This was a really good level 1 Reader's Clubhouse storybook. The words were easy to read but still told a story (along with the good illustrations) And several were repeatative words for those beginning to read children; to help in their self esteem to know they 'can do it'! Words with the "ick" ending short I sound. Also there are certain words bolded and is 'spelling words' list in the back. In the back is a 'fun facts' about germs. And an arts and crafts directions to make a get well card. So this book could be used as just a storybook, a teaching reading book, a spelling book, and or and encourage your friends when they are sick book.

This is a good, short to-the-point book about good friends and being healthy. Reading it can spark a good discussion with young children about ways to stay healthy and how friends care about us. It reminds me of times when I was sick and friends and family would check on me. It's healing to know that people care.
