Contrary to most of the comments posted, I didn’t find this book to be that revelating regarding the critique of Thai history. Nevertheless, the author was able to make his points and back them with details in concise manner. If you have been following the writing pieces of the liberal side of the Thai political figures/academics, nothing in this book would come as an “eye-opener” for you. Still a good read for those wanting to dig deeper into how ultra-nationalist-monarchist became the cornerstone of Thai politics through the lens of the Thai historical context.
