Danny and Liv's fairytale ended with the perfect happily ever after. They had everything they ever wanted, and more. But their happiness was not all that mattered…
Now more than ever, they want their friends to find their happy endings too. And they will stop at nothing to see it happen. But if they keep putting everyone else before themselves, What will become of them?
Find out in this series concluding novella. Six friends, three love stories, one future. Told for the first time from all points of view.
They may be incredible people, but they are still just human.
I loooved the Just Human series so much so I almost had a heart attack when I came across this quick read. Ahhh, it's been years. I didn't know I was missing Danny and Liv so much until I started on this one.
It was so good to look into their lives now, years after getting back together. Life will never be perfect, even after the HEA. It was evident that despite all the loving, there are still going to be bumps along the way. And I loved how Danny and Liv and their other couple friends managed to overcome these bumps and stay strong.
I rarely five-star a novella but KH always makes my heart happy. So here it is! This is a must-read, folks! Or start with the main series and then add this cherry on top.
I like this little concluding to Danny and Liv's story. Three couples and three overlapping story lines. It's nice to read from their friends POV and the struggles they are going through to reach happiness.
The concept of something that you crave and want and you know it will make you smile but at the same time sad it will be over. That is how I felt about this novella.
Don't get me wrong, I was as surprised as everyone that I would get more Liv and Danny. I loved how Still Human ended; I bought purple Converse! It isn't just Liv and Danny though! More Max and Charlie. More Jen and Scott. More little people. More Connie - the most amazing Great Aunt ever.
If you are a blog/Facebook junkie you might have read a couple of shorts that Kerry wrote for them but they were lost in the Internet ether. Not anymore - here they are! Valentine's Day - Danny you sexy book husband! Today I wore a little black dress and red cardigan in homage to my boy and his girl. I did wear knickers though. Purple ones.
A beautiful end to a beautiful series about down to earth people and their amazing friends. My love is forever rooted in them.
I love a good quote, these made me sigh, may be even cry (I did cry):
"The overwhelming feeling I get each time I see her this way, hits me. It doesn't get old, it doesn't run out, it's always there, that same way I've always felt when I look into her eyes. Like I'm home."
"It's a symbol of our love. Resilient, beautiful and strong. It reminds me when things are tough that when the roots are deep, there is no need to fear the wind."
This novella catches up with all of the whole crew from the Just Human duet, so not only Danny and Liv, but also Max and Charles, and Jen and Scott. Nice conclusion to each couple's story.
