Thriller with lots of action.

Jack Sheridan, became contract assassin after service and first time has a girlfriend, he really cares about. He also adores her seven years old daughter. Wife abusing, dirty lieutenant governor wants Jack to kill governor so he can be governor. To make this possible, wants Jack to kill him, by arranging the kidnapping of the little girl. Good story, but don't read the epilogue before going to sleep. Can't wait for the next book.
Had to read parts of the book again, highly recommend this book.

I won this book from the author and it does not affect my review. This is the second book for Jack Sheridan. Lt. Governor Chilcott thinks he can use Jack to do his bidding. Chilcott has Jack’s girlfriend’s daughter kidnapped. He tells Jack that if he wants her back, Jack will have to kill who he tells him to. Jack has to explain to his girlfriend what kind of work he does and that it is his fault she was kidnapped. He promises her that he will get her back or die trying. Of course, Jack will never do what he is told and only knows one way to get her back.

Great story

This novel is one of the author’s best. Nonstop action and suspense mixed with reflection and a need for a hired killer to seek a "normal" life with a women he loves and her child. Recommended

It has been a couple years since we last heard from Jack Sheridan, the ex-operative/contract assassin, but it was well worth the wait! Lt. Governor Bradley Chilcott should have chilled out before thinking he could get Jack to do his evil bidding. You see it is the evil guys that Jack eliminates. Chilcott wants to be Governor, but the current one decides to run for another term. He thinks that having his chief of security kidnap Sheridan's girlfriend's daughter will make Jack do what he wants.. Bad move Brad! Excellent thriller with lots of action!

Jack Sheridan is stuck in a perilous situation. A corrupt politician has given him a no win choice. Jack can murder another politician or a little kidnapped girl will be killed. This choice makes for an amazing and chilling thriller. I couldn't put it down!

This return to the world of Jack Sheridan was well worth the wait. The case that we find Jack involved in this time is extremely personal with the highest of stakes. The story is intense and the action is non-stop and it makes for an excellent read!
