Patrick Lose's Whimsical Cross-Stitch

Rate this book
The hallmarks of Patrick Lose's designs are bright colours, simple shapes and a touch of silliness. This book presents instructions for over two dozen of his cross-stitch projects, including a Jack-o-lantern wall-hanging, a snowman doll, Christmas tree decorations and hand towels.

I always like Lose's designs, but I honestly don't think they translate well to cross-stitch. Many of the projects here require filling in large areas with the same color of floss - the MOST BORING part of cross-stitching, and one that always makes me wonder, "Why am I stitching this instead of painting it?" On the plus side, there are a few smaller, quickie projects like pins and magnets that would make nice gifts for coworkers or relatives.
