing each other’s close off and going at it in his office. Right here. Right now.”

Will Max show Alexis that shifters and humans are compatible? Will their differences be harder to overcome than Max realizes? Will their coupling anger the wrong people?

Though I am a big fan of shifter romances, I have never read one with a lion shifter as a main character, so I was excited to give this novella a try. Shifter Date: Must Love Lions is a light, steamy paranormal romance with a healthy does of action on the side. This isn’t one of those short stories mostly made up of sex scenes. The plot focuses not only on the budding romance between Max and Alexis, but also the prejudice and obstacles they are up against.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. Max is sexy, open-minded, and witty. Alexis is beautiful, smart, and sassy. In the beginning, I found her judgmental and close minded, but she changes her way thinking as the story progresses. The plot held my interest, and the author’s writing style made this easy to read in one sitting. However, I never felt a strong connection between the characters, and the pacing felt off at times. There was also a part thrown in at the end to create conflict that kind of makes you question if they really are too different to maintain a relationship. Later, it is seemingly forgotten about after the heroine’s life is threatened. The issue isn’t addressed further, and that just didn’t sit well with me. For those reasons, I can’t rate this higher than three stars. That being said, I would still read another book by this author. If you are looking for a short, light, sexy paranormal read, you might want to give this one a try.

description

This was a short, light and hot paranormal romance story. I don't read as much paranormal romance books as I did in the past, but the blurb of this book sounded good and I wanted to give it a try.

This book starts off with Alexis, who is assigned to interview Max, a lion shifter, about the new inter-species dating app he created. Inter-species dating is pretty taboo but Max wants to tap into a new market. He is very open-minded and thinks love is love, and that it doesn't matter if you are human or shifter. Alexis has her own opinion about this and thinks everyone should date their own kind. However when she meets Max for the first time, it is obvious that both feel chemistry between them. Alexis tries to hide her feelings and resist but eventually gives in, but who can blame her? Max is one sexy lion shifter, that I wouldn't mind dating either.

The author added a mystery/suspense element to the story, which I thought was a smart way to elevate the story. I also liked the writing of the author, and found it easy to read. I really enjoyed reading about Max and Alexis and how they navigated in each other's worlds. The reason I gave this book three stars was because of the length. I rarely give short reads/novellas higher than three stars, because it is very difficult for me to fully connect with the characters. That was the case for this book as well, I needed more development for the characters both as individuals and as a couple. However, I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

"Love is dangerous. And wild. And spectacular."

Max is the leading alpha of the Pride and the maker of "Shifter Date", a dating app that matches humans with shifters. He is threading new waters with this move, since normally this isn't acceptable and even though humans know about their existance, they don't match with each other. But Max is thinking out of the box and wants to see if he can convince others as well.

There comes Alexis, a journalist that doesn't like or approve relationships between shifters and humans, but she has been ordered to take an interview by the maker of this new dating app and that's how she meets Max. The sexy shifter who challenges her to think otherwise, when she seems so against the wole idea.

"He didn't understand why no one else saw things the way he did. Love wanted what love wanted, and it didn't give a shit about gender, race or species. Lust was the same. He desired Alexis, and if Max was human, he'd be willing to be nothing would have stopped them from tearing each other's clothes off and going at it in his office. Right here. Right now."

I'm not really used in shifter romance to be honest, apart from vampires & werewolves, I definitely hadn't read about a lion shifter, so when I was approached to read and review this story at first I was a little hesitant, but I was also intrigued by the synopsis.

I loved the writing, the characters and the plot. Admittedly, I think there was a lot of potential and it could be explored furthermore, since there were many aspects that had me invested and I wanted to see more of them, like the Pride, his relationship with his parents, this new shifter who wanted him. I expected more 'drama' maybe or at least just a little bit more of everything. I know it was a small book and maybe that's why it felt that way, but I do believe there was plenty of potential that wasn't used sadly.

Still, I believe that this was a great work and it definitely didn't seem like a debut author writing this. If you like paranormal/ shifter romance stories, with lots of sexual tension and steamy scenes and also a great dosage of adventure, then this is a book you should give a chance to read. Congrats on your debut work, Alma! I'm looking forward to reading more by you!

PS: How awesome is the fact that Shifter Date is also a real site?? I had the quiz and my result was Dragon Shifters! Check it ou: https://www.shifterdate.com

He’s big. He’s gorgeous. He’s every woman’s dream. He only has one flaw, he is a lion shifter and to most humans, that makes him taboo. It also makes him a target for human journalist, Alexis Parrish, a firm believer in keeping the races separate who wants to skewer him in an expose interview.

Max is an alpha shifter, a rebel and champions the cause of inter-species dating with his new shifter dating app. Easy to use, humans and shifters can add their profile and view the profiles of possible dates or mates. Too bad Max’s app is considered almost blasphemy to the purist humans and shifters alike.

Alexis had no idea what effect Max would have on her heart, her libido and her once staunch stand as he challenges her to do a full investigation on inter-species dating...by going out with him. Seriously? And she fell for that? Let’s just say the term hook, line and sinker pretty much describes how both Max and Alexis fall in love. Will the world allow them a chance at real love and happiness or will the small minds and non-existent hearts do anything to prevent Cupid’s arrow from its magic?

Shifter Date: Must Love Lions by Alma Black is spicy, sexy, funny and just all around fabulous reading! Two strong souls discover that love is love and it shouldn’t matter what the world thinks. A very quick read, there was so much to love and yet, I wanted more, more, MORE! That is fabulous this author writes! Grab the ice water, you may need it to cool down!

Last month I was added to the Book Blogger List, and since then I’ve had so many amazing books sent my way. Some would say too many books. Honestly, my list is so long. It’s rather silly, actually. Not that such a thing is deterring me. The opposite in fact, as it’s allowing me to find many new authors I’m really enjoying.

Shifter Date: Must Love Lions by Alma Black is one such read. I’d planned to read it next week, yet my Kindle had a bit of a mental breakdown last night. All of my advance reads disappeared, nothing was syncing. Finally, when things started to appear again, nothing was in order. With an exceptionally long list of books trying to reappear on my Kindle, I decided to leave the process alone instead of interfering with it. Things would come back as they would. Whilst this was happening, though, I wanted something to read. Thus, I found one of the books that had reappeared. Despite being a few books down my to-read list, Alma Black’s book was one of the lucky ones to have re-downloaded with ease. Thus, I decided to give it a go. Whilst waiting for everything to reappear I could read one of my other advance reads.

I’d been excited about this one since Alma Black contacted me. I was growing impatient with myself, as it was taking me longer to reach the book than I had hoped. The wait was worth it, though, as I had so much fun with this one. It’s short and sweet, allowing you to complete it in no time at all, and it leaves you wanting more from the series.

This book has the general feel of other paranormal romance reads, whilst having enough to make it unique. A shifter romance involving the use of a dating app was something new to me, and I enjoyed it so much. From the first page we’re pulled into the shifter world, giving us a glimpse into the lion pack. There are so many different kinds of shifter to choose from, and I really hope the series gives us more and more. Honestly, this one was so fun that I’ll gladly read any kind of shifter romance set around this premise. There’s such promise of where future books can go, so much opened up, and I cannot wait to see where things head.

In terms of the actual story, I felt as though things were a bit too fast for my liking. I enjoyed when books have a lot of action, and this book certainly had that. However, I feel as though the romance didn’t have much by way of build-up. I’m a big lover of build-up, and it felt as though the characters simply went through a checklist of emotions they were supposed to feel. It was fun to watch the way in which things developed – I adored the storyline and the way things played out – but I was left wanting a little bit more in terms of watching the emotional scenes between the characters. It wasn’t lacking, per se, but it could have had a bit more.

As I’ve previously stated, though, the book does leave promise for the series. Whilst we’re given an insight into the shifter world, we actually know very little. We know enough to understand the story, we know enough to understand the characters, and yet we don’t completely understand the world. We’re introduced to the bad guys – those who do not want shifters and humans together – but we don’t know as much about them as we could. Not that this is a bad thing, far from it. Such a thing has left me interested in seeing how they develop in the future books, curious as to what will happen next.

Overall, it was a roaring read. I’m more than a little bit excited about what comes next. If you’re a fan of paranormal romance, I certainly recommend picking this one up – it’s a great addition to the genre.

As a final note, I would like to thank the author for contacting me for a review. I had so much fun with this one!

Alma Black did a fantastic job with this book. The description Alma placed in this book really brought it to life. I loved how she spun the Shifter/human world. It was refreshing to read a book different from the mainstream. Until I finished the book, I had not realized this was her first book. I am impressed with her writing style.

The sexy lion shifter Max Foster is causing quite a ruckus with his new Shifter Date app. Up until now, Shifters and humans have not really been allowed to mingle. The shifters and human both have a feeling that the worlds should be kept apart. But Max feels that many humans and shifters are missing out on that all-consuming love and he wants to change it. Too bad even his family is against him on this as well.

Alexis Parrish drew the short end of the stick when he is the one selected to meet and interview Max. She does not like shifters and feels the way mainstream does that the two should stay separate. What she did not expect was Max to be so charming and charismatic. The man challenges her in a good way.

I must say I loved the push and pull between Max and Alexis. Their playful banter was great. I loved their first nondate where he teased her and showed her that he was not this scary monster she needed to run from kept me smiling. He was drawn to her and wanted nothing more than to protect her and let her into his world.

The twist in this story really kept it interesting for me. I have my thoughts is to what is really going on and I am hoping that in the next book we get more of the story. Alma Black is definitely a new favorite author for me.

Geeezzzzzzz why haven't I read this ladies books before. My first book from
Ms. Alma she is stupendous right out of the gate. Ofcoarse you all know that how I like my books, get sucked in right away all the way to the end. Yes, I definitely recommend this book it's explosive believe me.
Alexis Parrish aka: Lexi is a human journalist from Avenues X-Change. Alexis  doesn't believe shifters and humans should mix. In fact according to her two species shouldn't mix. Not wanting to go, Alexis did anyway, she decided to interview the creator of the app ShifterDate.com but going in bias was hard, it was even harder when she saw him, he was delicious. Drooling, she knew she had to keep her legs crossed and get out of there fast. But luck wasn't on her side he insisted on a date. Could he be right, "Once You Go Shifter, You Never Go Back?”
Max Forster is a Alpha Lion Shifter definitely king of his Pride. But even the king can fall to his knees for the right person. Things got a little out of hand after he had his date, one kiss he knew she was his actually he knew she was his before she left the interview. But it seems other shifters don't feel the same way. As he continues his with Shifters Date things start happening, but when they start threatening he takes action.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

4 stars!

Fun, sexy read. Max is an alpha lion shifter who's created a new dating app to get shifters and humans to meet and explore interspecies relationships. Alexis is a human who doesn't believe species should mix, but in order to write an article for her magazine/blog about the app, she must meet and survive an interview with the sexy shifter.

Max is taken with Alexis upon the first meeting, and convinces her to have dinner with him, i.e. a date, to see that he is just like any other guy. Sparks fly and their chemistry is combustible! But the more time they spend together, the more it irritates those who don't believe species should mix. Someone is threatening Alexis to stay away from Max and write a bad review for the app. Max is determined to keep Alexis close, protect her, and find out who is threatening his mate.

I enjoyed this one. Witty, funny, sexy, I'll definitely be on the look out for more stories from this new-to-me author.

Okay, this book was adorable. I loved the premise of the book, I loved the characters and I loved the romance. Alexis is a human blogger that is reluctantly interviewing Max about his new shifter dating app. She's against the idea of shifters and humans dating and I found the idea of her being a bit of a speciest refreshing. You don't usually see that angle from an author unless they are the bad guy and I was curious as to how Ms Black would handle it. Max on the other hand is a true romantic and believes in love which is why he created his dating app. To him, it doesn't matter if you are shifter or human and when Max meets Alexis he's determined to have her for his own, but first he has to get past her issues with shifters.

The more time that Alexis spends with Max the more she realizes that she may be wrong about shifters and humans having relationships. Max is charming, sweet and drop dead sexy. He can't be that bad after all, right?

Alexis isn't the only one out there that has problems with shifters and humans co-mingling, there is a rogue shifter group that will stop at nothing to keep the species apart starting with Alexis. This is where you get to see Max in all of his nummy alpha-ness. Nobody threatens his mate! Max is so deliciously protective, sexy, funny, sexy, sweet, sexy, see where I'm going with this?

Witty banter, a swoon worthy alpha and one sassy human make for a thoroughly enjoyable read for anyone who is a fan of PNR. I will definitely be keeping this author on my radar!

Let me start off with the fact that PNR/shifters are my not my typical read, I've tried a few that were more 'erotic' and not much of a storyline outside of 'claiming'. I saw a teaser for this book on Twitter that says "Once you go shifter, you never go back." I died laughing and when I was presented with the chance to review this book, I jumped on it.

I am so glad that I opened my mind and read this one. I have zero regrets and I look forward to reading more PNR from here on out. Alma Black has converted me to a PNR lover!

"Love is dangerous. And wild. And spectacular."

That is probably one of my favorite lines from the book, and I think it defines the relationship in this this story. I loved Max and Alexis together. They had undeniable chemistry even when they were fighting it (my favorite part).

This love story wouldn't be complete if the couple didn't have to fight to be together. And what a fight it was. Inter-species dating is very controversial. At times I was reminded of 'Save the Last Dance.' When they say, "You can't help who you love, you're not supposed to".

I really enjoyed this book and if you are looking to dip your toe in the the PNR/shifter world I think this is a great book to start with.

Must Love Lions - Alma Black

A fabulous start to a PNR series! As a huge fan of Paranormal and shifters,
I always go into a book without to many expectation ( sadly sometimes they blend together and seem familiar) however Ms Black has done an amazing job of making this PNR unique and intriguing!
A reasonably short read with enough spice and drama to keep the story flowing! Captivating the reader with something new to sink their fangs into!

Max and Alexis..... well I wont do spoilers but....

I loved the chemistry between these lead characters. Good Bad and Hostile..

Max is an Alpha and Alexis, well Human yes and there in lies the drama, interspecies relationships are taboo, but between Max and the hopes of a good write up for his Shifter/Human dating App by Alexis maybe that could change.

Can a Human and a Lion find True Love even if via a computer?
Or will Family PRIDE stand in the way?

I would definitely recommend if your a fan of PNR/ shifters that you give this debut novel a read!
I for one am looking forward to more from this author.

Outstanding job on this first book by Indie author Alma Black. This is a light read and I know the readers will enjoy it. She incorporates humor, minor violence, prejudice, hate, and love. The dating concept which is always an intriguing event for anyone who is single added to the story.

Her characters are written with flair and drew me in to see how they would solve the dating situation between humans and shifters. Max has just the right amount of Alpha to make your heart flutter and his pursuit of Alexis is fun and enduring. Alexis's negativity about his dating app is the perfect foil to Max's relentless pursuit of her.

I give it 5 STARS for being so well done for a new author. Will you give her a try? I know I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

And just for fun check out her Shifter Date - Paranormal Dating App.

Must Love Lions by Alma Black
I received a book from the author for an honest review.
I lurves me some shifters and Lions…Yup don’t think I have read one yet….so this was a definite read for me when the opportunity presented itself.
I loved the unique storyline in the novel. Alpha Lion Max created a dating app…think Tinder meets Match….to help Shifters and humans find love. WELLLLLL, not everyone human and shifter is down with the interspecies mingling that is for sure.
Alexis must write an article for her blog about the app. She goes in wanting to write a paper destroying this app but soon finds herself attracted to the man…shifter…Lion????
The couple have a lot to deal with as far a rogue group of shifters wanting to put a stop to the mingling, his family not approving of him spending time with a human and much more. The story was good and I was engaged throughout the entire book. There were parts that seemed a little bit choppy and didn’t flow very well but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the book. I am excited to jump into book 2 and will as soon as I aa finished with the review.
I will say I enjoyed the ending of the book nd playing on the “shifter app” that we read about in the book…super cute and fun idea 

Must Love Lions is an interesting take on a very popular shifter genre. Typically I have found shifter stories to view humans in one of two ways; either humans are completely oblivious to shifters or they know about them and shifters kinda adore human women. This story is unique to me because it's a shifters vs. humans stand point. They hate each other and it's very clear they should not date or love one another. That is until Max decides to create an app, against his pride's wishes, that tries to pair shifters and humans or at least have a blind eye as to race in matching for dates. Sadly not everyone in either the shifter or human world agree that species should mingle. Max invites reporter Alexis to write an article about the new app and ends up convincing her to give dating a shifter a try, in dating him. I found this story to be a quick read and interesting from the beginning. The author is very descriptive and the main characters relatable. It seems as though this is the first in an upcoming series as there is supporting characters that possibly could have there own stories. With those positives being said, I'm rating this story only 4 hearts, because I'm just not sure if I'm hooked enough to go looking for the next ones. I also found most of the supporting characters pretty negative and the adversarial stances between humans and shifters off putting.

4 Star Review Shifter Date: Must Love Lions: Paranormal Romance App - Shifter Date Book 1
Alma Black is a new author to me and this is a genre that I do not often read. This was a book with a difference and I really enjoyed it.
Max Forster is a Lion shifter who has created a new Shifter Dating app for shifters and humans which has caused a division as they don’t normally date. Alexis Parrish is the sassy journalist who is sent to interview him. Both are supervised by their almost instant attraction, neither can resist and the chemistry sizzles between them.
Their fledgling relationship is complicated by interference and disapproval from him family. When a rogue group targets Alexis, Max’s protective streak comes out and he is determined to do whatever is necessary to keep her safe. Could Alexis be Max’s mate?
I enjoyed Ms. Black’s writing style and she was able to make me forget I was reading paranormal, so engrossed was I in the storyline. There were some surprising twists and turns whilst reading this book and I was surprised to learn that this was Ms. Black’s debut novel. Hopefully those will be expanded in future books in what I hope will be a series.

Arc received for an honest review

I'm not usually a massive fan of paranormal books but recently I've been really into shifter books so was really excited to read this book.

Shifter Date: Must Love Lions is a relatively short book so I was pleasantly usurprised by how much the author was able to put into the book without it feeling rushed or frantic.

The story is written from dual POV and centres around the concept of Shifters being 'out in the open' - as opposed to a secret and challenging the ideas that humans and shifters shouldn't 'mate'.

This book, although only 116 pages long, has a great plot line, humour, action and some really steamy scenes.

Now, it is a bit 'insta-love' but that's one of my guilty pleasures.

Overall, a really enjoyable read and a well written, well thought of debut book... I am really looking forward to continuing the series.

Just a quick note: Don't read it while you're at the hairdressers.,That's a bit... Shall we say 'uncomfortable' lol

This was a loving, funny, and a little bit of action story. Max creates an app for shifters and humans to find love but can shifters and humans find true love in each species? Alexis may be able to shed light on the subject if she can put prejudices aside. These two will show that two different species can love and be together. Opinions may change but will they? Alma you keep a fast pace with this one and I enjoyed the fun loving story. Each point of view is what keeps me interested (other than your writing) because I wanna know what each main character is thinking. Well done, if there is more to Max and Alexis and the Pride I can't wait to see what happens. Short read so if you need to escape life for a bit and love shifters this will do you good.

Fabulous, fast, hot, shifter romance that didn't let me go until the last page!

I wanted to such more! Not because this book isn't full of flirt, hotness, and suspense but because I'm selfish and I didn't want the book to end!

The taboo of shifter/human relationships run strong on both sides, but Alex a prince among his lion shifters is about to break down those barriers with a roar!

When Alex walked into Max's office for an interview, for him, it was lust at first sight. As time went on, he knew his life without her would be meaning less. He just had to convince Alexis to let down her walls and show the feelings were mutual.

This book was so much fun! It made me blush, gasp, awww, and fall in love with the characters as they were falling for each other. Great read!

I was contacted by the author to read and review, that being said I am submitting an honest and fair review.

Max is an Alpha in a pride of lions, his father is set in his ways about how things should work. But this is the 21st century after all, it's a new age and shifters and humans should be able to live, love and get married and not be ashamed. As love is love. Alexis is a journalist and is sent to interview Max about his new dating app. that helps Shifters meet Humans. She doesn't feel that they should mix, but upon meetings sexy as hell Max she has to rethink her stance, as he stated, love is love. I want more of their story and to find out the other possible matches in the pride.

Max Forster is a lion shifter and the designer of a new dating app, ShifterDate.com. He is trying to get the app accepted by both humans and shifters, but is running into a lot of prejudice particularly from his own pride. Alexis Parrish is a journalist who has been assigned to find out about the app and it's designer. She thinks the very idea of humans and shifters together is perverse.
This looks like the start of a series. If it is I will be pleased to read many more. Some very sexy scenes and vicious big cat fights.
We have met some fascinating characters that I hope will get their stories, while keeping up with Max and Alexis.
Good fun read.

So it's been a awhile since I've read a shifter novel and this book didn't disappoint at all.
Max is a shifter and Alexis is a human. At first Alexis is judgmental of there kind but eventually comes around. This was an enjoyable read and I liked that the plot of the story was more than just sex. This book shows you how love can happen when you least expect it and how it's not always good to judge. I'm happy Alexis took a chance on Max as he seemed like a good shifter! I will continue on with the series as this was a good first book. Hopefully we can get an update with this couple in the next book.

Couldn't get enough!

This is an intense fast paced story. Max, alpha lion shifter, is putting together an app meant to pair shifters with potential human dates and perhaps mates. Alexis is a romance blogger. She's very pessimistic about the idea but willing to get both sides of the story. As a new threat rises and tensions mount, Max and Alexis will have to decide what is the best path to follow...their heads or their hearts? This story with leave you begging for more...more of Shifter Date and more of Alma Black!

I loved this story. The characters are fun, and the action is non stop. Shifters need love, same as humans, As with anything, there are pro choice, and Anti Choice. People always fear what they don't understand. Who knew a little innocent app could create so much grief. Non stop action, suspense, and some Hawt, steamy love scenes that will melt your heart. Ms Black has a hit on her hands :) Love a good shifter story? Check it out!

This was the first book that I have read by this author. I was given an ARC copy for my honest review. It was a great book, could hardly put it down. Max and Alexis are a great couple. I love how protective Max was with Alexis. Alexis was so unsure of how she should feel towards Max. Do they find love in the end or does she find love with a human ? You will have to read the book to find out.

This is a short story about Max and Alexis . The story starts with Alexis , a reporter, meeting with a shifter , Max , whom is starting up a Shifter Dating app. The heat starts between them quickly and I adored the way he was able to get her on their first date. I do not give spoilers so I will say to keep an eye out for Alma Black's wok ! I , myself, will be on the lookout for more ! For a first PNR Alma Black shows real talent for PNR !

Pretty awesome story! Short but complete and very steamy! Entertaining characters and well written scenes keep you turning pages to find out what happens next. A great quick read for any paranormal or shifter lover.

As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I'm giving this one four hearts for romance, sex and superb character development. I hope she plans to write more of the lions stories!

Fun debut PNR. Fans of Jessica Sims and Milly Taiden will get a kick out of Shifter Date: Must Love Lions. This is a sweet and sexy read that also tackles the very serious topic of prejudice and interracial dating without being too heavy. I fell for Max right away and always like a smart and sassy female lead. I look forward to seeing where the author takes this series.

Wonderfully Romantic

This was a beautiful story written wonderfully with a bit of danger and mystery. The chemistry between the H/h was written in such a way that you could almost feel the heat. Not since Lora Leigh's Breed series have I been this captivated! I can't wait to jump into this new and exciting world.
