Almost the first half of the book was very interesting and entertaining.
Katie was an ordinary average girl.

I have been in the biggest reading slump of my life since the end of august… it lasted for about two months and was absolutely awful… fortunately around the end of october I finally got out of it and got back to reading more like I am used to :) unfortunately I still don’t want to sit down and write *proper* reviews… you know, detailed and with full and coherent sentences… ;) usually when I get like this I can wait it out and then catch up on everything once that mood passes, b ...more

Dirty Like Me was an awesome rock star romance with a great H & h who were both fun, sweet, and totally sexy with smoking hot chemistry. I loved it but I will say that it felt longer than it needed to be because it did slow down for me but overall I'm so happy I read it.

This is a first rate rock romance that gives you everything you would want; super-hot rocker who does not do girlfriends, a “normal” girl with a chance of a lifetime, a connection between these two that everyone around them sees, and sexual chemistry that is off the charts. I read this book because I legit felt bullied into it. Every single Amazon search I’ve done for the past 6 months has shown me this book first. The author’s ad spend must be astronomical, because it doesn’t matter what I was searching for, Amazon thought this book was the answer to my prayers. Need a great romance to read? Try Dirty Like Me! I love me a rocker book and what's better then a sexy rocker book? A sexy rocker book where there's a relationship of convince. I do enjoy a good rockstar romance, although I sometimes struggle with the alcohol, drugs and sexual promiscuity that seems to accompany this genre.
I did quite like this one, and it was nice that the couple didn't have wall-banging sex before we hit chapter 2, but there was just a bit too much of the "oh please, just fuck me, already!" line, (it ran on a seemingly endless loop) and that takes the romantic shine off it for me.
The continuous public grinding and face-sucking/groping got on my nerv ...more

In the beginning, this book was exactly everything I was looking for in a romance. It reminded me a bit of Pretty Woman. Then it turned into something I couldn't connect with no matter how hard I tried. I'd say the writing is good, it just threw me for a loop how the characters personalities seemed to change pretty drastically overnight. Unfortunately, there are just too many amazing books out there just waiting to be picked up so I DNF'd this one...

Jaine Diamond is a new to me author, nevertheless, I decided to give this book a chance as I was intrigued by the blurb. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, however, I hoped that my journey into uncharted waters would be a worthwhile one. That being said I must confess that I enjoyed my journey, despite there being aspects of the story which I had an issue with.

Jaine Diamond is new to me and I believe she will be taking the romance world by storm. Her writing gives you all the feels and pulls you in. I read books daily and its so great when you find an author that can grab your attention and hold it. Her characters are well developed and the story is intriguing. Yes, it is a rocker romance; and yes, that has been done before, but when it is done well, it doesn't matter.

This was a feel good story, rock star makes a girl an indecent proposal. Spend six weeks with him with on tour being his 'fake' girlfriend. It starts off as a business deal, but as time goes on she starts to do exactly what she feared. She falls for him. The story was good and I really like all the characters.

This is my first time reading a Jaine Diamond book. I love the fake-to-real romance trope, plus, a rockstar? You got me! Dirty Like Me is the first book in the Dirty series. This standalone introduces the band and entourage you’ll get to know more during the next books.
The romance between Katie and Jesse was fun, hot and intense. And the dialogue was well done, I felt immersed in the story. I also loved the secondary characters - helloooo, Zane!

Well, this was coasting to a 4 star read but the ending just kinda fizzled out and brought it down a star for me.
I really enjoyed the story for most of the book. The relationship between Jesse and Katie was quite hot at times and super steamy. Just for some reason as it neared the end it just started to fizzle out for me. Nor was I super engaged in their relationship beyond the sexy and funny times.
Still a good book for the most part and probably my last of this series. Reasons below:

I stumbled across this book from an Ad but the blurb hooked me. I love a good rockstar read and a fake relationship, combine the two and throw in tons a chemistry and you have a great story. Cute, funny, steamy this read definitely satisfies.
