This book is poorly designed with large blocks of type with little relief. Good luck getting through the very first meandering chapter, Steampunk and its Origins, as the writer is no historian. The remainder of the book had me doubting if the author was even a jewelry designer... Too many of the photographs showcase the models and not the jewelry, the photos that accompany the DIY directions are poorly lit, out of focus, shot from too far away, sometimes all three! The VERY FIRST project is attaching a clasp to a ready-made chain%^&*? AND the author shows you the absolutely wrong way to open a jump ring... I could continue but... you've been warned.

This is a good place to start, especially for a beginner or newcomer to steampunk. I enjoyed it and the wide variety of projects.
