This book is a paranormal romance and is a story like no other I have ever read. It's such a good read! I really enjoyed this book, so much so that I couldn't wait to pick it back up again to continue reading.

We are introduced to various characters throughout this book. Whilst the author leads you to believe that Leandra and David are the main characters, they really are not. Leandra and David are psychiatrists working at the same hospital. When Leandra's affair comes to an end, she struggles a

I had the pleasure of being an advance reader for the fantasy/romance novel, Poisonous Whispers, by Jana Begovic. I was immediately drawn to the book due to the gorgeous artwork on the cover, which set the stage for a beautiful story to follow. Folks, let me just say, this book is not your

Well. THAT is a novel that puts a new canvas on the paranormal romance frame! The first couple of chapters are a little tough to get into, however, the dialogue uses a very literary, "soliloquy" style with sentences that are juicy enough to keep going. It's actually a pretty unique and distinctive narrative style I found I enjoyed once I got used to it. Her use of sensual and descriptive language through is stirring and keeps the pages turning. The BEST part of this novel is the past lives story ...more

Poisonous Whispers is a very well written book. It has passion, drama, infidelity, conflict, love and forgiveness. So why is it I couldn't just loose myself in this book. Grrrr…I am so mad at myself that I could not love this book. It hits literally every little box on my checklist for me to love it. Yet, I just don't. I'm seriously hoping this passes and when I give it a reread in the future I fall in love with it.

Begovic has written a beautiful epic love story with well fleshed out characters

such a unique story, at first I thought it was going to be like many of the romance stories I have read, I was not, it draws you in , you have to find out what happens>
Jana has a very eloquent way of expressing feelings and one feels what the character is going through.
this book has some mystery and dept , what I like most about it is that it made me question my own relationships and motivations , why I have chose what and who i have chose in my own life, also I believe that anyone who has

From the first knock on her colleague's door, main character Dr. Leandra, takes you in ... and you are captured... The writer through Leandra leads you through the intricate stories, mesmerizing you with her enchanting and vivid writing, to the realization that loving passionately one man through all her past lives is her curse. It is through her reincarnations, her infatuation in life that the writer and Leandra hold you in till the last page. This novel is not written like your classic love st ...more

Poisonous Whispers is a book that covers a couple of main subjects - past life regression and a love betrayed - over different spans of time, and from different perspectives. The main characters are all mainly in their 50s too, so that makes quite a difference from the 'young generation' that are usually written about. It certainly made a nice change to read about someone with life experience.

In this lifetime, we have Leandra, Adrian, and Weylin - wife, husband, and lover. Weylin has

Begovic’s debut, Poisonous Whispers, is a saga that spans the ages. With poetic prose, life lessons and a lot of deep thinking. I’m not sure I’d describe it specifically as a fantasy romance, that’s a bit too restrictive. It’s got a lot in the way of spirituality: exploring oneself, the consequences of our actions, healing and self-love. There’s fantasy there, sure, and romance scenes are scattered throughout… but not in the same way as standard romance novels – i.e. David, Leandra’s psychiatris ...more

I read this book in advance in exchange for an honest review. I must say, Poisonous Whispers is a bit different from the books I would normally choose to read, but I was not disappointed by the story Jana wove.

I found that the flaws in the characters made them realistic. Leandra’s behaviour was frustrating to me at first, but eventually I ended up feeling sympathy for her as it seemed her fate was out of her own hands. My favourite of her lifetimes was that of Juliet’s because she wa

Jana Begovic is an author of one of a kind talent. Poisonous Whispers is a book that really hard to put down and I absolutely enjoyed it from cover to cover. The story is magical, though provoking, relaxing and sensual. Beautiful story! And I loved the choice of words she used to for this story.
I wish I have read it sooner, but I am SO glad that I did and going to keep it for my re-reads!

A book full of magical whispers and psychological insight. I have always wondered what people write the best reviews. After reading Jana Begovic's Poisonous Whispers I have found the answer to this question - people who can see, feel, and hear the world they are living in. In these hectic times we need to stop for a while and look around us and into us. When you decide to do that, take this book and read it!
