Haha! I read a physical book! I seem to avoid them lately cause it frustrates me that I can´t seem to focus long enough to actually read with my eyes.
But this read was very satisfying. The text was very easy to read - I recommend this to young readers a lot! - and the pictures are very very well selected so that they fit the text perfectly.
The illustrations are drawn with much care for detail.
It´s also great for readers who can´t deal with textwalls. Each page ist decorated or illustrated with fitting pictures. they don´t only help you see what is described in the text, but they also cut a long text into short pieces, which gives the mind time to rest.
Each paragraph has it´s own little headline/ title. this title is expressed as a question so that reading feels like finding the answer. I like that format a lot.

Ich habe es gerne gelesen. Ein Buch für ältere Kinder, und sicherlich reduziert und aufgrund fehlender Differenzierung wissenschaftlich angreifbar - das Kapitel über die Ninja v.a. ziemlich "rangeklatscht". Aber mit schönen Illustrationen und Fotos und einen guten Überblick für mich schaffend.

Informative and well written, but honestly not easily understood by kids (definitely too complex for my smart five year old) or maybe I am destined to read kids books and find them just right for my own intellectual level. Great preparation for our trip to the Samurai Museum.
