The Seekers Trilogy #2
The Seekers of Knight
They’ve defeated Knight’s Terror.
They’ve escaped the Baron.
Now, the games really begin…
Theo, Ajax, and the twins have managed to escape the destruction of Baron Reinhold’s compound. They’ve done so by defeating the powerful Knight’s Terror in the process, and have escaped with the secret file that might just give them the answers they’re looking for.
Now, they have to get back to Petram fast, the vast and unforgiving desert standing in their way. Crossing it won’t be easy, but even worse will be what they have to face next.
Because back in the city of stone, they get some bad news; news that sends shivers of fear through the lands. Soon, however, they’ll be returning to Eden, reuniting with their legendary parents in a desperate hunt to find out where the Baron, and his Seekers, will attack next.
Together, the two generations of heroes will come together against a foe greater than any they’ve faced before. And with their resources dwindling, and their enemies closing in, the odds seem stacked against them.
For Theo, it’s time to step up. To step out of the shadows cast by his parents, and join them in the light. The only question is: is he up to the task?
Soon enough, he’ll find out…

I loved the story, characters and plot. I just wanted the story to continue.😩 So sad it's done. But I'm ready for whatever comes next.

The Art of War
Theo and Ajax develop their powers further and experience a war of cunning, deception and misdirection. Great to see Cyra and all the others back in the game. The Baron has been one step ahead of them and the team need to anticipate his next move otherwise they will not survive. Interesting reveal at the end and that will cause a few dramas along the way. I like the way this author writes as you become invested in these characters and want them to win against the insurmountable odds.

I recommend you read the first 4 books of this series, which details the original Watchers wars and then the new threat. I have a brief summary up to the start of this book. It may spoil the story if you haven't read the previous books.
We return to the world 20 years after the death of Augustus Knight, to a world where training as a Watcher has become illegal. The offspring of the original heroes of the Watchers war, had trained in seclusion until the attacks on the four major political powers assassinated. This causes the former Watchers to assemble for funerals and in doing so, a plan where the two young men are sent to be trained and sent to the games held in the desert, as fights in a tournament style, to find the strongest fighter. It was believed that these fights were being used to draft recruits for the people that have set up the assassins. It is fortunate our heroes met two women, who are twin daughters, who assist when the hide away of one of the villains is located, and destroyed.
This story continues from this point. The four young people, escaping on motor bikes across the desert.
This book is engaging and dramatic as the previous in this series. Again someone who is fanatical has eyes on destroying the world. The watchers are the ones that stand in the way.
I voluntarily submitted this review after reading an advanced copy of this book.

I wasn't sure about this trilogy. The first three booked wrapped things up pretty nicely and I was tempted not to bother with it. However, I mistakenly downloaded the 2nd in the series thinking it was a 4th book in the original Watchers trilogy. The minute I started reading I realised my mistake so bought this first. I'm so pleased I did. Toby has continued the story beautifully, even though the timeline has jumped ahead 20 years. The originally beloved characters are all present and accounted for, albeit dead in some cases, but he explains that too. I've devoured the first two books in the series, now on to the final one....

This whole series has gripped me from the start. Earlier parts of the storyline seemed to be close to the hunger games but as the author has developed the story it has improved from being a page turner to the situation where I couldn't read the books fast enough to find out the next twist. A book that I will treasure in my collection.

The seekers trilogy
I'm so amazed by these books, they grab you and don't let go. Each page brings you in deeper into the adventure of these people. All you want to see is there life's making it, as they deal with all the madness that's unfolding.
