Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Truly thrilling and full of jaw-dropping suspense and sizzling, heart-felt romance, this book opened my eyes to a world of danger, passion and love. Red's Salvation drew me in from the start and I was GLUED to my ereader until the very last page. I was constantly on the edge wondering what was going to happen and my heart was just a thumping through the whole book. And the love and passion between Catori and her lost husband was just touching, beautiful and just

4 unexpected stars

I have this tendency lately of picking up books that are part of a long series and not having read any of the previous ones beforehand. Now, sometimes I'm lucky enough and even if they happen to be the series conclusion, I'm easily able to follow the storyline, and at other times, I'm at a loss and try to keep up as best as I can. Red's Salvation by Kennedy Lane is one of those that I followed easily but I know that I'd benefit f

What's the right way to grieve? Anyone know? Because I don't. I don't think anyone does, I think we just do the best we can to draw breath without your insides ripping apart, get out of bed and try to put one foot in front of the other, etc. Catori Starr has learned to live with grief as her constant companion after losing her entire team, and beloved husband, Brenden (Red) during a mission gone wrong. Initially her focus was on a rescue but over the years, she's resigned

Great way to bring this series to a close. Having learned Red was still alive, Cat prepares to rescue him from his captivity in Pakistan. I was a little worried that most of the book was about the rescue and the problems encountered, but they did get rescued and Red was faced to getting used to no longer being held and tortured. Gavin Crest, one of my favorite characters from the CSA series was also in this book. Loved the story and the author's in-depth research brought the fight to rescue Red ...more

This is the last book and the conclusion of the series. This is the book and story I've been waiting for.

We've gotten to know the owners of the team and business throughout the series. Mostly through the woman who was the wife of the first team which had a last mission which they failed at. However, for years now, everyone thought all the team members of that mission were dead. However, based up on the information retrieved from their last mission and her pressure in Washington, they found some

You would have thought the last in the series wouldn't keep us on the edge of our seats, find your hand making an unexpected fist and then thinking of the next possible way to get out of the mess!! I swear I even found myself holding my breathe when they needed to be quiet!!! My word! I thought every book in this series was outstanding but wow! She saved the best for last. How that was even possible I don't know....but she did it. Oh man, I think I need to make an appointment with myself and

The Finale

It was everything that I hoped for and more. The final book in the Red Starr series was emotional, joyful, suspenseful, and satisfying. A great series.

One final adventure for the Promised Land...

Fitting end to the Red Starr Series. I'm sad it's over but so happy it ended with Red's rescue. I was hoping to see Red and Catori walk off into the sunset and I am not disappointed. True to the Red Star franchise, nothing was easy, clear cut or predictable. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end! Catori Starr is my shero, all the men of Red Starr, and Gavin Crest, are my heroes.

The door is cracked open and there is a small chance Layne may

Wow great ending!

I hate that its over maybe we can see the team in a crest book or an off shoot. There is nothing to say that will not give too much away other than wow. I was moved more than once with Red's story. The emotions were heartfelt and we got to see the human side of Cat more than ever before. Bravo
Some serious danger lies ahead when you read this book. There were a couple times I think my eyes almost popped out of my head. KL does a great job getting across the military aspect behind the HRT and it flows with the book. This story was a super fast smooth read.

What a great way to end an awesome series. We had all felt Star's pain from book 1. Losing the love of her life and having to finally move on. Then later as she learns he is not dead. Now comes the rescue. Red and spent these past years a a prisoner of the enemy of the US. Dreaming every day of his Star. I was so on the edge of my seat the whole book. Nothing like the good feels of a great reunited story. ...more

Red’s Salvation by Kennedy Lane
My rating 5 of 5 stars

Catori “Cat” Starr has been grieving her husband for years. She never imagines receiving the coordinates to the camp he is being held at. Cat will move heaven and earth to bring her husband back home even, if it involves sacrificing her life. The other members of Red Starr think Cat is to emotionally involved to participate in the mission to rescue her husband. Will she be able to put her emotions aside and complete the mission?

I was so glad that Red's return was how the series would end, I was hoping this was the case from the beginning. While I loved getting the story of Red's rescue, it was a little more of the actual rescue/fighting than I expected. I was looking forward to getting to know Cat and Red on a more personal level but since they weren't really alone or off the mission until nearly the end of the book there were only a couple of chapters of them getting back their life. So I have to admit I was a little ...more

Red's Salvation a fitting end.

It is always hard as a reader when one of your favorite book series come to an end. And this was no exception and Kennedy Layne raised the bar really high with this one. Catori has been looking for her husband for years never truly believing that he was dead. She always felt that she would know if he had died and left her alone. Red and his entire crew went missing on their last mission. I knew this book would be hard to read and I prepared myself for the emotional

What a fitting climax to this series!

I have loved reading this series and in the early days mourned the loss of Cat's partner with everyone else; her struggle to delve into each day without him, missing a piece of her soul whilst trying to support her team and honour him at the same time was a true balancing act that flayed her. When it came to light through rumour that he survived? Well.....couldn't wait!! This final book was incredible. I can easily picture the rescue, the rugged terrain they

It's taken Catorie Starr years to overcome the crippling grief of her husband Red’s disappearance on an overseas mission.

Brendan “Red” O’Neill’s last mission has left him a political prisoner. He has tried to keep sane in some of the most horrific circumstances a human can endure.

They both know the almost insurmountable odds he will face after his years in captivity. He is fearful of the many triggers he would face and Catori is determined to be there every step of the way.

Tears of despair, heartbreak, euphoria and that was just my tears!

Kennedy has produced an absolute diamond with Red's Salvation. Not going to lie, I strung this book out, I normally devour her books in a day but I knew the end was coming and wanted to hang onto these characters a little while longer.

Red is ALIIVE! Catori, her Boys with the help of Crest and his boys bring him home. As always with Kennedy's worlds, it full of action, suspense, feelings and brilliant storytelling.

Red's Salvation is the final book in the Red Starr series. It can be read as a standalone as it was easy to follow and get caught up, but I would recommend reading from the start of the series. The story was full of action, danger and suspense. It kept me captivated from start to finish. Catori and the team learn that Red is alive and they are going in to rescue him. The love and devotion Red and Catori had for eachother was awe-inspiring. ...more

What can I say. This is the best. Red Starr is on a mission that will be back the name sake of their group. Cat is determined to bring home her husband. This book has it all. It is a wild ride from beginning to end. Love getting to know Red and seeing Cat in a different light.

Epic series ending

Way to go Ms Layne. The ending we've all been waiting for, although not withstanding the terrible time Red endured. A beautiful love story of endurance and Faith. I'm sad we're saying goodbye to these characters who've become very familiar like old friends. Looking forward to reading more books from you.

Loved It

When Cat finds out where they are holding Red nothing will stop her from going after him - what an amazing end to this love story. Have your tissues ready you will defiantly be bawling - I've followed this series from book 1 and was thrilled it turned out the way it did.

Excellent conclusion to Red's rescue. Kennedy's writing of Cat and Red's emotions, fears and anxiety kept me at the edge of my seat. Best one yet! The pages flew by, leaving me sad that I finished the book...I want more..
