Rated for the recipes.

The bad: It is very clearly written for a weight-management audience, using sales-pitch tactics such as twisted truths and gross generalizations to seem more informed than it actually is. Those exploring keto for neurological health will not find meaningful value on that front.

The good: The recipes are delicious, easy, and the authors have included ballpark figures for ingredient weight in grams, as well as estimates for the final products’ calories and macros.

Overall: There are more factual, authoritative keto books on the market, but for those who want a simple, themed cookbook this is a nice casual addition.

Ok could be better. Seems more geared towards Paleo.

Recipies look tastey. Does not have total carbs or fiber so you can't figure it out. The Author does not like dairy so you will not find any of that in here. What i really wanted was the meal plans. The plan does not give the total macro for the day and the links for lunch takes you to the wrong place. I added up the macros for the first 3 days. It ranged from just over 1000 cals to just under 1300 cal per day. Net carbs are at 20g . The protein seems high. The Fat to protein ratio was close to 1:1 with protein being higher on 2 of the days. My understanding is that protein gets converted into sugar and to much protein can knock you out of ketosis. The Author runs a Paleo site so this book might be better for that.

Quick read with some really interesting recipes. I’m new to the world of Keto, so I’m reading as much about it as I can and I appreciate a book that explains the topic in layman’s terms, quickly and concisely without a lot of fuss and scientific jargon, that just gets in the way of figuring out how to incorporate this plan into ones lifestyle, and then gets to the recipes and meal plans. This cookbook offers 124 yummy sounding recipes including slow cooker recipes, Thai recipes and desserts and breads. This cookbook actually has recipes in it that appeal to me and my family and can even satisfy my youngest son who is one of the pickiest eaters I know. I can’t wait to try them out.
