Well, what a way to end a book! The set up for part 2 👏🏾🤌🏾👌🏾! I can’t believe it took me so long to finish this, as it is the start of a great story!!

Kahlil, what a man he turned out to be! I loved the way his character was developed & how he was raised! He definitely went through some life changing things that helped mold & morphed him into the man he became! His mom was a SAINT, I was sad at the outcome of her life! Cherish, became a beautiful woman! Especially with everything that she went through growing up! She lacked so many things in her life & her insecurities played a part in some of her biggest setbacks. I’m glad that she was able to gain confidence, & grow into a person that eventually loved herself! I can’t wait to see the outcome between her and Kahlil, especially with everything happening with this clown Cain.

Not having the proper tools & falling victim to so many things because you lacked those tools will sometimes help change the trajectory of one’s life! There were so many great lessons about life in this first part! I’m anxious to read part 2!

Cherish was faced with one dilemma after the other. Things drastically changed while in Compton but thank God for Serenity. I liked Khalil in the beginning when they first met each other but once they reached high school he was pissing me off. He should've been able to continue his friendship regardless of what others thought. I knew from the jump Caine wouldn't be worth a damn and even though he suffered early in his childhood it still didn't give him the right to treat people the way he did. I wasn't even surprised at what Khalil found out about Caine in the end because I had my speculations when it happened. I applauded Khalil for trying to get Cherish to focus on herself but his approach was all wrong. Lawd knows Kayla needs to get the boot. Cherish was too trusting once getting to college and I must say she learned a valuable lesson. I can't wait for part 2 because I'm hoping Khalil and Cherish will realize they're made for each other, Caine will get some karma for the new revelation, Kayla will kick rocks, and Cherish's self-esteem is high enough to not fall back into the old things that may arise from returning home.

Some of the Cherish went through broke my heart. Im glad Khalil was there to help her. I hope they find their way back to each other.

5 Star Read

This was a very good read. It was very well written. I hope Cherish and Khalil will be able to reconnect. They are great for each other. They are best friends and soulmates. Caine's past is horrible and he needs help with his issues. He has done some horrible things. I hope that he stays away from Cherish, but I doubt if he will. Anyway, I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read part 2. Great job, Kendra Rainey!

Thick chicks reign

This book was well written. Little to no mistakes. Lately I have been reading g books that were poorly edited which made reading the book hard. I loved this story. When the father died I thought it was going to be some ratchet story but it wasn't. I fell in live with Kahlil.

Great Read!

This book is a learning tool for all women who have low self-esteem. We're so nurturing sometimes that we forget to nurture self first but I'm happy with the path Cherish and Khalil are on, but for their sake I hope it is the right one for their relationship, whether it's friends or lovers. We shall see in the next installment. Loved It! 👍ReneeG

Destined for greatness

Cherish had the life she thought every little girl dreamed of, until tragedy struck her father. He was her everything and her mom's world. From homeless to struggling to survive she's destined for greatness. Khalil and his family are life savers but tragedy strikes them. Meet Cain the devil himself or is he? Definitely a must read book.

This was a very good read. Sad at times as Cherish really experienced a lot of turmoil at a young age. Khalil was a good friend to have. Caine was not a likable fellow & I hope he has changed for the better. Storyline detailed, well written & held my attention. Looking forward to part 2.

Awesome

Awesome story so many women deal with these issues I’m happy this author wrote about it. It’s uplifting to read about a woman that doesn’t fit into what the world thinks is beautiful.

This was my first read from this author. I thought it was a well developed read but it seemed to drag a bit in some parts for me, though I still enjoyed it. It will be interesting to see how the relationship works out between Cherish and Kahlil

Wooooo

I loved this book it was sad that Caine did that to Khalil mom. Its crazy how many can claim to love you but make you feel so low and unwanted where you believe that nobody will ever want you but him.

This was a good book. I’m glad Cherish began to love herself despite her weight. My heartbreaks for Khalil & his twin sisters. Caine got what he deserved but they should’ve kept his a** in jail. I know Khalil will seek revenge. Looking forward to finding out what happens in part 2.

Great read

I enjoyed this book. Like most plus size girls Cherish definitely had self esteem issues. Choosing the wrong to fall for definitely deepened those issues. Caine was full of ish. I didn't like him one bit smh. I love Khalil, I admit he did Cherish wrong when they first started higher school but he did correct his ways. I hope him Cherish can pick up where they left off and I hope Caine get what is coming to him and Khalil don't get caught up in any mess behind him. I hope Cherish continue to be strong and don't allow Caine back inn her life just to break her down again I know he is definitely going to try it.

Someone needed this!

I love this book 1 bc it was about being a plus size women and the struggles and pain we just bc our weight. I just love Khalil he had to grow up so fast and take care of his sister's since his mom was killed, I was mad the way he treated Cherish when they in high school but he just wanted to remain popular. I can't stand Caine and hopefully he doesn't come with the bs but I can already see that coming. I wish Khalil would get rid of the chic bc she is no good and she's annoying already.

Fantastic read!

The thicker the berry, sweeter the juice was a well written and awesome read. The details and storyline was clear and well thought of as well as accurate and informative. It played with every emotion that you possess. It captured my attention from beginning to end as I felt like I was part of the story.... It also educated you on issues that were going on and still goes on. So with that being said, I hope that part two is around the corner. Can't wait! Great job!

This book is a must read. To read a story about a BBW is a wonderful thing. The author does a great job telling a story that many can relate to. This will touch you, move you and make you wanna cry. Believable, realistic, and awesome. A lot of girls and women could learn some life lessons from this book. The author has touched on some many girls lives and shown that self love is the best love. Can't wait for part 2.

It was a good read. I love Cherish and I was so glad when she got over her relationship with Caine. He didn't deserve her. I however love her relationship with Khalil and hope they're able to work things out. Cherish came into her own and became the secure woman that I knew she could be. Looking forward to reading part 2.
