This is my go-to origami book because is offers projects for the beginner. Other books tend to get too advanced too quickly for a novice like me.

I particularly liked the xmas garland project. It looks so good using the paper with different colors on both sides that I keep it up year-round and get compliments.

This was a nostalgia purchase. Something my son mentioned gave me a vague memory of an origami book we had in my old primary school library. I got online and managed to track down a 2nd hand copy in good nick.

It lived up to the memories. And looking back, I'm surprised my library stocked it. It skips all the standard simple models, like the waterbomb and crane variations, and has a range of unique models from simple to complex designs. It's funny now seeing the names involved are people I've now seen in other books.

The only downside is that a number of them require non-square paper, which is a bit of a pain, but that's probably more a statement on my laziness to get out a ruler and some scissors rather than on the book itself.
