** The short story you loved from the A Secret Affair Anthology is now a full length novel. **

Cecelia Merrill was used to being on her own. Lost and lonely, Lia couldn’t wait to graduate and watch her judgmental little town fade behind her. All she had to do was survive three more years of high school, and she was free. She wouldn’t let anything hold her back.

Blurry by Author Carina Adams is a YA/NA student teacher romance novel.

"I had learned my lesson. Never again. Love was for fools."

Lia is entering her sophomore year of high school. Her life revolves around her best friends, her work, and sports. Her home life is fairly non-existent as her mom is absent most times. Because of this, she isn't accustomed to anyone caring about her or her well-being. But, all of that is about to change when Coach Knightly steps on the scene and they become "friend

*****5 ‘Love & Longing’ STARS*****

20 – 15 = 5. Such a small number relatively speaking. How large is that number in regards to love and how do you measure it against it? Can you? Twenty and fifteen. A twenty year old teacher and a fifteen year old student. Five years apart. How do you measure love…by numbers?

“In that moment, she was my everything.”

I went into Blurry biased. Although I hadn’t read anything by Carina Adams I’d heard about Forever Red (Bama Boys #1) and knew a little bit about

This is the first Carina Adams’ book I read.

I really, really hesitated before picking up this book, because of the “forbidden relationship” plot.
But I’m really glad I finally did, because the writing is excellent and the subject handled very realistically.

The “gap” between Lia and Craig’s ages, social prejudices and barriers, living in a little town… Lia definitely wasn’t born with the best cards to make her big dreams come true.
This book made me think about the way we too quickly and ea

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I guess I can start by saying how much I loved this book. I wasn't sure if I would be able to fall in love with Craig and Lia as a couple or Craig as a person but I did. For anyone that has read Forever Red this is Lia and Craig's story. We see how they met, what they meant to each other and what really happened between them. This is all before Nate Kell

Carina Adams is a new author to me, one I’m so glad I decided to take a chance on. Blurry is a very taboo student/teacher romance. The synopsis intrigued me, but I was a little hesitant at first because of the subject. These types of stories must be well written for me to really enjoy, and Carina did it flawlessly!

“Then, Coach turned my way. His eyes were hidden behind mirrored glasses, and I doubted he could see mine, but I felt like he saw more than I wanted him to. It was a feeling I got fro

Oh my gosh where do I start? I will start with this book is a forbidden/taboo. It pushed envelopes at every turn and I loved it. I honestly thought I would be put off with it not based on the age, but because of the student/teacher. I was so happy I read this book.I was sucked in and it was gripping from the first word until the very last word. The emotional turmoil at an all time high. There is an underlying mystery to this book as well as with they get found out, what wil
Fairly long angsty forbidden student / teacher romance that is worth it if you are open to this slightly taboo topic

Blurry was my first read by Carina Adams so I had no idea what to expect but I love a good forbidden / student/teacher (or athlete/coach) relationship so I was immediately drawn to this book. Overall, I enjoyed this book, although I’ll be honest and say I had some mixed feelings as I was going along. Blurry is a real rollercoaster ride of emotion with the back and forth and with so

Lia lives in Two Lanes, the nearby trailer park, and she spends her free time outside of school working and taking care of herself because her mom isn’t around. Teacher/student is one of my favorite genres and Burry fit the mold almost perfectly. We are introduced to the young Lia and honestly, a young Craig. She's sixteen and he's twenty, although it felt like he was written to be thirty.

"Sometimes we don’t even know how much we need someone until they’re there.”

Lia was a bit of a little girl lost. Her father took off a few years previous and her mother is pretty much non-existent. At sixteen, she is mature beyond her years having to take care of hers

Do you know that feeling of wanting more? Of wanting to keep reading?
Here's the thing, I've started to read this story in another book that was a mix of several authors. When I started to read it I knew instantly that I would love it and I did. The major issue was that the story was incomplete and I was insane waiting for it because I wanted to know more. I had so many questions that needed to be answered. And finally my torture ended.
As you know Carina Adams has an amazing way with words. Her

I accepted an ARC of Blurry to read and review

When i first read the synopsis i was intrigued. Having never read a novel by Carina Adams i thought, why not.

I'm so glad i decided to take a chance on a 'New-to-Me' Author!

But in being one hundred percent honest, I wasn't going to request an ARC of this novel given the 'student/teacher' trope that was described. I tend to be more harsh when reviewing a novel that has to do with this particular subject. I feel it has to be told a right way to where it

I cannot lie, student-teacher stories are my weakness. I love the sneaking around, the lust charged glances over the text books and making out against locked classroom doors. My bad, I know, but it's my thing so don't judge.

This is the prequel to Forever Red, showing the Lia we knew as a thirty year-old as she was aged just 15, full of sass, attitude and piss and vinegar. Oh and crushing wildly on her 19 year-old hockey coach and English teacher, Craig. Not only is he wildly hot but he's also t

Blurry is the first book I've red by Carina Adams - and I could not put it down. The forbidden teacher/student love affair just hooked me in and I read this book in a single Saturday.

Craig tries so hard to just be a friend to Lia, and their relationship really does start out with a young coach having only the best of intentions for his star athlete, who has a crap home life... but somewhere along the way, it just hits him like a freight train that he's fallen in love with her. And he can't have

I give Blurry 5 stars for blurring the lines enough that it kept me wondering and wanting to find out what happened. I felt many emotions while reading this and enjoyed everyone of them.

Carina Adams has a winner on her hands. A story of forbidden love, barriers that shouldn't have been crossed, lines that were blurred but in the end, all turned out fine.

I have read Carina before but I have yet to read the Bamma Boys series , so this is my first time meeting Lia and Craig. I am very eager to read on and see how things play out because we do get to know Nate in this book too so to see him become who he is in Forever Red WOW !! I feel like since I walked into this story without knowledge of anything I had an open mind for Craig and Lia. She was the girl from the wrong side of town , father gone , mother never around. I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review

When are you an adult? Is it when you reach a certain age or is it when life has tested you in such a way that you can identify and connect with someone regardless of their age?

When Cecelia (Lia) and Craig meet there is no real connection except as coach and student.
They just annoy each other in the first few pages but Craig quickly realises that Lia needs help. He begins to help by giving her a lift to and from practice realising that her mum

Blurry by Carina Adams is a taboo student/teacher relationship that blurs more than just the lines. Cecelia Merrill is a smart kid, 15, and a talented athlete from a low-income end of town. Being raised by her mother who is never around Cecelia fends for herself and has built walls to keep other out. This is the prequel to Forever Red and I must say that I was intrigued to see how this book played out. I was pleasantly surprised as I really wasn’t sure how I would feel about this pairing considering how much I love Nate and Lia together.

I think I was one of the rare few that loved Craig early on.
In Forever Red, we didn't get the full back story of his and Lia's relationship, so we were left to wonder and fill in the pieces on our own. When Carina told me she was writing their story I was soo excited. And scared. VERY scared. I knew Lia cared deeply for Craig I was so afraid to see their story play out. I knew I'd love them, love him.
And holy crap do I!
This is such an important piece to our Lia's story. I

If you are a fan of Carina like me - give Craig a chance. I was not a huge fan of him in the other books - didn't hate him but wasn't sure where he was coming from. This book is a great insight into not only him but also the main character we see again in Red. We are all human - sometimes we can't help who we fall in love with. You will have so many emotions in this book - I felt my heart breaking all over again for them when they went through things. Oh the mean girls - this book has them just ...more

I first read the beginning of this in the "A Secret Affair" book that has several of my friends/authors novellas in it...I was highly impressed. This book did not let down at all! Unlike most of C. Adams other reviewers, I met Lia and Craig in the Blurry novella in A Secret Affair Anthology, so I didn't have any preconceived notions of him from the other books in the series. And I for one am IN LOVE WITH CRAIG AND LIA! I love the taboo elements of this story and the student-teacher love affair. What started out as concern landed up being a taboo love affair? What happens when the teacher/coach crosses the line? What happens when the young girl starts to depend too fiercely on that teacher? This story was really good and showed a young love found too early for one partner. I felt sorry for Craig as his heart was always in the right place. I felt sorry for Lia as she really was more mature than her age. This story shows the good in people and the worst in others. It
