The journey to re-write my Art of D/s trilogy begins today. Technically, it began several months ago, having unpublished all three books and completed one chapter.
When I say re-write, that's precisely what I mean. I am completely over-hauling all three books. What was originally written in first person narrative is being changed to third person. It's quite a daunting undertaking, especially when considering how lengthy the books are. But, I genuinely believe that this change is for the best.
It will allow for more description, better allowing the reader to experience what the characters see and feel.
With this comes new covers and new titles, as well as new material. I'm excited, while at the same time scared, as I don't want to let my fans down, nor do I want to taint the memory of Isa, Dylan and Sawyer.
I cannot definitively say when I will be done. I want to take my time and get this right with the hopes that the changes will garner more exposure, perhaps even a publishing deal.
Wish me luck.

Where to begin with this review...
First what an outstanding last book to this series... Unless I can get Ella to write me my own personal books for me forever!!!! I would really adore you even more Ella. *HINT HINT*
Well, my BODY was ready!!!!

Finally I have Dylan and Isa back. I have missed these two so much I was hurting. I needed my fix.
So, we take off I would say a month after the second book.
Things get heated up pretty quickly... I love when Mistress Isabella comes out and plays. I love the switch, a true switch.
Their relationship gets tested, Demons come to resurface, ass holes who need their balls chopped off come back.
This book tortured me in the best ways possible.
I love him so much and I want him to be pleased with my acquiescence and total submission.
True love, power exchange, contentment and most importantly, trust - have finally graced me with their presence and my life with Isa is complete.
Overall this series is one of my all time favorites now. I felt a deep connection to each character from book 1 till now. I don't want their story to end.
I would highly recommend this series. If you love BDSM that gets you all hot an bothered, then this is a must read. The writing is brilliant. Ella brings you into her own special world that will capture you and not let you go.
Bravo Ella, Bravo. You did such a wonderful job.

5 crazy, arousing, emotional stars!
When I first began this story I was excited and sad to begin. I was excited to finally to continue Isa's and Dylan's journey, but I was sad because it's bringing a step closer to the end. This book had my emotions allll over the place.

If you've not read the The Art of Ds series then I recommend you do so. Dylan's and Isa's story is one love, growth, devotion, and hot steamy angsty sex. The banter between them will leave you laughing! This is an easy 5 star rating for me. I can't wait to read more from this author.

The Art of D/s trilogy is an epic saga of self-discovery, pushing all sexual limits and an all-consuming love. It starts off as the whirlwind romance of Dylan and Isa, two flawed, lonely and broken souls who embark on a co-dependent journey of sexual exploration while fighting demons and villains from their pasts.
This Art of D/s series should be read in order:
Book 1: The Art of Submission
Book 2: The Art of Domination
Book 3: The Art of Control
In book 1 & 2 we followed Dylan Young, a skilled and experienced Dom as he first became obsessed with Isa, the artist and soon discovered her submissive tendencies. Dylan pursued a BDSM relationship with Isa, but their relationship quickly became blurry with the in control Dylan bending and compromising and the semi-submissive Isa showing a bossy, dominant side. What started off as vanilla sex with a BDSM twist grew into BDSM and beyond. In the two months since book 2 ended Dylan has come to the realization that he may have pushed Isa too far at times:
“I’ve been more candid with her as well about my wants and needs. We’re both works in progress as I try to be a better Dom for her and her, a better submissive for me.”
Book 3 opens up with them heading for a belated honeymoon in Paris. We are treated to off-the-charts sex where Dylan and Isa push themselves and each other to new levels. A continued journey or self discovery and fulfillment for both Dylan and Isa. But just like the previous books, book 3 is every bit the rollercoaster of villains and demons from the past set out to threaten, hurt and break them apart. Their relationship is tested and they are both forced to confront their pasts and their demons. Only for everything to come to a heart-wrenching blow, so big and ugly not even love is strong enough to conquer.
Isa has come a long way since the innocent and soft-spoken young artist we met in book 1. She has grown into a self assured and mature woman and is discovering the fine balance between being Dylan’s submissive and at times his Domme. As it turns out she is a “true Switch”:
“BDSM gives me that sense of purpose and that purpose is to submit to you completely and to accept your gift of submission to me.”
My only grievance with this whole series is Isa’s behavior in parts of this book. Even though there were mitigating circumstances, she did something unforgivable. I have deducted one point from her rating in this book. But it does not change my overall rating of book/series.
Dylan is without a doubt one of the most unforgettable of heroes. His wit, candidness, sarcasm, sexiness, intensity and larger-than-life personality is nothing less than mesmerizing. In all his possessiveness and in-control presence it has been my pleasure and joy to watch this man bend, compromise and push himself - all in his need and love for Isa.
“I’ll never get enough of this woman - my wife. I want to please her. I want to own her completely: Mind, body and soul. I want her to be my physical property. She is my physical property.”
He still manages to be sexy and mostly in control:
“I’m horny as a motherf~cker, hard and itching to get my sadistic groove on. As I stroke myself, my mind starts coming up with all sorts of fantastic ways I can torture my beautiful wife as I look around the room for more everyday items that will work in that regard.”

The final installment in the D/s Trilogy gave us a truly stunning conclusion to the whirlwind relationship between Dylan and Isa... 
This book was a perfect example of how to balance panty-melting Erotica with an intriguing and thought-provoking storyline...
It featured emotional turmoil (for both the MCs as well as the Reader),
personal growth from both main characters,
heart-wrenching confessions,
nail-biting suspense...
and of course, the sinfully sexy interludes we've come to expect from this series...

Honestly, if I didn't have Becoming Sir to look forward to reading next... I would have the biggest book hangover...

4.5 UBER SIZZLING STARS!
The final installment of The Art of D/s. This book picks up soon after The Art of Domination leaves off. Dylan and Isa are happily married and recovered as good as can be expected from all things Cassiegate. Her dad is still lurking in the shadows and Dylan vows to eliminate him. He's excited to surprise Isa with the honeymoon she never got- a trip to Paris.
This book, especially the first half was hot hot hot. It had tons of sex and BDSM scenes....almost too much. I was hoping for more story, some action. Things really ramp up in the second half and that's what saved my rating. I love sexy controlling scenes but I needed more story from Dylan and Isa.
We get more of Mistress Isabel in this book and I loved Dylan's ability to also switch to the submissive role to give Isa that semblance of control she's never had in her life. Something she needs for her emotional stability. But Dylan is still predominately the loving, protective Dom he's always been. Mistress Ella, you have a fantastic ability to describe erotic BDSM scenes. You can make me blush...which is no small feat.
Okay, now for the reason I deducted a Goodreads star. Do not read the spoiler unless you've read this book.
The book ends the way it needed to end. The epilogue gives us a sense of good things to come for this couple who seriously deserves happiness together and some semblance of a family unit. The author also teases us with Sawyer and his growing interest in the BDSM lifestyle. I'm hoping she's planted the seed for a Sawyer/Sonya story. His fierce loyalty for all things Dylan was unfailing. Loved him!
Upon further contemplation, I can say at this point in my reading "career" this has got to rank one of the best "BDSM scene" written series I've experienced. So go forth and read. Another great book Ella Dominguez.

Dylan and Isa’s incredible story has captivated me throughout this spectacular series. The story is intriguing and the characters have depth and purpose.

OMG - I went to bed thinking about this book and woke doing the same. I can't tell you how fanfreakingtastic this book is but I am going try!!
This book is the last book in The Art of trilogy series. As the end of a trilogy, you expect a HEA, it's the journey getting there that is anticipated and unexpected. All reading this book will have read the first two so we are all familiar with Dylan and Isa and their intense relationship.
This book picks up with a delayed honeymoon trip to Paris. We get to experience the devotion, the passion, the sorrow, the intense sexual connection that both Dylan and Isa have for one another. I felt that this book delved deep into their all consuming love story. Of course, the sex is hot, hotter, the HOTTEST ever!!!! They way Ella writes about it is beautiful, erotic and down right SMOKIN!!!!! I had to take a break because I had to sit under a fan- I got too hot just remembering.
Ella brought out every emotion while I was reading- love, contentment, angst, sorrow, hopefulness, sadness, anger, and happiness. I really felt that as a reader, I learned the intensity and meaning of the BDSM lifestyle better as it is a major part of Dylan and Isa's relationship. I felt it, understood it and at times questioned it but it was them and it worked. The first part of the book concentrates on their intense love as the two spend time in Paris. We know that Isa's father is still lurking and plotting the destruction of their relationship. We see how he sets forth with his plan, how can a father be so evil? Can 2 people who seem so connected and know that they are soulmates, triumph over evil and still come out as strong? The journey in discovering is ever so wonderful.
What I absolutely love in a book is an intense love story. I want to be able to feel and believe that it's true. I loved the FSoG trilogy because of the beautifully intense and passionate love story between Christian and Ana. It had kinky f*ckery but in the end, it was a love story in the true sense, according to me. The Art of series is also a true love story. Dylan and Isa have been added to my collection of favorite couples. I felt their passion, their love and their commitment to each other. The ending was almost perfect in my mind, I would liked to have know that Isa.............you have to read and we can discuss later.
Lastly, I must add that I absolutely love the covers to all 3 books as is. They are so unique and special to the books. I loved it when Ella included paintings in the book as well. They are such an important part of the books, I wished there had been more. The painting made you feel and be able to get in Isa's mind even more. I know there has been talk of changing the covers but I have to say again-don't cause they really are perfect as they are!!

If you do yourself only one favor this year, it should be to pick up the Art of D/s series. I honestly cannot say enough about this series and Ella's writing!!! I've followed it from the start and have waited with baded breath for the release of each book. The first book was Ahhh-mazing, and it was hard to imagine how the series could get any better. But, Ella somehow figured out how to make the next book even more fabulous than the last, and TAoC is no exception. I love this series so much I want to yell from the rooftops!!!
This book is mind-blowingly exquisite, surreal, phenomenal, insanely brilliant, amazingly perfect, erotic, sensual, and passionate.

Finally, here's my review.
Definitely, I really, really, really enjoy this trilogy; I can even say it is one of my favourite ones. I l.o.v.e.d it!!!! With Mr. Sylvain Reynard's, Gabriel's Inferno & Gabriel's Rapture, this is fore-more my fave books.
It's all I want in an ending book for a trilogy/series:
1. Honesty [on the writing].
2. Depth [ditto].
3. A conclusion [A REAL ONE].
4. Coherence on characters AND plot.
5. Not wanting to extend a story/plot that could derive in a mush of non-senses and gets old & boring.
6. Alternative POV's from characters.
Isabel is fragile than ever, but always her dichotomy is present: wanting to solve her problems by her own; not wanting to be pitiful.
Dylan wanting to become the solution for her problems, surrendering his control, his will, his heart.
Even their codependent relationship, which makes them unable to coexist without each other, they are similar and different, because and in spite of their own fears and darkness, but living thru different ways.
I'm speechless. Exhausted, hipersensible, excited, and satisfied. That's how you're leaving me with this ending.

Ella exceeded all my expectations with this 3rd and final instalment of the Art of D/s trilogy. Whether you enjoy BDSM ‘erotica’ based fiction or not, there is no denying the fact that Ella Dominguez has taken a taboo subject and translated it into one of acceptance and beauty.
I’m not saying this series is an easy read. Dylan is the ultimate ‘dominating’ alpha, he can be incredibly intimidating and highly self absorbed but the love that he and Isa feel for each-other goes above and beyond anything ‘vanilla.’ As a reader it consumes you. It pulls you in… and it doesn’t let go.
The bedroom/dungeon/shower/public bathroom cubicle/sex-club scenes are HOTTER THAN HELL! They even managed to make me blush more than once and that is something in itself! But that’s only one aspect of it, because this book is so much more! Its not just another ‘smutty’ read, as it also covers some serious subject matters – primarily one of a shattered past; a childhood plagued by domestic violence and abuse, given to us as snippets from Isa’s journal entries. Some of it is upsetting… you have been warned!

With the double first person narrative we play witness to some real comical, quirky, yet beautiful and heartfelt scenes as they both succumb to the passion and consummate their marriage in the city of Love. I have so many scenes highlighted on my kindle it’s unbelievable! I thought the dialogue was amazing, the writing flowed exceptionally well and the characters grew exponentially, especially Sawyer! We are gifted with his own POV in certain scenes of this book which was a real treat as I felt myself crushing on him by the end of book two. I just hope Ella gives him his own story.
Fifty Shades of Grey fans should definitely read this series!

I truly enjoyed this series. As I told my friend, this whole series was just so engrossing. Just when you thought Isa and Dylan were on their way to a HEA... something would happen. In the end, it was a heart-wrencing story of healing, devotion, survival and unconditional love. There were some aspects of the book, that being their sadistic tendencies, that were not my favorite. However, I really just overlooked it because it was such a superbly told story. And not being a big fan of of the whole trilogy trend now I can't believe I am going to say this but... there really needs to be a fourth book. After all these two have been through they really deserve their HEA and of course... so does Sawyer.

Wow. What an intense, and somewhat depressing, book! There were so many NOOOO! moments, I was on the verge of tears numerous times. I'm so sad this series ended!
I feel like I need to catch my breath after reading this.
Isa's dad is once again his usual evil self and seriously fucking with Dylan and Isa throughout the whole book. Arg! I hate him so much! I kept going like, why can't he just leave them alone! I just knew going into this book he would try to destroy Isa based on the ending of the last book, but I did not see coming how messed up he could be. Something I didn't like was Especially with Dylan. Hello?! Get your shit together and stop assuming the worst of Isa.
Most of the book takes place during Isa and Dylan's honeymoon, and for the most part things go well. There are a few moments that were like, Oh Daaaamn! but they weren't entirely surprising for me. I was excited that Isa's Domme came out to play a few times! I missed her in the last book.
There was a lot of public naughtiness during their honeymoon ;) And of course Dylan would go out of his way to satisfy his dirty, dirty mind. Lol.

Things get really crazy and sad towards the end of the book. I wanted to slap Dylan! WTF man?! Dylan can be amazingly stupid and emotional. But, thank God, they get their hea, although there were times I didn't think it was going to happen.
I love him entirely, completely, eternally and infinitely, and beyond the stars and universe.
I think I need to take a break from such emotionally charged books for a while after this.

Another Work of Art to complete the series!
This book was such a fantastic continuation of the story of Dylan & Isa. So many series end on a flat note, creating more of a long winded epilogue than a book .. THIS IS NOT the case when it comes to The Art of Control.
There is so much action from cover to cover ... with story lines that began in the previous books in the series, but also new story lines that give us more insight into some of the other characters.
And if you're looking for something HOT to read ... it doesn't come hotter than this book! You may need some asbestos gloves while you're reading this one. It will make your Kindle Fire an INFERNO!
I look forward to the future books from this author!

5 Full-of-Happy-Tears Stars
The GIF above mirrors my reaction by the time I finished reading this book. I crave for more because I ship for this couple so freaking hard it hurts! Ms. Dominguez really doesn't disappoint! I'm utterly satisfied with the final installment of The Art Of D/s series. This book exceeds beyond my expectations. The BDSM theme is presented in such a way that inspires myself a whole new perspective about this lifestyle. And not to forget how I've maddeningly fallen in love with the hero and heroine. They are both equally amazing. Tormented with their own past problems and baggages, but with an exquisitely beautiful connection and love. The Art of Control is yet another journey that proves how these two beautifully damaged souls are destined for each other.

Dylan and Isa. This story continues to go deeper into their story of love and trust. I should warn you all that this one is a serious tear-jerker!
If you have not read books 1 and 2 stop reading this review now and go read them, otherwise this is just one gigantic spoiler!
Dylan and Isa are now husband and wife. They are continuing to explore their lives in the BDSM culture. Isa has discovered that she is a true switch and Dylan has discovered that he likes to be spanked sometimes. Kinky? Hell yes!

The happy couple are off to Paris for their honeymoon. They have survived a horrible series of events brought on by Isa's sick and twisted father. He continues to taunt and torment them. While in Paris, he reaches out and starts plucking their strings until they are wound so tight, Isa is afraid she may break.
“What is it about Paris that I just can’t keep my hands off of you?” I ask him in between kisses.
“It has nothing to do with Paris and everything to do with my raw sexuality, baby. I’m fucking irresistible,” he growls just before he shoves his tongue down my throat.
I can’t argue with that.”
Isa has to make a choice, and it is her most difficult one yet. She is stuck between two worlds and she has to find out if she has the strength to save the man she loves, even if it means loosing everything.
This book killed me. Isa, you poor dear. I wanted to hug you and tell you everything would be alright, even when I wasn't sure if it would be. Dylan, I could have smacked him upside the head. Dylan is just lucky that I love him, because he needs some serious discipline for some of this things he says and does in this book.
“Mistress Isabel ties me down and pushes my limits of pain and pleasure, and I’m the one screaming out her name. True love, power exchange, contentment and most importantly, trust – have finally graced me with their presence and my life with Isa is complete.”

Holy wet panties! This books was amazing. We can see so much badass Isa, especially in Paris at the BDSM club.
Plus, we have a great insight of Dylan and Sawyer bromance. These two guys are better than an old married couple.

Dear Old Dad will do anything to ensure that his secrets are kept safe, and if that means wrecking his daughter's dreams of lifelong happiness, so be it. Is Dylan & Isa's mutual love for one another enough to overcome all the obstacles that are placed before them to keep them apart? Will they have their happily ever after?
***I personally LOVE The Art of D/s series, and am super pleased with the ending. I'm sad to see Dylan's and Isa's story come to a conclusion, however I couldn't be happier with the ending!

Wowsers!
Before I go into the gushy part of reviewing this last book in the trilogy I have got say that I was very close to knocking a star off at the 1st quarter of this book. I was having a hard time reading so many sex scenes - yeah I know seems ridiculous doesn't it, but there was such a fest going on I was getting frustrated at where the story had disappeared to. But I can happily say it settled down and the plot came exploding back to the forefront, stayed on track and oh boy I can only say that this ended perfectly.
I have been glued to this trilogy and I am little sad it's come to an end. Dylan and Isa will forever stay with me and I will without a doubt revisit them.
I can hand on heart say this is only the third author that I've read that brought to life the sadism element in a loving way in the BDSM enviroment i.e. nothing to do with captivity or stockholm syndrome. It was hard to swallow some of the nastier/pain filled scenes but they were written with such care and attention and the love of these two characters completely out shone the intense play that they loved and needed. Yes this is what the whole story revolved around, it was centre stage but it was so much more too and it was brought to life in an extremely colourful way.

This is a non-spoiler review for the whole trilogy!
Because I read them back-to-back and can't remember what happened in which book. *facepalm*
This series was a little out of my comfort zone, although I've been reading more books similar lately. It was recommended by one of the bloggers I follow and was on sale at the time, so I one-clicked and dug right in!
Isa was a little bit of an oddball, but she was different than the average female lead which was pretty refreshing as well!
Dylan was also a great lead male character that was smokin' *wink*
I loved the thriller aspect the series had and I think that's what had me flipping the pages the most.
Yes, there was tons of sex and it was hot, but I need more than that to enjoy a story and I thoroughly enjoyed this one!!
