In the Motor Trade, Phil Moss is a car salesman who's got the tax people on his back, a partner threatening to quit and become a shoe salesman, and a wife who's left him for a rival car dealer. And it isn't even noon yet. The Affections of May is a romantic comedy about a city woman who, after being deserted by her husband in a small town, finds herself struggling to keep her head above water, while fending off a couple of local men vying for her affections.
