I really couldn't get myself to like Garrett. He was a complete jerk through most of the book, and he treated Evan like garbage. I couldn't see what Evan liked about him. I hated the MC, so I really couldn't enjoy it much.

This book was a definite mix of good, ok and irritating. Garrett seems to be completely unredeemable, with his selfish and jerky way of dealing with people, even the other MC, Evan. They have a very complicated past and though Garrett feels bad for alot, he still seems to be unable to completely transform that negative personality into a believable, loving, forgiveness-worthy partner for Evan.
