This is a delightful book that should be a must read for anybody who is a fan of every 20th century American art. Written by William Glackens's son, the book is largely based on experiences that the son (Ira) had with his parents (both accomplished artists) and their artist friends (Everett Shinn, Robert Henri and many others).

This biography of William Glackens by his son Ira is fascinating reading. The Ashcan School artists are revealed as a wonderful set of men.
